LOS ANGELES.–Democrat strategist James Carville, 79, once known as former 77-year-old President Bill Clinton’s chief spin doctor, says that independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hurts 77-year-old GOP nominee former President Donald Trump. Known for his deceptive talk with the press, Carville has a vested interest in protecting 81-year-old President Joe Biden, currently running slightly behind Trump in recent polls. But when Carville says RFK Jr.’s candidacy hurts Trump more than Biden, he’s blowing pure smoke. RFK Jr. represents the Kennedy’s rich history in the Democrat Party, certainly having little to do in Republican circles. So, when it comes to whom RFK Jr. pulls away votes, it’s certainly with Democrats more than Republicans. RFK Jr. is right in-synch with traditional Democrats cause, including the plight of immigrants and minorities.
Carville wants to neutralize the damaging effect of RFK Jr.’s independent run on Biden, knowing that Biden has become the most pro-Black and Gay president in recent history. “I actually think Bobby Kennedy might hurt Trump more that he hurts Biden,” Carville told MSNBC’s Ari Melber, one of the cable’s most anti-Trump hosts. Democrats accused RFK Jr. of playing spoiler to Biden, with most Democrats, including Kennedy’s own family, opposing his run for the White House. RFK Jr. turned 70 Jan. 17, spending his entire career as an environmental lawyer battling the fossil fuel industry and, more recently, Big Pharma which pushes potentially harmful vaccines. Most mainstream circles brand RFK Jr. as an anti-vaxxer, someone opposed to vaccines, even when they stop the spread of dreaded diseases like Mumps,Measles and Ruebella [German measles].
RFK Jr. has been targeted by Carville and other Democrat strategists for opposing vaccines, even though some medical experts think vaccines can cause autism and other neurobehavioral conditions. Diphtheria, Pertusis and tetanus [DTaP] vaccines have caused serious injuries, resulting in vaccine makers funding Vaccine Court in Washington to resolve and injury claims. RFK Jr. said he hasn’t opposed recent MRNA Covid-19 vaccines, something touted by vaccine makers and the government as relatively safe compared to the original effects of Covid-19 infections that killed over 1.1 million Americans in 2020-2022. Whatever RFK Jr.’s politics, Carville says he followers take more votes from Trump than to do with Biden. Carville’s analysis is entirely self-serving, knowing he seeks by whatever means to get Biden reelected for a second term.
RFK Jr. picked March 26 38-year-old Silicon Valley Atty. Nicole Shanahan has his running mate, saying she’s a fighter for health and environmental causes. RFK Jr. didn’t say how Shanahan made her fortune, getting a generous billion dollar-plus divorce settlement from Google co-founder Sergey Brin. RFK Jr. had many qualified people to pick from but decided to pick Shanahan, touting her fitness as an avid surfer. “Our campaign is a spoiler all right,” RFK Jr. said. “ It’s is a spoiler for the war machine. It is a spoiler for Wall Street, Big-Ag., Big Tech, and Big Pharma, the corporate media, and all of the corrupt politicians and corporations,” RFK said, aligning himself with 90-year-old former Peace and Freedom presidential candidate Ralph Nader. Nader, of course, was accused of playing spoiler in several elections, but especially Bush v. Gore in 2000, handing the White House to Bush.
RFK Jr. and Trump are on the same page when it comes to the Ukraine War. Trump says he’ll end the war in 24-hours, serving notice to Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelenky that he’d pull U.S. funding. Trump sees no end in sight, with the war serving many destructive purposes, including draining the U.S. Treasury and adding to budget deficits and the national debt. Shanahan said March 26 in Oakland that RFK Jr. is the only candidate that would end the Ukraine War. Don’t think Nicole has been following Trump’s campaign too closely. Only Biden promises to keep funding the Ukraine War indefinitely, telling voters if reelected he’d keep the war going with the Kremlin. Biden doesn’t explain how he intends to restart frozen U.S.-Russian nuclear talks, now that he funds proxy war against the Kremlin. Trump says the war ends with his Nov. 5 election.
Carville showed he’s just as trustworthy as he was as a younger man running Clinton’s 1002 campaign, 25-years ago. “Now what worries me is Cornell West and Jill Stein because they’re going to get some ‘F-it all” vote too,” Carville said. West and Stein, between the two of them, account for no more than two percent of Democrat votes. Before RFK Jr. picked Shanahan, he might have garnered some 15% of the Democrat vote but know could drop to 10%. Whatever Carville says, it’s usually the opposite of reality. Cornell West and Jill Stein have little popular appeal, catering to the Democrat Party’s socialist base, far left of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). if that’s possible. Biden’s biggest hurdle is overcoming Democrat, Republican and independent opposition to Biden seeking a second term at age 82. There’s no excuse for the Democrat Party running someone so old and feeble.
