LOS ANGELES (OC).–Epitomizing the fake news, the Associate Press [AP] slammed President Donald Trump for sending confusing messages to the press about the Iran War in terms of objectives and current diplomacy to end the conflict. But instead of giving Trump the benefit-of-the-doubt, the AP only cites so-called experts critical of Trump, making it look like Trump runs a confusing and inconsistent war strategy, often changing his positions on daily basis. When it comes to AP, rarely to they cite foreign policy or national security experts that agree with Trump overall strategy in the Iran War. Democrats and fake news use the war a political talking points heading into the 2026 Midterm elections, essentially saying Trump has no real plan or strategy when it comes to the Iran War. Trump has said repeatedly that his first aim of operation Epic Fury was to demilitarize Iran.
What’s so complicated to Democrats and fake news that that Iran has been menacing the Mideast for decades, fomenting proxy war against U.S. interests and allies, since Iran broke off diplomatic relations after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Why Iran’s mullah rulers blame the U.S. and Israel for all their problems is anyone’s guess. U.S. and Israel could be great assets to the U.S. and Israel but Iran prefers to use the U.S. and Israel as a global foil, offen calling for “Death to Israel, Death to the U.S.” something that whips up anti U.S. and anti-Israel sentiments on the streets. Only recently has the Arab Gulf States gotten the message that Iran is actually out to dominate the Mideast when, in fact, it has no real air defenses, resorting to more terrorist tactics to resist U.S. military intervention. Iran only has drones and ballistic missiles left and a limited group of Revolutionary Guards in the Strait of Hormuz.
If you listen to the AP, Trump has done nothing to advance U.S. foreign policy and national security, when he’s already accomplished neutralizing Iran’s ability to wage war against its Persian Gulf neighbors. “Because it happened very quickly, it wasn’t sold to the American public in a way that I thing was plausible,” said former State Dept. officials Elizabeth Dent, critical of Trump’s strategy. Well, the AP only likes to cite former Obama and Biden officials who say nothing positive about Trump.”Now I think Trump is sort of doing everything he can to prevent a return of hostilities because he saw how unpopular the war was,” Dent said, Well, the war is certainly unpopular with Democrats and the fake news. When it comes to what Trump has actually accomplished it’s actually quite remarkable, since Iran is a shell of its former self, no longer capable of waging war.
What is actually so ambiguous to Democrats and the press about Trump’s Iran war strategy? He said he would degrade Iran’s ability to wage war and threaten its neighbors. Trump said he would degrade Iran’s nuclear enrichment program which he’s done. He said he would work with other opposition groups like the Iranian Kurds to promote regime change in Tehran. Where’s the confusion to the AP? Democrats and fake news outlets like the AP know what Trump has actually done but wants to repeat political talking points to discredit Trump before the 2026 Midterm elections. “This is not an administration that operates based on a policy process. It operates based on impulse. An the president seems now both tired of this war and reluctant to continue investing his political capital into it,” said Ali Valez, Director of the liberal International Crisis Group.
Trump’s critics in the fake news know what Trump has accomplished but only want to give the most biased views of his accomplishments. “Operation Epic Fury is concluded. We achieved the objectives of that operation,” said Secretary of State Marco Rubio. “What the president would prefer is a deal,” Rubio said, drawing more ire from the fake news. AP cites as contradictory Trump’s decision to end U.S. navy escorts through the Strait of Hormuz, working with Islamabad to work out a peace deal. What doesn’t Democrats get that Trump wants a diplomatic solution, threatening Iran with more bombing if they don’t sign onto a peace deal. Trump continues to enforce his blockade on Iranian ports, preventing its commercial shipping from delivering oil, natural gas and fertilizer to destinations like China, India, South Africa and Brazil.
Democrats and the fake news like to point out that the Western allies have done nothing to help Trump open the Strait of Hormuz from Iranian terrorists. Trump said that European allies have a vested interest in opening up the Hormuz Strait because they receive some 25% of their oil and natural gas from the Persian Gulf. “”A lot of countries would love to do something about it. But they don’t have a navv, right? OR they can’t get there in them,” Rubio said, about why the EU allies have done nothing to help open up the strait. Trump’s major objective now is to stop Iran’s blockade on an international waterway that supplies over 20% of the worlds oil and natural gas. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron have been reluctant to get involved in any military operation to help Trump. They have plenty of excuses why they turned their back on Trump.
