LOS ANGELES.–President Joe Biden, 81, shows that his White House is a hindrance to ending the Ukraine War, continuing to make the old, failed argument that it’s all Russia’s fault. Since the war began Feb. 24, 2022, Biden never accepted responsibility for pushing the war to a full-scale invasion, refusing to discuss with 71-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin new security arrangements for Ukraine. Biden said after the invasion that the war was “unprovoked and unjustified,” meaning they were no antecedents that led to the war. How about Biden arming Ukraine to the teeth to help Ukraine claw back its sovereign territory occupied by Russia? Biden was Vice President under former President Barack Obama when he ordered the CIA to back the Maiden Revolution Feb. 22, 2014 where pro-Western factions toppled the Kremlin-backed Kiev government of Viktor Yanukovych. Putin annexed Crime March 1, 2014 to protect his Black Sea naval base in Sevastopol, Crimea.

Biden’s foreign policy has trashed decades of diplomacy, détente and arms control with the Russian Federation. There was no reason that he could not have sat down with Putin and worked out new security arrangements with Ukraine, including that Kiev would drop its attempt to join NATO. But no, Biden decided to join Ukraine’s War with the Kremlin, supplying cash-and-arms to fund proxy war with Moscow. Biden caused the Russian Federation to be a mortal enemy with the United States, no longer a cooperative partner, working on arms control and other issues to make the world a safer place. Instead of funding proxy war, Biden should work feverishly, if he were able, to work toward a ceasefire and peace talks, even if it means Ukraine gives up some territory to the Kremlin. Russian occupied Ukraine since at least 1920 when it formed the Soviet Union.

Ukraine was an integral and interrelated part of the Soviet Union, not an independent country for over 100 years. Generations of Russian governments invested heavily in Ukraine to develop industry, science and culture, creating a seamless connection with Ukraine over the last hundred years. So, when Ukraine marshals U.S. and NATO forces to battle the Kremlin, it’s inconceivable to Putin because of the long history with Ukraine, dating back to before the formation of the Soviet Union. “We’re concerned that Prime Minister Orban would choose to take this trip to Moscow, which will neither advance the cause of peace, nor will in promote Ukrainian sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence,” said an unnamed White House official, rejecting Orban’s peace mission.

White House officials take the exact wrong attitude to bring about a truce, ceasefire and eventual peace talks to end the war. Biden has shown, beyond any doubt, that he lacks the cognitive capacity to engage in the necessary diplomacy to reach any compromise in Ukraine. Former President Donald Trump, 78, said he will end the war with Ukraine in the first 24 hours of winning the presidency, making the point that if there’s a will, there’s a way to get things done. Biden and Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky operate under a delusion that they can defeat the Russian Federation. After two-and-a-half years of war, Biden and Zelensky have destroyed Ukraine infrastructure, killed thousands of Ukrainians, driven millions into exile and bankrupted the Ukrainian economy. Zelensky relies on U.S. government largess to pay for his bankrupt government and war.

Ranting about 61-year old President Viktor Orban visiting Putin is an outrage by the White House that does nothing other than fuel more war with the Kremlin. Biden and Zelensky have been told by their generals that there is only a political solution in Ukraine but continue to supply Kiev all the cash and lethal weapons to fight the Kremlin. Orban, who’s the rotating chairman of the European Council, has every right to advance the cause of peace on the European Continent. Orban doesn’t want to see the Ukraine War morph into WW III or nuclear war in Europe. “Look, at the end of the day, we believe that Russia could end this war today by ceasing its aggression against Ukraine,” said the White House, refusing to accept Biden’s role in fueling the conflict. More cash and weapons to Ukraine only mean the war rages on unabated into the indefinite future.

Orban’s visit to Moscow was an effort to keep the doors of diplomacy open with Putin to eventually find a workable solution to the Ukraine War. Biden has shown he lacks the diplomatic skills need to open up dialogue and eventually find a workable solution. So, now the U.S. is left with a choice in November between a disabled president incapable of diplomacy and a former President Donald Trump with a track record of diplomacy leading to a peaceful and prosperous world. It didn’t take long for the warmonger Biden to back a war against the Kremlin, once thought unthinkable but clearly pushing the European Continent toward WW III and nuclear war. Every U.S. and EU elected official should back Orban’s efforts to keep the dialogue going for the purpose of ending the war and promoting world peace. War is not the answer to solving Ukraine’s problems with Russia.
