Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of State Gen. Mark Miley, 65, set to retire Sept. 30, has been the lone voice of the Biden administration telling the truth about the Ukraine War. Miley told 80-year-old President Joe last years that there is no military solution to the Ukraine War, prompting criticism from Kiev and Washington. Ukraine’s fierce propaganda battle, involving numerous fake news sources, insists that Ukraine will defeat the Russian Federation in 2023 and drive all Russian troops from Ukraine’s territory. Western Internet sites, including Google, Facebook, Yahoo, etc. routinely run stories from fake Ukrainian tabloids all touting Ukraine’s progress in the White House-backed proxy war against the Kremlim. Every day news watchers are treated to endless stories of Russian losses and Ukraine’s victories, promising to oust Russia from every inch of Ukrainian territory.

Miley has been the only neutral voice on the Ukraine War, telling Biden in no uncertain terms last year that there is no military solution to the conflict. Miley’s honest assessment, in a sea of deception from the White House and Kiev, earned him criticism for daring to tell the truth. U.S. and NATO allies have struggled to explain the slow progress in 45-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s counteroffensive, going on since the first of the year yet insisting that it started in June. Zelensky faces growing questions about the minimal results of the counteroffensive, constantly having his propaganda minister Kyrlyo Budanov make up more stories for Western press consumption. Kiev worries that a lack of progress would result in a cut off or at least lessening of U.S. cash-and-arms. Ukraine is 100% dependent on U.S. cash to fund its bankrupt government.

White House and Kiev officials have avoided any discussion of Ukraine’s bankruptcy, not admitting that without U.S. and NATO cash, Kiev would not be able fund the government, including Zelensky’s salary. White House officials have no accounting for how the nearly $200 billion in U.S. cash has gone, having only vague Pentagon breakdown of costs attached to various weapons systems, including Patriot Missile Batteries and other ballistic missile systems. Biden and Zelensky’s charade has been exposed by Miley and other GOP members of Congress, referred to by the White House as fringe officials. Biden insists that his anti-Kremlin coalition is still in tact, despite Miley telling the truth. Miley told the BBC today that colder conditions make the counteroffensive more difficult in 2023. White House and Kiev only tout Ukraine’s progress, not setbacks.

Miley’s recent statements are ignored by 60-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken and 45-year-old National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, both cheerleaders for Zelensky. Blinken and Sullivan tried to convince participants over the weekend at the G20 in New Delhi to condemn the Russian Federation in a joint communiqué. Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov praised G20 for its more balanced joint-statement, condemning violence but not the Kremlin. Zelensky and Biden continue to tout Ukraine’s progress, knowing that its gains are measured in inches-and-feet, not miles. “There is still heavy fighting going on,” Miley said, but not exaggerating gains. “The Ukrainians are still plugging away with steady progress,” Miley said, not specifying where, if anywhere, tangible gains were made. Miley warned the 2023 clock is running out on Kiev.

Joint communiqué on Ukraine from the G20 summit shows that many foreign leaders are beginning to shift toward neutrality in the Ukraine War, seeking an end to the conflict through peace talks. Biden and Zelensky no longer can sell the conflict to world leaders, believing the claptrap that they’re going to defeat the Russian Federation. U.S. allies have gone along for the last 18 months but see little evidence that Ukraine can oust the Russian Federation from its sovereign territory. Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to settle the conflict in March 2022, only to see his overtures rebuffed by Washington and Kiev. “I said at the very beginning of this [war] that this was going to be long, slow, hard, and high-casualty –producing, and that exactly what it is, ” Miley said, refuting the White and Kiev narrative. Biden and Zelensky refuse to concede defeat after 18 months of war.

Slated to retire Sept. 30, the White House and Kiev hope that Miley’s replacement will adhere to the party line on Ukraine. Zelensky and Biden want the European Union to believe that Ukraine’ fights for European democracy. EU officials know that it’s the job of NATO, not bankrupt and war-torn Ukraine, to defend European democracy. NATO refused Zelensky’s demands for fast-track NATO membership, primarily because NATO doesn’t want to fight Kiev’s war with the Kremlin. EU officials want to see more progress on ceasefire and peace talks, not escalating the conflict. Zelensky continues to ask for more cash-and-weapons, saying receiving F-16s would tip the war in Ukraine’s direction. Zelensky said the same thing with he pushed the U.S. and NATO for more tanks and other weapon systems. Zelensky has only propaganda because Miley told the truth about the war.
