LOS ANGELES (OC).–Riots broke out in the streets of Minneapolis after the Jan. 7 shooting death of Rene Good at the hands of Immigration, Customs and Enforcement [ICE] Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, resisting federal efforts to police illegal immigration in the Somali community connected to massive fraud in the Medicare and Medicaid health systems. Walz ended his bid to run for an unprecedented third term Jan. 5, largely due to the fact he’s under investigation for presiding over the biggest Medicare and Medicaid fraud in U.S. history. Now Walz and Frey play politics resisting ICE efforts to bring perpetrators to justice, dealing with an extensive ring of Somali criminals living in the Minneapolis area. Walz and Frey told Trump to pull his ICE agents out of the Twin Cities because they’re not welcome, an egregious violation of federalism.
Walz and Frey understand the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution, requiring states, since the Civil War, to defer to the federal government in terms to laws and enforcement actions. Yet Walz and Frey repeat the same fake Democrat talking points that Trump plays dictator, doesn’t respect democracy, the rule of law or the Constitution. But who are the law breakers violating the Supremacy Clause or the Somali community that perpetrated the biggest Medicare and Medicaid fraud in U.S. history? What’s Trump suppose to do, ignore the abuse of government services? Trump told Minnesota officials that if the resistance and rioting on Minnesota streets doesn’t stop soon, he would involve the 1806 Insurrection Act, designed, after Revolutionary War, to maintain the integrity of the federal establishment. Minnesota officials violate the Supremacy Clause.
Protests and riots started in Minneapolis after Rene Good was shot Jan 7 by an ICE agent for allegedly weaponizing her car when her car was surrounded by law enforcement. Guod tried to get away, gunned her vehicle and tried to escape potential arrest. Walz and Frey insist ICE agents engaged in criminal behavior, forcing Good to do what was needed to escape the scene. “He feels like that has been part of the plan of creating this surge so that he could have his authoritariism be fully carried out,” said Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn,), a member of the Somali community. “He’s a wannabe dictator who ‘s trying to claw as much powe as he can. An I think, a lot of this, this chaos, this brutality, this confusion, is really to wer down the American public so that he can tear them down,” Omar said, encouraging the Somali community to rise up to defend itself.
Omar’s denunciation comes right out of the Democrat and fake news playbook, accusing Trump of dictatorship, when, in fact, he’s trying to enforce immigration laws, but, more importantly, massive fraud on the government by the Somali community. “The irony of it is that they came to terrorize the Somali community, but it is our Latino neighbors that are being terrorized,” Omar said, inciting more rioting. If Omar keeps up her antics, she could push Trump to invoke the Insrrection Act, not done since April 9, 1992 when President George H.W. Bush invoked the Act to deal with street riots in Los Angeles from the Rodney King trial verdict. Several other U.S. presidents including Lyndon Johnson and John F. Kennedy, also invoked the Insurrection Act to deal with unrest during their time. Democrats and the fake news push their phony narrative that Trump is a fascist.
Trump’s approach to enforcing the immigration laws involves deploying ICE to various communities that flaunt immigration laws, or, in the Somali’s case, actually engaged in widespread abuse of government entitlement programs. How much Walz and Omar knew the billions in Medicare and Medicaid fraud is anyone’s guess. What known for sure is the abuse took place, whether it was with a small fraction of Somali criminals or not. Trump’s immigration policies especially in historically Latino communities have been a disaster in Los Angeles and the Southwest. Whatever one thinks of the open border, it’s not generations of illegal aliens’ fault that they never obtained legal status. Latino communities lived, worked and paid taxes for generations. When it comes to Somalis in Minnesota, the government has an obligation to stop the fraud.
Minnesota officials led by Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have openly defied the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, giving Trump the right and obligation under to enforce federal laws. Whether there are mishaps or not in ICE policing to enforce immigration laws, that doesn’t rule out Trump deploying ICE to cities to enforce immigration laws, or, in Minneapolis, massive fraud in the Somali community. Omar can scream racism all she wants, she certainly has Democrats and the fake news behind her, it doesn’t erase the egregious fraud by certain Somalis with Medicare and Medicaid. No one likes the federal government enforcing difficult immigration laws but it’s Trump’s obligation to enforce federal laws. When it comes to mishaps in policing, it happens occasionally all around the country, not just with ICE agents.
