Washington and Kiev have pushed a phony narrative since the Feb. 24 start of the Ukraine War that Russia, only Russia, has sustained massive personnel and equipement casualties, leaving the Russian military scrambling to defend themselves against a power, well-oileed Ukrainian war machine. Ukraine’s 45-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky has given daily video briefings in army fatiques touting the heroic performance of his military, trouncing the Kremlin’s force at each encounter. After three days of fighing, Zelensky claimed he had defeated the Russian army, something he repeats daily together with 79-year-old President Joe Biden. But it turns out the opposite has happened with Ukraine losing up to 1,000 troops a day, more importantly, letting 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin swoop up vast parts of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, now controlling the entire Black Sea coastline.

Zelensky and Biden, with their British friends, have lied to the public, spewing the most twisted war propaganda, all with the fake narrative that Ukraine’s winning the war. Daily reports of Putin’s “terminal” illness, together with massive Russian losses in key parts of Ukraine, suggest that Kiev is routing the Russian Federation. Yet any report coming from the battlefield or on the ground in Ukraine tells the opposite story of Ukraine, not Russia, sustaining massive personnel and equipment losses, giving up 25% of Ukraine’s strategic costal territory, now land-locking Kiev, partitioning the country. Ukraine’s military has sustained more losses than the entire British infantry, over 18,000 troops. For the first time since the war began, some honest reporting has finally begun to expose horrific Ukrainian losses. Biden joined Zelensky’s fantasy that he could fight and win his war wit the Kremlin.

Jack Watling, senior research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute [RUSI] said that Ukraine’s casualties to date exceed the entire British infantry. Watling contradicted British Foreign Service announcements, talking about unsustainable Russian casualties. In a speech today at RUSI Land Warfare Conference, Watling confirmed that Ukraine continues to sustain losses at an intolerable rate. Watling’s statements run counter to official government reports that Russia, not Ukraine, sustains the biggest casualties. Watling admitted that reports from Kiev and Moscow have been equally hard to decipher, knowing that Ukraine loses some 1,000 troops a day, putting total casualties at about 1.2 million. Ukraine estimates Russian casualties at around 40,000, an unthinkable number but nothing close to Ukraine’s losses since the Feb. 24 beginning. Ukraine refuses to release actual casualty figures.

Former British MI6 agents Christopher Steele, knows more about his fake Steele Dossier for Hillary’s campaign, accusing Trump of close Kremlin ties, chimed in on the Ukraine War, talking about how Russian losses would eventually turn in Ukraine’s favor. Watling’s analysis of unsustainable Ukrainian losses runs counter to the Kiev and Washington narrative, that Ukraine is routing the Russian Federation. Watling admits that Ukraine has not released reliable information on its casualties, trying to push the narrative to Western allies that Ukraine is winning the war. Even the prestigious Washington-based think tank Institute for the Study of War, directed by former four-start Gen. Jack Keane, contributes to the fake narrative about Ukraine winning the war. Keane’s group produced the on-the-ground maps that show Ukraine losing 25% of its sovereign territory, all of its Black Sea coast.

Ukraine’s official death count was given at 1,000 a day by David Arakhamia, a senior member of Ukraine’s government, something not admitted to my Zelensky or his 40-year-old Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Since the war started Kuleba has touted Ukraine’s success, boasting about beating back the assault on Kiev in the first three days of war. But Ukraine’s narrative is not matched by massive losses on the ground to the Russian Federation, now in control of nearly all Donbas in Ukraine’s industrial south, including all of the strategic coastline. Arakhamia was the first Ukrainian official to say the current casualty rates are not sustainable, despite optimistic reports from Zelensky and Kuleba. If the EU cares about peace, they’ll push Biden and Zelensky to the peace table. Ukraine and the U.S. cannot not fight their way out of the current Ukraine War. Only peace talks can end this.

Instead of looking at the Ukraine War as a football game, Biden should survey the horrific damage to Ukraine, stop pretending that his strategy fighting a proxy war against the Russian Federation works. All signs point to complete failure, demanding that the White House and Kiev give up on their plans to vanquish the Russian military. Arakhamia, a high ranking Ukrainian official who spoke out-of-turn, told the truth that Ukraine cannot sustain the current battlefield losses much longer. Biden and Zelensky must pivot for their own survival, certainly Ukraine’s. Maybe the U.S. can continue throwing taxpayers cash down a rat hole to fund the Ukraine government and war. But every day that Zelensky keeps the war going is another day massive numbers of Ukrainian troops lose their lives, infrastructure destruction continues and the refugee crisis hits a critical mass.
