Diverting attention away from the disastrous G20 Summit, the New York Times decided to focus on what amounts to wild speculation about Trump’s possible running mate. How ironic that the nation’s most anti-Trump publican wants to conjecture about Trump’s possible running mate when the paper consumers itself with all of Trump legal cases potentially sending him to jail. New York Times has tried-and-convicted Trump on their its front pages of all charges by New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg charging Trump with 34 felonies related to an alleged hush money scheme to Stormy Daniels. Times writers find Trump guilty as charged in the Mar-a-Lago classified docs case and Jan. 6, 2022 Capitol riots case. Now the New York Times switches gears and starts speculating about Trump’s possible pick for a VP if he’s not sent to jail with multiple felony convictions.

Talking about 51-year-old South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is premature, since former President Donald Trump has no intent of prematurely naming at a possible VP. All the talk at the Times since Bragg charged Trump April 4 has been about Trump guilt on at least four indictments for hush money payments, classified docs, Jan. 6 insurrection, and more recently, election racketeering in Georgia. When you look at all charges, they’re all deeply flawed, especially by 55-year-old Special Jack Smith. Smith claims Trump defrauded the government telling the public he was robbed of winning the Nov 3, 2020 presidential election. Unless Smith can show Trump knew he lost but lied to the government or public, he has no case. When it comes to his 1917 Espionage Act case with classified docs, it’s doubtful any jury would convict Trump of knowingly harboring classified docs

Trump finds himself in the legal fight of his life, battling four separate indictments totally 91 felonies. Trump’s only saving grace is that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s charges tend to over reach, especially about charging Trump with defrauding the U.S. government because he thinks he was cheated by corrupt Democrat election officials out of the 2020 election. Smith thinks charging Trump under the 1917 Espionage Act because of outdated classified docs found in moving boxes at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence are equally suspect. Smith already went public saying that finding classified does in moving boxes in Trump’s basement threatens U.S. national security. Whatever the infraction of harboring classified docs, it certainly doesn’t threaten U.S. national security. Smith should look twice about. Smith should look at 80-year-old President Joe Biden proxy war with the Kremlin to talk about national security.

Noem was flattered to have the New York Times talking about her as a possible Trump 2024 running mate. “Tonight, Mr. President, my message is clear: It is an honor to have you with use in South Dakota,” Noem said at a rally in Rapid City. “You make America great again once. Let’s go it again,” Noem said. After watching a video screen reading “TRUMP NOEM 2024,” Trump said a few words. “Kristi is a warrior for American values,” Trump said. “If I get endorsements, some good, some bad,” Trump
Said. “Some don’t mean anything. Hers means a lot.” Noem told Fox News that she was honored to be considered for Vice President. “Everybody should consider it,” Noem said. “If President Trump is going to be back in the White House, I’d do all I can to help him be successful,” Noem said, serving notice that she’s ready to serve another Trump presidency, certainly as Vice President.

Why the New York Times tries to speculate about Trump’s running mate when he faces what the Times called serious charges is anyone’s guess. Trump told conservative radio talk show how Hugh Hewitt that he would not name a VP because voter only look at the top of the ticket. Noem would certainly ad buzz to Trump’s third shot as president since she’s considered a rising star in the Republican Party. Trump hasn’t been too big on the GOP knowing they left him dangling after the 2020 election. Current GOP candidates like former VP Mike Pence, former New Jersey Chris Christie and former U.S. Amb. Nikki Haley, all have been taken off Trump VP list. Trump might consider Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) or Internet entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, if, for no other reason, it’s a mutual admiration society. Surely Noem would be at the top of any short list of VP names for Trump.

New York Times likes to stir the pot when it comes to Trump, knowing readers like more than just defamatory stories about him. How many stories did the Times write about Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin? Now that the Times want to speculate about Trump’s running mate while denying him due process and the presumption of innocence by presenting only incriminating information about his four indictments, its more scandal. Trump has a better than 50% chance of getting off on all the charges, largely because the charges are inconsequential. When it comes to allegations about Biden’s overseas business deals with his son Hunter and brother Jim, things could be far more consequential. Whether Trump gets the GOP nomination or Noem gets offered VP is anyone’s guess. Judging by the New York Times, they only have him at Riker’s Island. Trump’s got a long way to go in the next six months.
