LOS ANGELES.–Vice President Kamala Harris, 59, left no doubt that she’s ready to step in either take over as president or run for president in 2024 due to new evidence that 81-year-old President Joe Biden suffers from dementia. Special Counsel Robert Ur, 51, created a maelstrom of controversy releasing cold, hard, objective facts about Biden’s two-day interview with the Speical Counsel over his retention of classified documents at three separate locations from his work as U.S. Senator and Vice President under former President Barack Obama. Ur revealed in his report that Joe didn’t recall when he served as Vice President or when his son Beau died. Joe felt so compelled to respond to the objective facts in Ur’s report that called a hasty press conference Feb. 8 prompting him to attack CNN’s reporter CJ Lamb for asking anything about Ur’s 388-page report.
On national TV, the public was treated to watching Joe’s contorted face, express his rage at Lee for asking simple question about Ur’s report. Voters saw for themselves the signs of dementia as Joe overreacted to Lee’s simple question about Ur’s report. Since Joe’s unhinged reaction, the White House has been in full-on damage control, making a litany of excuses and discrediting Ur’s report as political. But voters have spoken loudly in the polls [79%], Democrats, Republicans and independents, that Joe is not fit to serve four more years in the White House. Ur’s report gave corroboration to what the White House has been covering up for years, that Joe suffers from dementia. Former U.S. Atty. Preet Bharara said statements in Ur’s report about Joe’s memory and cognitive functioning were “gratuitous and superfluous,” revealing Preet as a Democrat political hack.
All the talk of Joe’s disability has prompted Vice President Kamala Harris to step up and say she’s ready to take over at any time. “I am ready to serve. There no question about that,” Harris told the Wall Street Journal [WSJ]. Harris told WSJ that anyone who sees her on the job “walks away fully aware of my capacity to lead,” the first half Black and East Indian to serve as Vice President. Harris wants the public to know that she’s next in line should Joe decide it’s not in his or the public’s best interest to continue as president or run in 2024. Harris responded initially by defending Joe, saying Ur’s report about Joe’s fuzzy thinking and memory were all politically motivated. Harris knows, like everyone else at the White House, that no one’s making things up about Joe’s dementia. Ur’s reports simply shares what happened during his two-day interview with the Special Counsel.
Harris walks a tightrope knowing how she’d antagonize First Lady Jill Biden and Joe’s sister Valerie Owens, both of whom are running the White House with Joe’s disability. But the public has a right to know the condition of the president as it relates to carrying out his presidential duties. All the White House damage control doesn’t change what happened Feb. 8 when Joe lashed out on national TV at CNN’s CJ Lee for asking a question about his memory arising from Special Counsel Ur’s report. Viewers watched an agitated president unload on Lee for doing her job, raising more questions about Joe’s fitness for duty. Kamala wanted the Wall Street Journal to know she’s ready to step in at anytime, but, more importantly, to telegraph to would be presidential candidates like former First Lady Michelle Obama or Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom that she’s first in line for president.
Kamala wants to let Biden’s rivals know that she’s ready to be president, despite her 36% approval ratings, actually lower that Joe’s 39%. So, when the White House talks about Kamala, she’s pretty much ignored because she’s not well liked by anyone. Kamala has accused Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom of running a shadow campaign, appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show to debate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Kamala thinks that she perfectly suited to step in as Joe’s logical replacement because she’s his Vice President. Unlike Newsom, she’s a women of color putting her squarely in the forefront of Democrat politics. Yet Kamala’s approval ratings tell a different story, something that would put the Democrat Party behind the Eight Ball if Biden were to step aside. Whatever her approval ratings, Kamala wants other White House wannabes to know she’s ready to lead.
Special Counsel Robert Ur’s 388-page report gives an unexpected X-ray into the mental fitness of President Joe Biden. Ur has no ax to grind only to get out the facts related to why he decided to not charge Joe with similar crimes charged to 77-year-old former President Donald Trump. White House officials have mounted a furious damage control campaign to continue the cover-up of Joe’s dementia as described by Ur’s report. Vice President Kamala Harris walks fine line between supporting Biden, at the same time, letting the public knows she’s ready to be president or run when called on. Kamala can’t have it both ways defending Joe’s fitness for office then telling the WSJ that she’s ready to lead, knowing today’s controversy over Joe’s mental fitness for office. Instead of attacking Special Counsel Ur for his report, the White House should be grateful for his honesty.
