LOS ANGELES (OC).–President Donald Trump sent Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Islamabad to meet Iranian foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi for another round of peace talks in Islamabad. Trump walked away from the last talks saying Iran was not serious about ending the eight-week old war. When Araghchi returned to Tehran Saturday, Trump said he would not send Vice President J.D. Vance or the U.S. delegation. But once Aragchi returned to Islambad today, Trump decided to send Witkoff and Kusher to see whether the Iranian position had changed. Iran’s mullah government wanted Trump to pay the government war reparations and recognize the sovereighty of Iran over the Strait of Hormuz. On both counts, Trump said Iran couldn’t possibly be serious expecting reparation and to control the Strait of Hormuz, both unacceptable conditions for peace.’
Trump said today that Iran has a new peace proposal that just might work to end the eight-week old war, not on hiatus since April 8, putting the war on hiatus for the indefinite future. Trump wanted Iran to deal with the U.S. blockade of all Iranian ports, leaving Iran’s revenue streams all but closed. Iran claims it’s lost 3,375 civilians in the war with Lebanon lost 2,496 people, something Iran wants to stop. Iran wants a lasting peace proposal tthat Trump would sign saying the U.S. or Israel would no longer attack the mullah government. Judging by all the loses of senior personnel in the Iranian government, Aragchi wants to make a deal before he’s on the target list. Trump wants Iran turnover control of the Hormuz Strait to the international community, so iran can never again blockade the narrow strait carrying 20% of the world’s oil and natural gas.
Keeping Vice President J.D. Vance stateside speaks volumers of how much confidence Trump has in Witkoff and Kushner, both turning into consummate diplomats after careers in commercial real estate. But when you think about it, Trump wrote the “Art of the deal” in 1987 talking about the many deals that made him a billionaire and king of New York commercial real estate. Democrats and fake new are quick to point out Trump past bankruptcies his Trump casino in Atlantic City. But Trump’s real estate holdings in hotels and golf course domestically and round the world have made his net worth over $5 billion. So, no matter how much Democrats wants to discredit Trump, he’s the real deal, the epitome of the American success story. Yet if you listen to Democrats and fake news Trump is a failure at everything he does, despite the endless propaganda.
Trump doesn’t hesitate to get tough in negotiations the ame he’s done for his lifelong real estate career.”We have all the cards. IF they want to talk, they can come to u s, or they can call us,” Trump said before Aragchi suddenly returned to Islamabad after a brieF viisIt to the Kremlin. Russian President Vladimir Putn has a vested interest in keeping the mullah regime in power, if, for no other reason, to buy Shahed drones helping him win the Ukraine War. Trump has all but given up on Ukraine’s 48-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky, who rejected Trump’s very realistic peace plan calling on Ukraine to cede land Donbas to Russia. Trump knows what Putin wants as his minimum requirements for peace. Wikoff in particular has developed a strong relationship with Putin, regardless of how Zelensky has rejected any Trum,p peace deal.
Trump wants to end the war as bad as Iran, largely because it’s hammering down his approval ratings, not at a low point for his presidency at 40.5%, with many polls in the 30s. Watching pump prices rise around the country, Trump knows he’s not delivering on campaign promises to have a low inflation, robust economy. While it’s true Wall Street has set new records recently, it’s also true that the average citizens have been stretched to the breaking point with high gas prices. Ending the war and opening up the Hormuz Strait would be the fastest way to drop pump prices causing a bump in Trump’s polls. Democrats and fake news want Trump’s economy to fail, all because they want to take the House back in the Midterm elections. When Trump’s economy succeeds, it helps all Americans struggling to make ends meet with current high pump prices.
Trump said that Iran has offered a new proposal, potential one that could work to end the Iran War. “”They gave a paper that could have been better, and interestingly, immediately when I cancelled it, within 0 minutes were got a new paper that was much better,” Trump said. So just like that, things can change, something that’s bound to benefit stock futures for tomorrow’s trading session. Wall Street wants certainty, not the indefinite nature of the Iran War. Reporters ask Trump daily when the war will end. He tells them routinely his eight-week war is a lot shorter that the Afghan or Iraq War, or other past U.S. wars. Democrats and fake news claim that Trump violated the War Powers Resolution that requires president to go to Congress to declare war. But Trump didn’t declare war on Iran, he’s advancing U.S. foreign policy and national security under Article 2.
