When 65-year-old U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson sentenced 67-year-old Washington gadfly Roger Stone Feb. 20 to 40 months in federal prison it was already under a big controversy since DOJ prosecutors led by Aaron Zelinsky wanted nine years. Zelinsky and three other prosecutors cried foul, resigning Feb. 12 from the case after 69-year-old Atty. Gen. William Barr stepped in to try to mete out some fairness. Democrats screamed foul, calling for Barr’s impeachment, prompting denunciations by 80-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and 73-year-old House Judiciary Chairman Jerold Nadler (D-N.Y.). Both said Barr’s interference in normal DOJ procedure proved Barr did the bidding of 74-year-old President Donald Trump, who wanted Stone’s case tossed out. Pelosi and Nadler were furious that Stone would receive a reduced sentence for his alleged crimes.

Stone was convicted Nov. 15, 2019 in Berman-Jackson’s court on seven counts for obstructing a Congressional investigation and lying to federal investigators. Stone clammed up when asked about his alleged contacts in the 2016 presidential election with WikiLeak’s Founder Julian Assange before releasing reportedly Russian-hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee [DNC] and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham’s Clinton’s campaign Chairman John D. Podesta. Stone denied knowing anything about the WikiLeaks dump despite email exchanges with conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi about Julian Assange and WikilLeaks. Zelinsky, who worked for Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigating Trump’s alleged ties to Moscow, was furious that Barr would reduce Stone’s sentence from nine years to 40 months. Zelinsky went before Nadler’s committee June 24.

Zelinsky told Nadler that he received word from DOJ’s upper brass that he must reduce Stone’s sentence or face possible termination. He preached to Nadler’s choir, blaming Barr for inappropriate meddling in the rule of law. But what Zelinsky didn’t say was far more important than what he did say. Zelinsky said nothing that the entire counterintelligence investigation against Trump and his campaign became began in 2016 when the late Sen. John McCain handed former FBI Director James Comey Hillary’s paid campaign opposition research against Trump AKA “The Steele Dossier,” knowing the contents were Russian disinformation and total fabrication. That didn’t bother McCain or Comey, who, among others at the FBI, wanted to prevent Trump from becoming president. Zelinsky mentions nothing about the FBI’s illegal counterintelligence investigation into Trump’s campaign.

Stone was a peripheral, inconsequential part in a monstrous covert plot by former President Barack Obama’s White House to help Hillary get elected. Tying Trump to the Kremlin was Hillary’s calculated campaign strategy, not because it was true but because she was desperate to beat Trump Nov. 8, 2016. Zelinsky knew that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation was tainted from Day One because it was predicated on Hillary’s fake dossier. Looking to convict a patsy like Stone showed how desperate the Mueller’s team of 17 largely Democrat prosecutors was to get any convictions, spending 22-moths and $40 million for nothing. Mueller knew from Day Once that the entire investigation was predicated on Hillary’s bogus opposition research and he should have stopped the scam. Zelinsky was insulted by Barr’s intervention because it exposes the Russian hoax.

Working hard behind the scenes to uncover the illegal FBI origin of the counterintelligence investigation and Mueller probe, Barr and U.S. Atty. John Durham don’t have a lot of time left to indict former Obama White House officials for their illegal spying on the 2016 Trump campaign. For Pelosi, Nadler and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) all they can do know before Barr announces his indictments is to discredit Trump and Barr. All major news outlets, broadcast and print, backed endless anonymous-sourced reports and stories, insisting Trump conspired with Moscow. When Mueller completed his Final Report March 23, 2019 clearing Trump or his campaign of Russian involvement, Democrats and the press went wild, looking for anything impeachable in the Report and anywhere else, eventually finding a “whistleblower” to scream impeachment.

Stone’s is supposed to surrender July 14 to be shipped off Sept. 3 to a Georgia federal prison “IT’S TIME TO #PardonRogerStone,” Trump tweeted Saturday, that, whatever the consequences, he intends to pardon Stone. Let there be no mistake, Trump will pardon Stone not because he’s a friend but because the entire Russian hoax, starting with Comey and ending with Muller’s Final Report was a national disgrace. For Trump pardoning Stone is like pardoning himself of the disgraceful indignity of having the Obama White House investigate him to sabotage his 2016 campaign to get Hillary elected president. Like Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn who had his case dismissed by D.C. Second Court of Appeals June 25, both their cases were built off the Russian hoax. “No, Roger was a victim of a corrupt and illegal Witch Hunt, one which will go down as the greatest political crime in history. He can sleep well at nigh!” Trump tweeted.
