Fixating on former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, the media has found another clever way to discredit the president. Whether it’s hyping Bannon’s ties to the Alt-Right or to President Donald Trump, it’s clear the media exploits Bannon since Trump fired him Aug. 19, 2017, because he was so power hungry he couldn’t contain himself from exploiting the press. Bannon’s ego couldn’t say no to any media attention, becoming a headline when he was supposed to work behind the scenes. Since fired by Trump, Bannon’s worked 24/7 to stay relevant, despite the fact he had limited access to Trump and even less influence. Tying Bannon to the Alt-Right helped the media peg Trump as a racist, especially after the Aug. 14, 2017 Charlottesville brawl between White Supremacists and radical leftist groups called Antifa. Trump realized that Bannon made him look bad.
With a new book out calling Trump’s first year one of chaos, Bannon continue to seek headlines, when he’s only relevant to the liberal media, finding any way to discredit the president. “Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency,” said Trump, telling the press that it’s more fake news. “When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented ever assembled tin the Republican Party,” Trump said. Trump’s remarks were designed to highlight that Bannon was never m his inner circle or yielded much influence, contrary to the anti-Trump news media. Hyping Bannon was the media’s way to tying Trump to the Alt-Right, something Bannon once said Breitbart News, Bannon’s past and current job, was a platform for the Alt-Right.
Tying Trump to Bannon was the media’s surest way to prove that Trump as white nationalist or, more to the point, a racist. “Now that he’s on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn’t as easy as I make it look,” said Trump, telling the media that Bannon played a minor role in his campaign and White House.. Bannon ascended in the press only because he discredits Trump. “Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of our country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than 30 years by Republicans. Steve doesn’t represent my base—he’s only in for himself,” said Trump, slapping the media for desperately conflating Bannon and Trump. When Trump says Bannon isn’t supported by his base, he’s not kidding, with Bannon only seeking headlines for himself.
Trump figured out over the summer that Bannon was leaking fake stories to the press, too benighted to see that Bannon took the media for a ride. Giving Bannon exaggerated importance, the media did everything possible to discredit the president. When Bannon left the White House for Breitbart News last August, he had zero credibility but only to the left wing media exploiting him for fake insights into Trump and the White House. “Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important that he was,” said Trump, giving the facts about Bannon. Bannon was a publicity-hungry opportunist who exaggerated his relationship with Trump to exploit the media. Left wing media outlets, like CNN, once again, engaged in fake news.
Bannon’s new online book with Michael Wolfe exaggerates his close ties and influence on Trump. Bannon said Trump had knowledge of the infamous meeting between Don Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Valerie Veselnitskaya, calling the meeting “treasonous.” Ratting out Trump in his tabloid book show’s Bannon’s vindictiveness for loosing his White House job. “Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad s— [expletive deleted], I happen to think it was all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately,” said Bannon. Showing zero loyality to his former boss, Bannon shows why he has no credibility. “They’re going to crack Don Jr. like an egg on national TV,” Bannon said in book excerpts. A dream for the anti-Trump media, Lashing out at Trump in the most despicable way possible, Bannon showed why Trump fired him Aug. 19, 2017.
Embraced by the liberal press to discredit Trump as much as possible, Bannon has nothing left other than fabricating his ties with Trump. “This book is filled with false and misleading accounts from individuals who have no access or influence with the White House,” said White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Once fired by Trump, Bannon’s been on rampage retaliating against his former boss. He’s got a built-in audience with the liberal press looking any former or current Trump staffer to disparage the president. Bannon was once Trump’s most hated adviser, until the press figured out how to exploit him to advance the anti-press agenda. Now that he’s lashing out at Trump, Bannon gets as much press coverage as he wants. With zero credibility driven by by vindictiveness and his oversized ego, Bannon works overtime to promote his new tabloid book.
