Trump’s keynote speech Saturday night, March 4 at the Conservative Political Action Conference [CPAC] in Oxon, Maryland delivered a powerful rebuke of 80-year-old President Joe Biden, especially his war in Ukraine. “Before I even arrive at the Oval Office, I will have the disastrous war between Russia and Ukraine settled,” Trump told CPAC attendees. Trump said he “got along very well” with 70-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin. For Trump’s time in office, Democrats and the press ripped Trump for having an inappropriate relationship with Putin, accusing the former president of Russian collusion. Instead of lauding his unique ability to get along with U.S. adversaries, Democrats and the press fabricated claims about Trump backdoor dealings with the Kremlin. Democrats and press concocted so many stories about Trump’s ties to Russia, he couldn’t conduct U.S. foreign policy.

Letting Democrats and the press interfere with U.S. foreign policy shows how easily it can backfire with the wrong leader. Biden entered the White House with a Sen. John McCain (R-Az.)-like Cold War mentality, accusing Putin of lawlessness and preventing the U.S. from continuing decades of diplomacy with Moscow. Biden took office and promptly called Trump a “soulless killer,” March 18, 2021. If that weren’t bad enough, Biden’s foreign policy team, including 60-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken and 45-year-old National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan accused China at a summit in Anchorage, Alaska of genocide against Muslim Uyghurs in Western China. Biden took out all his Cold War fury out on Putin, joining Ukraine in a proxy war against the Kremlin. Trump recognizes Biden’s abysmal relations with Russia and China, promising to turn things around.

Trump was never given any support by the Democrat-controlled media, especially for his dealings with U.S. adversaries. Trump said if he were president Putin would have never invaded Ukraine. There’s no question at all that it would have never happened. Putin asked Biden for months before the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion to reconsider new security arrangement with Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Putin complained that Biden had been arming Ukraine to the teeth for months, fearing Ukrainian attacks on Russian-controlled territory in Donbas and the Crimean Peninsula. Putin invaded Crimea on Biden’s watch as Vice President under former President Barack Obama. Obama and Biden did nothing when Putin annexed Crimea March 1, 2014 to protect his Sevastopol navy base in response to a Feb. 22, 2014 coup that toppled the Kremlin-backed Kiev government of Viktor Yanukovych.

When it comes to Biden’s proxy war using Ukrainian troops against the Kremlin, Trump would have never engaged in warfare with the Russian Federation. What are Democrats and the press trying to do backing Biden’s war against the Kremlin? Biden and Ukraine’s 45-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky.claim that they’re defending European democracy. Biden and Zelensky know it’s NATO’s job to protect European democracy, not war-torn, bankrupt Ukraine. Yet if you ask Biden or Zelensky, they claim they’re defending European democracy. Zelensky has a border dispute with the Kremlin, agreeing to take cash-and-arms to fight the Russian Federation. Zelensky made the decision to take on the Kremlin, losing in the first year 25% of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, including its strategic ports. Zelesnky chose to go to war with Russia and lost Ukraine’s sovereign land.

Trump would end the war because he’d tell Zelensky on Day One the blank check is over. Biden has given Zelensky unlimited cash –and-arms to fight an open-ended proxy war with the Russian Federation. Every day lost, Ukraine loses more sovereign land and infrastructure. Zelensky claims that Ukraine has reclaimed a lot of lost sovereign territory from the Kremlin. Last time the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War [ISW] checked, Zelensky lost the entire Black Sea coast with all its ports. It would take years, if ever, for Kiev to recapture all the lost territory. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Miley said there is no military solution to the Ukraine War. Biden didn’t like hearing the truth that no matter how much the U.S. spends on Kiev, they keep losing to the Kremlin. Zelensky has been told to go to the peace table and settle his score with Putin.

Trump tells the truth when he says he end the Ukraine War before his first day in office. Biden and Zelensky have engage in a dangerous proxy war against the Kremlin, destabilizing the world economy, fueling the worst inflation in 40 years and upending world peace. Biden and Zelensky tread on thin ice thinking they’ll vanquish the Russian military and reclaim all the sovereign land lost in the last year of war. Second year of war promises more of the same, where Putin turns the conflict into a grinding war of attrition, much like Afghanistan and Chechnya. Zelensky’s only hope of getting back Ukraine’s sovereign territory is letting U.N. peacemakers try to hammer out a mutually beneficial settlement with the Kremlin. Whatever arms Zelensky gets from NATO and the U.S., Putin isn’t about to surrender to Biden or Zelensky. Going to the peace table offers the best way out.
