LOS ANGELES.–Democrats led by 61-year-old former House Impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) dismissed 51-year-old House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer’s (R-Ky.) impeachment inquiry into 81-yyear-old President Joe Biden’s ties to his family’s business. Joe said in 2020 that he knew nothing of his 53-year-old son Hunter’s overseas business deals. But Hunter, himself, told Good Morning America Oct. 15, 2019, only a year before the 2020 presidential election, that he wouldn’t have gotten the job on the board of corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings without his father. Yet his Joe repeatedly denied knowing about anything of Hunter’s foreign business deals with Joe’s 74-year brother James Biden. Comer is investigating whether Joe took any cash from the numerous overseas business deals by Hunter and James Biden.

House Democrats are quick to dismiss any Comer’s allegations, using his witnesses as proof that Biden knew nothing and did not participate or receive any compensation for any of Hunter of James’ overseas business deals. “Given my awareness of his finances and the explicit directions he have to his financial advisers, the allegation that he would engage in any improper conduct to benefit himself of his family is preposterous to me,” said Erick Schwerin who partnered with Hunter and did pro bono bookkeeping for Joe. Just the idea that he did Joe’s books for free makes zero sense, something that violated ethical codes for elected officials taking gifts or free services. Democrats have hammered Associate Justice Clarence Thomas for taking travel benefits from friends, calling for his impeachment.

Comer faces determined Democrat resistance to admit that Joe knew anything of Hunter or his brother James’ overseas business deals. Only one minor problem, Hunter admitted on national TV one year before the 2020 election that he wouldn’t have gotten the Burisma board job without Joe. Joe during that time was former President Barack Obama’s point man on Ukrainian corruption. Joe was caught on video at the Council on Foreign Relations [CFR] Jan. 23, 2028, saying he threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. funding if Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko didn’t fire lead corruption investigator Viktor Shokin. Shokin had opened an investigation into corruption at Burisma Holdings, Hunter’s employer from whom he was receiving over $80,000 a month in compensation. Democrats all deny that the CFR event ever took place.

Comer has his work cut out for him dealing with Democrat denials about Joe’s involvement with Hunter and James’ overseas business deals in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, etc. “We have a consistent pattern of witnesses coming in and telling us that Joe Bide just was not involved in any of the business affairs that the Republicans are talking about,” said Raskin. As Schwerin said, Joe was “not involved in any improper conduct to benefit himself or his family.” Schwerin may think that it’s proper for Joe to profit off his name, something Hunter and James traded off for years. If Schwerin thinks there’s nothing “improper,” then it makes sense he would deny that Joe did anything wrong. Comer recognized that Schwerin was doing Joe Biden’s books for no charge to the Vice President, something that would be regarded as an inappropriate service.

Comer thinks there was no wall between Joe Biden and Hunter as the candidate Biden said in 2020, insisting he knew nothing of Hunter’s overseas business deals. “There was not a wall between Joe Biden and Hunter Biden and the schemes like the president has always said,” insisted Comer. “To be clear, President Biden—while in office or as a private citizen—was never involved in any of the business activities we pursued,” said Rob Walker, a former business partner of Hunter. Walker didn’t say the Joe never benefited from any the Hunter’s business deals only that he wasn’t involved directly. Another Hunter associate Mervyn Yan, a real estate consultant, said he was “unaware of any involvement President Biden may have had with his son’s business pursuits,” meaning he was “unaware” of Joe’s involvement but couldn’t speak for anything else.

Whatever the testimony on Joe’s ties to any of Hunter or his brother Jim’s overseas business deals, no one said that it didn’t happen, only that they knew nothing about it. Former Hunter business partner Tony Bobulinksi said before the 2020 election that Joe, in fact, knew about Hunter’s overseas business deals. “I’ve heard Joe Biden say that he’s never discussed business with Hunter. That is false,” Bobulinski said at an event before the presidential debate. “I have firsthand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” Bobulinski said, completely ignored by the Democrat-friendly press before the 2020 election. Democrats like Raskin would go to the map to cover-up any of Joe’s contacts or knowledge with Hunter and Jim’s overseas business deals. Democrats deny everything now but things could change quickly.
