LOS ANGELES (OC).–Showing that President Donald Trump’s long-term strategy is beginning to pay off, with attack occurring in the Kurdish hinterlands near the Iran border in Paveh, the Kerrnaarishah Province, reported by the Tasnim news agency closely tied to the IRGC. IRGC forces are hard-pressed to defend Iran’s northern border with most the resource poued into the IRGC closely guarding the Strait of Hormz. Iran’s long-forgotten Kurdish population sees President Donald Trump’s Iran War as an opportunity to make headway in northern Iran. Whenever the Kurds have tried during the 1980-1989 Iran-Iraq War to make progress toward an inpendent Kurdish State the IRGC has been there to suppress the insurgency. But whether Iran likes it or not, the Kurdes are more closely aligned witht the U.S. and Israel, looking for any opportunity to establish a Kurdish State.
Syrian Kurds played a big role in the first Trump administration in destroying the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, eventually killing its founder Abu Baku al-Baghdadi Oct. 27, 2019, proving the Kurdish Peshmerga fighters fierce warrirors. Trump took much of the credit for al-Baghdadi’s death but the Kurdis Pesmerga played a big role. IRGC leadership knows that the Kurdisn Peshmerga can turn on Iran on an instant;s notce, killug four IRGC fighters today. If Trump wants to make progress with the IRGC in the Strait of Hormuz, he would be well-advised to arm-and-fund the Iranian Kurds looking for any opportunity to declare a homeland in northern Iran. Trump knows the help the Kurds gave him in defeating ISIS, he would have the same luck arming-and-funding Kurds in the Strait of Hormuz. IRGC forces give no signs of letting go of its control of the Strait.
Truymp has found himself in a stalemate with the IRGC for weeks, trading strikes, then letting Pakistani and now Qatari mediators deal directly with Iran. Iraniians haven’t had diplomatic relations with the U.S. since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, preferring instead to go through intermediaries for any peace talks. Problem now is that the IRGC controls Iran’s cuvukuab government, making it impossible to find any agreement in peace talks. Iran’s IRGC used work for the Tehran-based mullah government but now controls everything that comes out of Tehran. When Iran’s Foreign Monbister Abbas Aragchi the Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bacher speaks, the IRGC doesn’t pay attention. Only the IRGC makes the military decisions to strike U.S. assets at bases around the Persian Gulf. Trump has zero control what’s promised out of the Tehran government.
All the mediation from Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mahammad bin Abduraaaahman al Thani reaffirmed that he would eo anything to help bring about an end to the Iran War. He says nothing about how the IRGC has taken over all control for the Tehran-based civilian mullah government, leaving any mediation from any country questionable because the IRGC operates independently of Tehran. Since Trump admits that the U.S. population wants no boots on the ground, the Kurds represent the best hope for defeating the IRGC. Once the IRGC gets directly involved in defeating the IRGC in the north and the Hormuz Strait, Trump can supply all the cash-and-arms needed to end the war. As it stands now, Iran;s civilian government with whom Trump negotiates had no say in any military actions. Only by neutralizing the IRGC can Trump get a long-term peace deal.
Using the Kurds for U.S. boots on the ground in the Strait of Hormuz gives Trump the most leverage for driving the IRGC out of the area. As long as they can fire indiscriminately at commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices will continue to vacillate on on world markets. Endting today at $70.09 a barrel, global oil traders aren’t too concerned about returning to all-out war. Trump has shown patience with IRGC attacks on U.S. military bases primarily in Kuwait and Bahrai, but largely because he;s playing the long-game with the IRGC, waiting for the Kurds to play a bigger role in neutralizing the IRGC. Kurds would like nothing more than to care an independent homeland out of northern Iran, where, for years, the IRGC has suppressed Kurdish attempts at indpendenct. Trump has the right idea arming the Kurds to provide boots on the ground for Washington.
Trump looks like he’s on the right track making use of the Kurds to neutralized the IRGC in northern Iran and the Strait of Hormuz. Since Trump wants no part of U.S. boots on the ground, the Kurds could prove a valuable asset, just like they did in 2019 when they defeated ISIS and killed ISIS founder Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Iran’s Tehran-based mullah government no longer controls the IRGC, in fact, the the exact opposite is true. IRGC has taken over the civilian government, making any long-term peace deal next to impossible. Everytime Trump makejs progress toward peace with Padistani and Qatari mediators, the IRGC sabotages the peace violating the MOU. Letting the Kurds handle the IRGC is the best way to gain a foothold in Iran to neutralize a terror group now running Iran. Only by putting pressure on the IRGC can Trump complete a lasting peace.
