LOS ANGELES.–Fake News slammed President-elect Donald Trump, 78, for saying that ending the Ukraine War could take longer than the 24 hours he promised during the campaign, something so ironic, so hypocritical it can’t pass unnoticed.  Trump made clear he was opposed to the Ukraine War from the beginning, stating that it only destroyed Ukraine and led to the loss of some 25% of Ukraine’s sovereign territory.  But now that Trump gets sworn in Jan. 20, the fake news says Trump already broke a campaign promise because he wants more time to end the conflict.  Well, the fake news backed 60-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris who said she would continue the Biden policy of funding proxy war for the indefinite future until Russia left every inch of Russian territory.  Instead of praising Trump’s objective to end the war on humanitarian grounds, the fake news faults Trump.

Lt. Gen Keith Kellogg, tapped as Special Envoy to Ukraine, now says it will take time to end the three-year-old conflict, largely because Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky still wants to the collect the billions in U.S. government largess to pay for his bankrupt Kiev government and war against the Kremlin.  Zelensky has told U.S. and EU elected officials that he needs to continue the war effort unabated to negotiate a better settlement from the Russian Federation.  Zelensky and 82-year-old President Joe Biden once assured U.S. and EU lawmakers that they would vanquish the Russian Federation, eliminating a clear-and-present danger to the European Continent.  Biden and Zelensky said 74-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin had his eyes set on other EU countries.  Kellog says ending the Ukraine War is part of Trump first 100 days agenda.

Under a Kamala administration there would be no end to the Ukraine War, no matter how much damage the continued war causes to Ukraine.  Kamala was fully prepared to go along with Zelensky delusional promise to defeat the Russian Federation, driving Russia off Ukrainians soil. “Let’s get it a 100 days and move all the way back and figure a way we can do this in a the near-term, to make sure that the solution is solid, it’s substantial, and that this war ends so that we stop the carnage,” Kellogg said.  Trump could get the war to end much sooner but it involves a mini-summit with Putin and agreement to freeze the conflict at the current lines and agree that Ukraine will not join NATO.  Biden promised Ukraine eventual NATO membership, thinking that somehow that would solve his problems.  But NATO realized that it doesn’t want to fight Ukraine’s battle with the Kremlin.

Unlike the fake news that rubber stamped Biden’s failed Ukraine War strategy, Trump wants the war to end, hoping that with his relationship with Putin could get an agreement fairly quickly after he takes office.  White House officials rejected Trump’s peace plans because they would force Ukraine to surrender more territory to Russia.  But Biden never understood that Zelensky made a choice after the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion, that he could have settled the conflict with Putin but decided, with Biden’s backing, to go to war with the Kremlin.  Zelensky could resist Trump’s plan to cede territory to Russia and end Ukraine’s bid for NATO membership.  So, in the worst case scenario, it would take Trump cutting Zelensky off from U.S. war funding before he agrees to enter into peace talks.  Zelensky would be chased out of Kiev if he admits he lost the war.

Trump hasn’t reneged on anything with respect to the Ukraine War, only letting Kellogg talk about realistic expectations given the war has raged for nearly three years.  All estimates of Russian war casualties of around 600,000, dead and injured, are pure speculation, designed to discourage Russia from continuing the conflict.  Ukraine’s casualty estimates are grossly minimized to show Zelensky making progress on ousting Russia from Ukrainian territory.  Zelensky knows the rules of war, gambling with Ukraine’s sovereign territory.  So, when it comes to an equitable settlement, there’s nothing that says Russia must give back any of the sovereign territory seized during the conflict.  Zelensky must admit to Ukraine that he’s lost the war and surrendered some 25% of Ukraine’s prime sovereign territory to Russia.  Ukrainians won’t like hearing the truth.
