LOS ANGELES.–Pushing the Kremlin into a war footing, NATO announced the movement of more strategic weapons to Europe, giving 71-year-old President Vladimir Putin no choice but to counter the aggressive move to defend Russian national security. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg put Putin on notice that the U.S. would move more surface-to-air missiles, Standard Missile-6, Tomahawk Cruise Missiles and hypersonic missiles to Germany to confront a growing Russian threat. President Joe Biden, 81, who faces call for him to step down from his 2024 reelection race, continues to push the Russian Federation to WW III, with NATO confirming that it would beef up its missile arsenal in Geramny. Department of Defense [DOD] officials say the missiles would have “significantly longer range that current land-based fires in Europe,” stoking more war tensions.

Instead of deescalating tensions at the 75th anniversary Washington, D.C. NATO summit, Stoltenberg chose to flex muscles serving notice to Putin to look out because NATO plans to escalate its defensive and offensive capability. How’s that suppose to work with the Ukraine War in its third year, with Biden and Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky refusing to settle the conflict on the peace table? Biden and Zelensky have many excuses for keeping the war going, blaming Putin for an imperial land grab in Ukraine. Putin wanted to discuss a new security architecture for Ukraine for months before he moved the Russian army into Ukraine in what he called a “special military operation” designed to neutralize the presence of U.S. and NATO weapons flooding into Ukraine. NATO justifies its move fearing Russian expansion.

Biden and Zelensky whip up fears of Russian expansion to Poland and the Baltic States, despite Putin stating clearly he has no intent of expanding military involvement beyond Ukraine. When it comes to Ukraine, Putin had his military protecting Russian speaking provinces in Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea, all mirroring populations that want to no part of the pro-Western Kiev government. Conflict broke out in the region Feb . 22, 2014 when the so-called pro-Western Maiden Revoluion toppled the duly elected, Kremlin-backed Kiev government of Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych was chased out of Kiev by a CIA-backed coup, forcing Putin to annex Crimea March 1, 2014, when he finished hosting the Sochi Winter Olympics. U.S. and NATO officials want to ignore the history, demonizing Putin as a brutal Soviet-style dictator seeking to reinstate the old Soviet Union.

Biden and Zelensky’s narrative about Putin doesn’t match any of his public remarks, only recently saying he would favor a truce in Ukraine but not on Zelensky’s terms. Zelensky wants Putin charged with war crimes and prosecuted at The Hague’s International Criminal Court, then pay Ukraine war reparations. When it comes to NATO, Stoltenberg only threaten the Kremlin by moving more strategic weapons into Poland, Germany and Romania. “Exercising these advanced capabilities will demonstrate the United States commitment to NATO and its contributions to European integrated deterrence,” said a joint White House-German communiqué. Biden continues to threaten Putin with more NATO actions near the Russian border, weakening conditions for ending the Ukraine conflict. Biden and Zelensky clearly want to keep the war going.

Putting Russia on a war footing has ended decades of diplomacy, détente and arms control, leaving Russia no choice but to dig in more into Ukraine, not find a way out. Biden, with his known cognitive problems, had difficulty with communication with U.S. adversaries, putting Russia on a war footing. Members of NATO needs to see the damage Biden and Zelensky has done to European democracy, threatening the Kremlin with more strategic weapons. However many billions the U.S. pours into hypersonic or any other long-range missiles, it only makes the situation more tense, potentially leading to an unexpected altercation or expansion of the war. Biden showed he can’t talk to U.S. adversaries, instead hides behind NATO, making more threats to the Kremlin. Putin wants a neutral peace partner to resolve the current war in Ukraine.

U.S. and NATO have only made the situation in Ukraine worse by threatening Russia deploying more long-range missiles or new missile defense systems in Europe. Putin has Chinese President Xi Jinping agreeing that Biden continues to provoke the current Ukraine conflict and fan the flames of war in the Indo-Pacific region. Putin and Xi wants NATO to come to its senses, stop encroaching in Eastern Europe and the Pacific Rim. Biden’s plan to create a NATO-like force in the Indo-Pacific inflames tensions with Beijing, only leading to more potential conflict over Taiwan. Biden already committed U.S. troops in 2022 to defending Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion. Deploying more strategic missiles to Germany, Poland and Romania only push the European theater to the breaking point, forcing Putin into more “special military operations.”
