LOS ANGELES.–Picking 59-year-old former Florida Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi to replace former
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.) as attorney general was a brilliant move by 78-year-old former President Donald Trump, showing his personnel choice are consistent with putting the best-and-brightest into his Cabinet. Bondi got national fame for defending Trump at his first impeachment trial, a political witch hunt by 84-year-old Trump-enemy, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). Pelosi filed charges against Trump Dec. 18, 2019, an egregious attempt to wreck his reelection chances in 2020. Imagine Pelosi got obedient House Democrats to impeach Trump for an innocuous conversation with Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky for asking him to research Biden family involvement in Ukraine. Imagine that, Biden had corrupt dealings in Ukraine.
For Pelosi it was all about stopping Trump anyway possible for getting reelected, something that actually worked but not because of Trump’s two impeachments. When you look back on Pelosi’s first impeachment it was beyond outrageous, certainly not in keeping with high-crimes-and-misdemeanors. How is asking Zelensky for information on the Biden’s involvement in Ukraine an impeachable offense? Bondi went to bat for Trump in his impeachment trial ending in Senate acquittal Feb. 5, 2020. Bondi was one of Trump lead defense attorneys, arguing that Trump has a perfectly legitimate conversation with Zelensky. Once that happened, Pelosi waited until after the Jan. 6, Capitol riots to charge Trump Jan. 13, 2021 with a second impeachment for “incitement of insurrection.” Bondi did not defend Trump at his second Senate acquittal Feb. 13, 2021.
How ironic that Bondi saw firsthand the egregious witch hunts in the Democrat-controlled House, then watched it move to the Justice Department, FBI, CIA, NSA, all using federal agencies for political prosecution. When you think of Bondi’s role defending Trump in the first impeachment, she saw firsthand extrajudicial prosecutions by House Democrats. Once the impeachment trials finished and Trump was out of office, Pelosi opened up the Jan. 6 House Select Committee to manufacture evidence against Trump that he planned and orchestrated the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection. When the Jan. 6 House Committee finished its work July 21, 2021, they transmitted their findings to Special Counsel Jack Smith. Smith moved to charge Trump with obstruction of Congress and retaining classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate, both cases now effectively moot.
Bondi served as Atty. Gen. under Florida Gov. Rick Scott [2011 to 2019], dealing with various issues like legalization of marijuana and same-sex marriage. Bondi is the chair of the Center for Litigation at the American First Policy Institute, a MAGA group working on Trump’s transition. Bondi still works as a partner for the lobbying firm Ballard Partners, the same firm as Trump’s incoming Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) will chair the Senate Judiciary Committee promising a quick confirmation hearing for Bondi. “Picking Pam Bondi for Attorney General is a grand slam, touchdown, hole in one, ace, hat trick, slam dunk, Olympic gold medal pick,” Graham said on X, promising quick confirmation because she deserves it. High praise also came from Sen. Eric Schmidt (R-Mo.) “Congrats to my friend @PamBondi, she’ll make an incredible Attorney General. Great Choice,” Schmidt wrote on X, echoing Graham’s sentiments.
Bondi was criticized by Democrats for daring to question the 2020 election results in Pennsylvania, despite the fact that no one can account for why so many people voted in the 2020 presidential election. President Joe Biden, 82, thinks he was so popular in 2020 that he won seven million more votes that Trump [81,283,501 to 74,233,975]. Why were there so many more million votes in 2020 than 2016 and 2014? Democrats and the press can’t answer that, hasty to say there’s no proof of fraud. But with universal mail-in ballots sent everywhere without verifying voters’ signatures, how can you be certain there wasn’t fraud? Bondi’s first order of business at the Department of Justice is to find out who investigated and prosecuted 78-year-old President Donald Trump for being an alleged Russian asset. Bondi must find out who authorized Trump’s investigation.
Democrats and the media think it’s their right to prosecute anyone with fake evidence due to politics. In the 2016 campaign, 54-year-old former FBI agent Peter Strzok and 45-year-old former FBI Atty. Lisa Page exchanged thousands of emails and text pledging to prevent Trump from becoming president while concealing their love affair. Former FBI Director James Comey, 63, got his orders to investigate Trump from someone. Who was it and how far did go up the chain in the Obama White House? Bondi will be in position to get those answer when she takes over the Justice Department. Whether Bondi as Florida’s AG opposed Obamacare or same sex marriage is something that can’t be used against her a her confirmation hearing. Senators want to know if she can objectively administer the rule of law under the Constitution, something that Merrick Garland didn’t do.
