Hoping Special Counsel Robert Mueller provided Democrats impeachable offenses in his final report to Atty. Gen. William Barr, Democrats and their friends in the press were disappointed that Mueller pursued no further indictments. When Mueller’s chief prosecutor Andrew Weissmann announced he’d leave the team March 16, it signaled Mueller’s final report was imminent. Released yesterday to Barr, the Mueller report isn’t what Democrats hoped for, producing no high-crimes-and-misdemeanors for impeaching Trump. You’d think that all Americans would breath easier knowing that 72-year-old President Donald Trump, his daughter Invanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner, sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump were not under indictment. But no, Democrats and the liberal press expressed deep disappointment that the president and his inner circle would face no additional indictments.
CNN’s Harvard-educated legal editor Jeffrey Toobin admitted reluctantly to Anderson Cooper March 22 that Mueller’s report ends the speculation about more indictments of Trump’s inner circle. Toobin played along for almost two years wildly speculating about every leak, every rumor, every bit of gossip implicating the president and his inner circle in what looked like criminal conduct. Toobin heard an earful from his retired Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz to take a more impartial approach to joining CNN’s anti-Trump pundits. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews could barely contain himself, expressing outrage that Mueller didn’t prosecute Trump and his inner circle for what he concluded was an open-and-shut case of collusion and obstruction of justice. Toobin understood clearly what it meant when Mueller’s final report said, without any details, that there would be no further prosecutions.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow couldn’t contain her disappointment, getting House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), one of Trump biggest detractors on Capitol Hill, to insist that his committee would not accept Mueller’s findings as final, pursuing his own investigations. Before Mueller’s final report, Democrats and the press touted Mueller’s work on Russian meddling and alleged Trump collusion as definitive, whatever he finds. Now that Mueller’s report promises to only provide details on ongoing prosecutions, giving nothing on others he chose to not prosecute, Democrats and the press want more. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said today that a summary from Barr would be “insufficient,” seeking all of Mueller’s deliberations on cases he chose to prosecute and not prosecute. Democrats can’t fathom the fact that Trump was essentially acquitted.
When Mueller’s office announced no further indictments, it left Democrats and the press aghast, knowing that Trump would not face collusion and obstruction of justice charges. When Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey May 9, 2017, the Democrat and press narrative was that the president obstructed justice. Deputy Atty. Gen. Rod Rosentein issued a three-page letter May 10, 2017 detailing the reasons behind Comey’s firing. One week later, Rosentein appointed Mueller Special Counsel to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election and alleged Trump collusion with the Kremlin. When disgraced FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe called Trump a Russian agent Feb. 14, it hinted at what would come. McCabe was busy promoting his new book, “The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump. McCabe’s book covered up his role in a FBI conspiracy.
Mueller’s report takes away the firewall from Comey, McCabe, Lisa Page, Peter Strzok and others at the FBI actively involved in a conspiracy to prevent Trump from becoming president. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, promised he will get to the bottom of what happened at the Justice Department and FBI during the 2016 election. Comey had the green light from former President Barack Obama, former Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch and former National Security Adviser [NSA] Susan Rice to use the national security apparatus to wiretap Trump campaign officials to help Hillary win the election. Trump’s been slammed recently for criticizing the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for giving former Secretary of State Hillary’s Rodham Clinton’s paid opposition research AKA ‘the dossier” to Comey in the 2016 campaign. McCain worked covertly to help Hillary get elected.
Mueller’s report no longer provides cover to Obama’s Justice Department, FBI and National Security Agency {NSA] for working covertly to sabotage Trump’s campaign. Graham wants to know the FBI’s role in using the “dossier” to get warrants from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] Court to wiretap Trump campaign officials. Graham also wants to know all the players at Obama’s Justice Department, FBI and NSA that worked covertly with Hillary to sabotage Trump’s campaign. Whatever details appear in Muller’s report, it’s not likely to shed any light on the conspiracy inside the FBI, Justice Department and NSA to sabotage Trump’s campaign. When Barr delivers the summary of the Mueller report to Congress, it will say nothing about whom he refused to prosecute. Pelosi, Congressional Democrats and the press want more but the Mueller report can only give the facts.
