Awaiting 76-year-old former President Donald Trump’s arrest and arraignment at the New York City Criminal Courts building, the anti-Trump media covers the story like like a sporting event. Trump faces some 34 Class E felonies when he goes under oath in Judge Juan Merchan’s courtroom sometime today. Manhattan’s 49-year-old DA Alvin Bragg gets to charge Trump with 34 felonies today all connected with Trump’s Oct. 2016 payment to Stormy Daniels AKA Stephanie Clifford, buying her silence from going public with an alleged affair in 2006. So, when all the liberal media gets euphoric watching the former president charged like a common criminal in Mercha’s courtroom, it has nothing to do with his comportment as president. Bragg ran for Manhattan DA on the promise of going after Trump, when his predecessor Cyrus Vance Jr. declined to not charge Trump.

Whatever the legal case against Trump, watching the liberal press, personified by CNN, revel in Trump’s arrest and arraignment marks a new low for American democracy. As 80-year-old President Joe Biden takes the nation deeper into recession and a deadly Ukraine War, the liberal press only concerns itself with its vendetta with Trump. No one in the media focuses anything about what Trump did as president, including four years without a foreign war, leaving the economy in relative prosperity. Since Biden took over Jan. 20, 2021, the U.S. economy and foreign policy have been in freefall. Runaway inflation and stagnant growth have not been seen since the days of former President Jimmy Carter, now in hospice care in Plains, Georgia. No matter how dangerous the Ukraine War or the sputtering U.S. economy, the liberal media focuses only on Trump.

Awaiting Trump’s arrest and arraignment, the liberal media stops as the Ukraine War and economy continues to struggle with high energy prices and runaway inflation. Watching the Trump spectacle is a rude awakening of where the media’s at in 2023, no longer an honest broker of information, but a political entity advancing the agenda of the Democrat Party. Going after Trump for issues unrelated to his presidency shows how low Democrats stoop for political revenge. Upping Trump’s charges to Class E felonies, the lowest level that includes jail time, Bragg goes out on a limb, largely because in other cases financial crimes involve misdemeanors, carrying no jail time. When it comes to so-called hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, Bragg can’t use it to demonstrate a conspiracy because campaign finance violations are federal crimes, not subject to New York State prosecution.

Without getting into the weeds, Bragg upped ordinary financial crimes from misdemeanors to Class E felonies, only for Trump, showing extreme prejudice from the grand jury and DA. Surrendering for his arraignment, Trump becomes part of the criminal justice system, no longer part of civil litigation, something more familiar to him. Trump doesn’t get his day in court, to give his side of the story today, only forced to listen to 34 boiler plate charges related to allegations of business crimes. Not one host or analyst covering Trump’s arrangement mentions that the criminal charges have nothing to do with his presidency. All charges stem from before he was president, during the 2016 campaign. When stating the unprecedented nature of a former president charged with white collar crime, not mentioning once the alleged crimes have nothing to do with his presidency.

Reporting on the 15 floor of the New York Criminal Courthouse, CNN photographed Trump walking through the doors, before heading into Judge Merchan courtroom. CNN’s anchors and analysts commented about Trump demeanor in the photograph, showing him wedged between his counsel at the defense table. Commentators noted that he no longer had the appearance of arrogance and “braggadocio” seen normally in Trump. Trump looked, according to CNN’s analysts, like a criminal defendant. Instead of reporting on the historic events, CNN chose to play to their anti-Trump audience, exposing everything they despise about the former president. While in Merhan’s courtroom, Trump will hear all of the DA’s 34 Class E felony charges against him.

What’s historic about today’s arrest and arraignment of Trump is not the charges themselves but the broken U.S. media, obsessed with politics, subverting the Constitution’s presumption of innocence deeply embedded into the rule of law. Watching the liberal media present the events, there’s no mention of the presumption of innocence, only the mere criminal charges on the former president. No mention is made by liberal reporters that all charges are based on something unrelated to Trump’s presidency. Watching Biden prosecute his deadly-and-costly proxy war against the Kremlin or its effect on the U.S. and global economy, the liberal press only wants to broadcast its hatred of Trump. Whether Bragg’s charges stick or not, the media got its day to haze Trump. “Trump is totally out-f-control,” boasted a CNN legal analyst, boasting about his arraignment.
