LOS ANGELES.–Iran today made good on its promise to retaliate against Israel’s April 1 strike on Al Quds headquarters in Iran’s Damascus embassy complex, killing two generals and 10 others. Turns out that one of the Al Quds’ generals, 63-year-old Mohammed Reza Zahedi, orchestrated the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre killing 1,200 Israelis, mostly teenagers at a Negev music festival, taking another 250 hostage. Zahedi’s involvement was recently admitted by Iran’s Coalition for Islamic Revolution, thanking the deceased general for his work on Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] on the Oct. 7, 2023 codenamed Al-Aqsa Flood that slaughtered 1,200 Israeli citizens, in the biggest one day murder of Jews since the Holocaust. So, when it came to Israel’s attack on Iran’s Damascus Al-Quds’ headquarters it was entirely justifiable based on Mohammed Reza Zahedi’s involvement on Oct. 7.

Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system was active tonight intercepting missiles and drones fired from Iran’s IRGC Special Forces, not from Gaza’s Hamas, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen Houthi rebels or Afghanistan and Syria’s ISIS-K. Iran’s attack on Israel met condemnation from the U.S. and European Union [EU], despite recent criticism of 74-year-old Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Gaza War that Hamas authorities say has killed over 33,000 Palestinians, two-thirds women-and-children. Hamas doesn’t provide verification for its Gaza Health Ministry stats about casualties in the seven month war. Hamas diaspora leader in exile, billionaire Khaled Meshaal, called on all Arabs, including Iran, to begin the war against Israel to destroy the Zionist state. Meshaal made his billions looting Gaza’s treasury over the last 17 years from cash given by oil-rich Gulf Arab states.

No one knows yet the destruction inside Israel from Iran’s indiscriminate barrage of ballistic missiles and drone aimed at Israeli targets. “We are monitoring the threat,” said Israeli military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari. Unable to assess the damage from drone and ballistic missile strikes, Netanyahu vowed retaliation is on its way to the Islamic Republic. Iran’s 84-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei denied that Iran was involved in the Oct. 7 attack. Iran’s Council of Islamic Revolution thanked the late Brig. Gen. Mohammed Reza Zahedi for his planning and work on the Al-Aqsa Flood AKA Oct. 7 massacre. So, when it comes to Israel’s right to target Iran’s Al Quds’ headquarters, there’s no question it was a legitimate target. Now that the Ayatollah has shot missile-and-drones at Israel, he can expect a punishing response from Israel.

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency confirmed that the country’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guards acknowledge launching “dozens of drones and missiles towards the occupied territories and positions of the Zionist regime,” the anti-Semitic and racist rhretoric that gives Hamas the rationale to destroy the Jewish State. IRGC acknowledged using ballistic missiles and Shahed 136-long range drones, the same ones given to Russia attack Ukraine. IDF officials have ordered residents in the Golan Heights near the Syria border to shelter in place together with southern towns of Nevatim and Dimona near the Red Sea, home to Israel’s nuclear site, to also shelter in place until the IRGC attacks subside. “Whoever harms us, we will harm them,” said Netanyahu, serving notice on the Ayatollah that an Israel response will come at some point soon.

President Joe Biden, 81, vowed to defend Israel, putting military assets already in the Mediterranean on high alert to help knock down incoming Iranian missiles and drones. “The United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran,” said National Security Council Spokeswoman Adrienne Watson. Iran warned the U.S. to stay out of its conflict with Israel. “Should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe,” wrote Iran’s mission to the U.N. “It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY,” read the Iranian communiqué. Netanyahu will soon send Iran his response to the indiscriminate Iranian attack on Israel. News about Brig. Gen. Mohammed Reza Zahedi orchestrating the Oct. 7 massacre tells the whole story.

Iran’s throwaway missile-and-drone attack against Israel will have consequences for Iran in the near future. With all the complaining about Netanyahu, coming from Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y) and others, the Israeli people know he’s got Israel’s back and knows how to deal with Iran and other hostile powers. Today, Iran gets to grandstand against Israel. Tomorrow it will be bracing from what’s coming to Tehran, including its nuclear enrichment facilities. Biden thought if he made concessions to the Ayatollah, he could get Iran to make concessions on its nuclear enrichment program. Recent events should confirm to the White House that Iran is an implacable enemy of the United States. Reluctance of Biden to directly target Iran for its foul play in the Mideast and Horn of Africa only hurts U.S. national security. Only a decisive response can stop Iran’s state-sponsored terrorism.
