LOS ANGELES (OC).–Dr. Anthony Fauci returned to the Senate hot seat before Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) refusing to anser Paul’s questions about the his past testimony and origins of the deadly novel corona virurs that killed about 1.1 million citizens. Fauci, before retiring from the National Institutes of Health, was head of allergy and infectious disease before retiring Dec. 31, 2022. As reported today in the AP, Fauci was identified as the nation’s leading expert in infectious disease, once heading up former President Joe Biden’ corona virus task force. Fauci worked for President Donald Trump during the virulent out break in 2020 that spread in the population like wildfire/ Fauci has little good to say about Trump’s management of the infectious disease crisis, a key part in the Democrats strategy to sabotage Trump’s 2020 campaign. Fauci worked hand-in-hand with Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward.
Woodward’s book on the coronavirus in 2020 titled, “Rage,” essentially blamed Trump for mismanaging the deadly corona virus outbreak, citing experts from his book about Trump’s admissions early on in the crisis. Faudi and Woodward worked as Democrat operative during the 2020 campaign to undermine Trump’s chance of reelection. While Trump likes ot blame universal mail-in ballots, the 2020 electorate had plenty of reservations about returning him to the White House. Fauci in 2020 testified before Paul’s committee denying that he had anything to do with the virus outbreak. Fauci, at the time, was part of a group of scientists together with the World Health Organization, that said the virus occurred naturally in Wuhan, China, most likely from animal-tp-human transmission. Fauci was viewed by the press as a grandfather-like figure responsible for saving the country.
Paul got information early on the Fauci funded from the National Institutes of Health research groups that funded corona virus research, challenging Fauci’s insistence that the virus occurred naturally, was not created in a Wuhan bioweapons laboratory. Paul wanted to get to the bottom of the origin of the virus but Fauci did everything possible to cover-up any role he played in funding “gain-of-function” research that paid scientist to see whether an inert virus could be turned into a deadly infectious disease crisis. Fauci denied to Paul under oath that he every used NIH funds to pay for “gain of function” research on corona viruses. Why credentialed news organizations like the AP would insinuate that Paul has some kind of obsession to discredit and bolame Fauci for creating the virus is anyone’s guess. Taking the 5 th Amendment in yesterday’s hearing over 500 times was puzzling.
Democrats in Paul’s committee defended Fauci while Republicans sought answers to opened ended questions about the origin of the deadly corona virus. Faudi early in in 2020 had an entire committee connected to the prestigious British Medical Journal Lancet that insisted that the virus occurred naturally, was not hatched in a laboratory, by random occurring events leading to animal to human transmission. Paul was one of the first to ask Fauci his role in paying with NIH funds for “gain of function” research tthat took harmless bat corona viruses and experimented on them with various drugs until the virus because the most infectious organism on the planet. Once that happened, lab workers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were oontacted, potentially spreading the infectious disease to the Wuhan population. Wuhan was the epicenter of the deadly corona virus outbreak.
Fauci frustrated Paul by flat-out denying any involvement in funding “gain of function” research that tinkered in the Wuhan lab until it because an infectious disease monster. Fauci paid millions to to his friend Peter Dasaek at the New York=based EcoHealth Alliance. Dasaek’s EcoHealth Alliance paid Wuhan’s chief virologist Shi Zhengli over a million dollars to engage in “gain of function” research, something denied for years by Fauci in all his concressional testimony. Why Democrats and fake news, like the AP, think it’s OK to discredit Paul by saying he has some kind of obsession with Fauci is anyone’s guess. Wouldn’t Demcorats like to know the role Fauci played in developing the the deadly novel corona virus? Yet back in 2020, an election, everything because partisan, as Democrats smelled blood, wathing the Trump campaign squirm because bo Fauci and Woodward.
Watching the AP report on Paul’s hearing with Fauci reminds the public how the fake news cannot be trusted no matter how respected or legitimate. There’s nothing Paul asked Faudi that he hasn’t asked him before, establishing a clear case of Contempt of Contrss and perjury for lying about the deadly novel corona virus under oath. Fauci isn’t, as the AP insinuates, an obsessions of Paul’s, he’s a former public servant that did everything in his power to cover up the origin of the deadly virus and how to prevent it in the future. Paul had every right ot hold Fauci’s feet to the fire for lying in the past about the virus, then using Democrats and the fake news to discredit Paul from doing his job. Fauci now defends himself by refusing to answer simple question by besmirching Paul for trying to put him behind bars. Paul wants the truth, not partisan excuses from Fauci, Democrats and fake news.
