Repeating a fake story that 71-year-old President Donald Trump is considering firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the mainstream press takes its instructions from Democratic operatives like Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). Serving as co-chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff’s been pushing the idea that Trump wants to fire Mueller, despite zero evidence. Repeated in mainstream news outlets, there’s no substance to the story other than the president’s May 9 firing of former FBI Director James Comey. Democratic partisans like Schiff want the public to believe the president engaged in obstruction of justice to prevent Comey from finding the Trump campaign’s ties to Moscow. Schiff knows there’s zero proof that Trump colluded with the Russians a year-and-a-half after the investigation began in June 2016. News outlets publish the reports to denounce the president.

Today’s news at mainstream broadcast and print outlets is heavily influenced by Democratiic operatives placing stories to discredit the White House. While they call the efforts “resistance,” it’s actually political infiltration into broadcast and print newsrooms. Democrats, led by former Secretary of State and Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton, blamed Comey for wrecking the campaign. Hillary blamed Comey repeatedly in her 2016 election memoir, “What Happened,” insisting the campaign fizzled after Comey reopened the email investigation 10 days before the Nov. 8, 2017 election. But once Deputy Atty. Gen. Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller to investigate Trump, Democrats act like the FBI can do no wrong. Schiff keeps the mainstream press busy printing Trump’s nefarious plans to get rid of Mueller to once again obstruct an investigation into Russian collusion.

Trump has said publicly he has no plans to fire Mueller but the mainstream press still publishes front-page stories that the president is trying to get rid of him. ”Twenty-two former U.S. attorneys from 18 states and Puerto Rico wrote a letter to Trump on Friday in which the said they were ‘gratified’ to have heard these recent statements about the Mueller investigation,” wrote the HuffPost. If the HuffPost and other fake news outlets didn’t publish concocted stories, U.S. attorneys wouldn’t be writing superfluous letters. Since Trump built his 2016 campaign on exposing the “fake media,” the press has been out to get him ever since. Harvard University’s Schorenstein Center confirmed May 17 that 93% of CNN’s coverage on Trump was negative. News organizations often cite Trump’s criticism of the “fake media” as proof of his authoritarian attack on the First Amendment.

Giving the U.S. press the role of protecting the Free Amendment doesn’t involve letting the Democratic Party infiltrate major broadcast and print outlets. Internet outlets like the HuffPost take undue license to cross the line between propaganda and news. Publishing its headline story about Trump considering firing Mueller illustrates how devious the news business has become. Recent stories about Trump’s “mental health” reported in the mainstream press also show how Democratic operative infiltrate even groups of professionals. Yale University’s Dr. Bandy X Lee shows how Democratic operatives infiltrate professional groups, hoping to remove Trump under the 25th Amendment. When news organizations and professional groups are hijacked by political operatives there’s little the public can trust. New organizations today routinely violate their rights under the First Amendment.

No credentialed news organization is entitled under the First Amendment to use its print space or air-waves to spread pernicious propaganda. Talking about Trump’s mental health influences public opinion but has no professional credibility. Psychiatrists, like Dr. Lee, are a disgrace to their field, using professional credentials for political purposes. When CBS “Nightly News anchor Dan Rather was fired in 2004 for reporting a fake transcript of former President George W. Bush’s service in the Texas Air National Guard, it exposed corruption. Former Democratic candidate John Kerry’s political campaign hijacked CBS News. Today’s infiltration is commonplace, prompting Trump to use Twitter to inform the American public of such shenanigans. News stories are routinely planted by political operatives identified as “anonymous sources.” Mueller’s imminent firing could not be more “fake news.”

Today’s voracious news-consuming public should call out credentialed news organizations to stop spewing pernicious propaganda. Unless there’s some check-and-balance to today’s “fake news,” the public doesn’t know whom to believe. Interviewed on MSNB yesterday, Rather pretends he doesn’t know why he was fired by CBS President Les Moonves in 2004. With the Rather standard, all mainstream print and broadcast news directors should be fired for letting Democratic operatives infiltrate newsrooms. Instead of the mainstream press being at war with Trump, they should stick to responsible journalism, including reporting positive developments in the economy and foreign affairs. As long as the press remains over 90% negative on Trump, they deserve all the push-back by the White House. Time has come for news to get back to ethical journalism.
