LOS ANGELES (oc).–President Donald Trump and Environmental Protection Agency Secretary Lee Zeldin announced today a roll back of Obama and Biden-era regulations under the 2009  Clean Air Act that established “endangerment” findings regarding carbon dioxide or green house gas emissions some scientists say contribute to climate change or global warming. Trump and his fossil fuel advocates don’t buy the fundamental conclusion of pro-left environmentalists tying tailpipe emissions with climate change or global warming.  Trump has no problem with the EPA continuing to make the internal combustion engine less polluting but disagrees with Obama and Biden EPA policies that concluded that tailpipe emissions contribute to climate change and global warming.  Obama and Biden pushed automakers to follow Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors in producing more electric vehicles.

How ironic that when Musk headed up the Department of Government Efficiency [DOGE] Democrats and the fake news called for a boycott of his zero-tailpipe emission electric vehicles.  Do Democrats and the fake news only support EVs when it’s convenient to them or when it matches their political agenda?  Must was the first with Tesla Motors to create the EV revolution around the U.S. and the world.  Yet when Musk was identifying waste, fraud and mismanagement in government programs, he was the enemy of the Democrat Party and fake news.  Trump said the regulation roll back was “the single largest deregulatory action in American history, by far,” with Zeldin saying the “endangerment finding “The Holy Grail of the federal regulatory overreach.  Democrats and the fake news push the Obama and Biden era environmental regulations.

All the pro-left news organizations back the premise that tailpipe emissions causes climate change and global warming.  Trump represents a diametric opposing point-of-view, saying the endgangerment finding “had no basis in fact, had none whatsoever, and it had no basis in law,” Trump said. “One the contrary, over the generations, fossil fuels have saved millions of lives and lifted billions of people out of poverty all over the world,: Tump said, refuting the prevailing scientific findings that carbon dioxide or green house gases cause climate change and global warming.  Environmentalists studying climate change and global warming attribute it to tailpipe emissions from cars, truck, get planes and other forms of industrial pollution.  Climate expertsl like UCLA law professor Ann Carlson insists that Trump’s deregulation “raise more havoc”  in environmental circles.

Like others in the academic world, they have an ax to grind pushing a left-wing agenda, whatever the actual science.  Trump and Zeldin claim that the “endangerment provision” has added trillions to the cost of doing business in the U.S. “ Zeldin said overregulation “led to trillions of dollar in regulations that strangled entire sectors of the United States economy, including the American auto industry.  Every time there’s a weather event in the U.S. or around the globe, environmentalists attribute it to carbon dioxide or greenhouse gas pollution.”The Obama and Biden administrations used it to steamroll into existence a left wing wish list of costly climate policies, electric vehicle mandates and other requirements that assaulted consers choice and affordability,” Zeldin said.  Climate change hysteria, led by former Vice President Al Gore, has brainwashed the public.

Calling Trump’s plans “reckless,:” former EPA administrator Gina McCarthy railed at Trump’s plans to deregulate café standards for the auto industry, bring costs down, making gas-powered cars more affordable.  Climate expert athte the Natural Resources Defense Council David Doniger        said Trump was making his “kill shot” on climate regulations.  Doniger is all in on the science that indicates that tailpipe emissions cause the current climate crisis.  Trump and other skeptics doubt whether today’s weather patteres are attributable to green house gasses but part of the earth’s natural climate cycle. Trump ordered the EPA to prepare a report that discusses the legality of the “endangerment” finding, ruling much the Obama and Biden’s climate policy.  Trump wants a report on the “legality and continuing applicability” of the “endangerment” provision.

Unlike the environmental zealots, Trump wants to unlock burdensome regulations on the U.S. economy.  He finds nothing credible in any scientific reports blaming climate change or global warming on tailpipe or carbon emissions.  Whether it’s good for the environment or not, Trump sees fossil fuels as the necessary evil, better for the environment than the ravages of wind and solar energy, something so  inefficient it takes massive land and water use to generate a fraction of the energy than fossil fuels Relaxing café standards on the amount of miles per gallon on the auto industry should reduce overall costs and lead to savings for ordinary consumers.  Trump doesn’t oppose the EV car industry, he just thinks for the ordinary citizen they make little sense in terms of affordability.  Electricity to fuel EVs comes largely from gas, coal or nuclear fired power plants, all with their own problems.
