LOS ANGELES (oc).–Grandson of President John F. Kennedy, 33-year-old Jack Schollosberg, said on X that Presdent Donald Trump was trying to steal the name of the Kennedy Performing Arts Center. “Trump can take the Kennedy Center for himself,” “He can change the name, shot the doors, and demolish the building. He can try to kill JFK,” Schlossberg said, sounding overly emotional. Trump has a right as president to allocate funds to remodel any government structure that falls under his purview, the Smithsonian-run Kennedy Center is among. JFK’s family objected to Trump putting his name on the Center that isn’t expected to stay once the remodel has ben complete. Therer’s no attempt by Trump to kill the legacy of JFK, only to enhance the existing structure. Trump made clear he wants to update the Kennedy Center, making it the premier entertainment venues in the country.
Schlossberg looks to grandstand before running for a seat in New York’s 12th District, showing his Democrat constituents that he isn’t afraid to take on Trump. :”But JFK is kept alive by use no riing up to remove Donald Trump, bring him to justice, and restore the freedoms generations fought for,” Schlossberg said, not sure what he referred to. Schloosberg know that Trump wants to invest generously in reburbish the dated Kennedy Center from Sept. 8, 1971 when the center opned over sixty-years-ago. ”I have determined that the Trump Kennedy Center, if temporally closed for Construction, Revitalization, and Complte Rebuilding, can be, without question, the finest performing Arts Facility of its kin, anywhere in the World,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network. Why Trump put his name on the Kennedy Center is anyone’s guess
When you think about it, there’s no reason at all for Trump to have his name on the Kennedy Center venue, where it faces a major remodel. Trump said the remodel corresponded to the 250th anniversary of the country, with the Center not closing until after July 4, 2026, “This important decision, basee on imput from many Highly Respected Esperts, will tak tire, broke and dilapidated Cener, one that has been in bad condition, both financially and structurally for many years, and turn it into a World Class Bastion of Arts, Music and Entertainment, far better than it has ever been before,” Trump wrote on his social network. Why Shchossberg said Trump is trying to kill the JFK legacy is anyone’s guess. Schloosberg likes making headlines before his House race, pushing the narrative with other Democrats that Trump needs to be removed from office.
Trump has many big ideas when it comes to promoting American exceptionalism, including buiding and Arc de Triomphe structure in Washington, far bigger than the one in Paris. When it comes to the Kennedy Center, Trump-the-builder of skyscrapers wants to lend his life-long passion to enhancing the United States.. Schlossberg thinks because he’s related to JFF, as other in the Kennedy family, that he has the final say on what hppens to the Kennedy Center. Trump had every right to replace the Kennedy Center Board with his own members who agree with his agaenda. Claiming that Trump silenced the votes of other Kennedy Center Board members, Schlossberg thinks Trump must be removed from office. Well, that’s exactly what his Manhattan constituents believe should be done. That’s why so much is riding on the Midterm elections, to impeach and remove Trump from office.
Whatever Democrtas complaints about Trump, remodeling the Kennedy Center is just another attempt to show Trump doesn’t respect the rule of law. Schlossberg thinks that anything done to the Kennedy Center should be approved by Congress, since its was created by Congress in 1963, the year JFK was assassination. But let there me no miskake, Schloosberg’s grandstanding directly relates to his run for his Manhattan congressional seat. Trump only wants to make the Kennedy Center more spectacular that ever, refurbishing it after years of neglect. Trump has no play of keeping his name on the Kennedy Center once the new-improved version eventually opens op. Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio), who was on the Kennedy Center Board, said he opinions and voters were ignored. Beatty wants everyone to know she was disrespected once Trump took over the board.
Playing politics with the Kennedy Center, Schlossberg wins points with the New York Democrat party, but, more importantly, with his Manhattan constituents looking for any reason to take a shot at Trump. Trump-the-builder wants to leave his mark on the White House and other monuments in need of a facelift. Trump as president is all about showmanship, trying to create maxium effect with his public decisions. Reburbishing the Kennedy Center was bound to take flack from the Kennedy clan looking to take a shot at Trump. But as far as Trump is concerned, he;s doing nothing other that preserving the name of JFK ins the best way possible, no settling for a second-rate property. Schlossberg would be better off staying in his lane needed to win his lection in November. When it comes to Trump, he has too much on his plate to worry about Democrat politics.
