Just when 79-year-old President Joe Biden thought he was getting control of deadly novel coronavirus, a new variant named Omicron by the World Health Organization [WHO] emerged from South Africa, sweeping the country with a contagiousness worse than the Delta variant. Biden thought he could continue the zero-sum-game of getting more Americans vaccinated, now questioning whether current mRNA or andenovirus vaccines even work to prevent Omicron infections. With multiple mutations creating a menacing spike protein, the Omicron variant seems more contagious and potentially deadly that the India-originated Delta variant, now amounting to 99% of Covid-19 infections worldwide. Concerns that the old vaccines won’t make a dent in the Omicron variant prompted vaccine makers to say they’re working on new vaccines to deal with the Delta and Omicron variants.

Biden issued an order to stop incoming an outgoing flights from South African countries may be too late since a number of flights have already landed from South Africa in New York’s JFK and Los Angeles International airport [LAX]. Biden’s chief medical officer handling the Covid-19 response, 80-year-old Dr. Anthony Fauci, says the Center for Disease Control [CDC] is feverishly trying to determine whether or not the current mRNA and adenovirus vaccines work on Omicron. Calling Omicron “a variant of concern” [VOC], Fauci recognizes the threat the current vaccine regimen, now failing to stop what looks like another wave of Covid-19 infections. Fauci has been in the middle of the controversy regarding the origin of the virus, denying that he, through the National Institutes of Health [NIH] ever funded “gain-of-function” research that created the deadly novel cornavirus in a Wuhan, China lab.

Fauci’s had several screaming bouts with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), denying that he ever funded Shi Zhenli’s research on harmless bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology [WIV]. No matter what Fauci’s denials, the facts speak for themselves, that Fauci did indeed fund Zhengli’s bioweapons lab through his colleague, 56-year-old New York-based EcoHealth Alliance CEO zoologist Dr. Peter Daszak. Fauci funded Daszak’s nonprofit $15 million, at least $3.5 million went into bat coronavirus research, with $600,00 going directly to Zhengli’s lab. So when Fauci denies any involvement in funding research that created the deadly novel coronavirus, the evidence does not support his denials. Yet Fauci finds himself bailing water out a sinking boat when it comes to managing the deadly Covid-19 pandemic that has cost nearly 800,000 deaths in the U.S., 5,211,601 deaths worldwide.

Biden’s White House brain trust managing the deadly novel coronavirus with Fauci at the helm, talks about stopping incoming and outgoing flights from South African nations. Yet when it comes to flying domestically, passengers aren’t required to present proof of vaccination, a minimum requirement for going into a Jack-in-the-Box. Airlines continue to use useless disinfectants into planes but don’t have the common sense to require all passengers and crews to show proof of vaccinations. Whatever restrictions the White House plans for Monday, Nov. 29, it applies for incoming and outgoing South African flights, not domestic U.S. flights. “There’s no evidence that it is here but I would be surprised if it doesn’t ultimately land here,” Fauci said. Fauci urges all vaccinated U.S. residents to receive booster shots, even though the boosters do not address the Delta variant or the new Omicron one.

South African scientists say it could be weeks before they know whether or not current vaccines are effective against the Omicron variant. “It is conceivable that it is joust a very transmissible virus that might not have a major impact on the seriousness of infection,” Fauci said, not knowing what to expect. South African countries and other parts of the developing world in East or North Africa, South America or parts of Asia have low vaccine rates. Only 7 billion out of the world ‘s 11 billion population have been vaccinated, leaving the deadly novel coronavirus, and its variants, to run wild. “This is the worst fear coming true,” aid Lily Caprani, head of advocacy for Health and pandemic response at UNICEF. Whatever happens with Omicron, the U.S. government must insist on vaccinations for all airline passengers and personnel. No airline passenger should breath re-circulated air without proof of vaccines

Scientists can’t say yet whether the old mRNA and adenovirus [J&J vaccine] vaccines can stop the new highly contagious Omicron variant. Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech are months away from developing a new vaccine that deal with the Delta and now Omicron variants. So when it comes to prevention, it’s going to take much more efforts that telling the public to wear masks and socially distant. Most parts of the U.S. aren’t practicing safe pandemic practices, other that parts of the West and East coast. WHO officials insist that rich countries like the U.S. and EU must provide enough vaccines for developing countries in Africa, South America, Asia and the Mideast. White House officials need to do more than cancel flights from South African countries to stop the Omicron variant from ravaging the U.S. Biden must insist that domestic airlines follow the same rules as Jack-in-the-Box.
