Closing ranks behind 80-year-old President Joe Biden, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) claims former President Donald Trump is behind Republicans looking into possible impeachment inquiry into Biden for his family’s overseas business dealings. Jeffries wants the Democrat-friendly press to run with his rubbish that Trump calls the shots in the Republican-controlled House where Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) amd Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) investigate Biden’s involvement with Hunter and Jim Biden’s overseas business deals. Jeffries has learned his propaganda well-from his Democrat colleagues, blaming everything but the kitchen sink on Trump. Democrats successfully blamed Trump in 2020 for the Covid-19 pandemic and George Floyd’s Minneapolis police death. Both events contributed to Trump’s 2020 loss to Biden.
When it comes to Joe Biden’s ties to his family’s overseas business dealings, Jordan and Comer have plenty of evidence on the link, something Jeffries desperately tries to pin on Trump. “They have nothing to show for their majority through the years,” Jeffries told Democrat-run CNN. “And so, as a natural consequence of that, they just continue to take orders from Donald Trump, their puppet master-in-chief, who has directed them to persecute and to go after Joe Biden, which may take the form of an illegitimate impeachment inquiry,” said Jeffries. Jeffries was one of the lead impeachment managers going after former President Donald Trump, accusing him of planning and orchestrating the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riots, even when the House Jan. 6 House Select Committee couldn’t provide the proof. Jeffries finds anything Trump does objectionable.
Jeffries was one of House Democrat anti-Trump crowd that complained during Trump’s four years about low inflation, steady GDP growth and a U.S. foreign policy free of foreign wars. Jeffries has touted Biden’s great successes creating hyperinflation, slow growth and war with the Russian Federation. Telling the press that Trump is the GOP’s “puppet master” plays well in the anti-Trump press and with the African American community that still paints Trump as a White Supremacist. Biden, who’s white as Trump, gets excused because he advances the Black Agenda, including demanding slavery reparations and police reform. If Jeffries’ honest, he knows that plenty of Republicans despise Trump, with organized, active groups working to sabotage his 2024 campaign. Listening to former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie you’d think Trump was the Devil himself.
Jeffries and Christie have different motives but both agree on their hatred of Donald Trump. Jeffries and Christie believe Trump is guilty as charged without any due process, all because highly biased, partisan prosecutors have concocted charges against him raging from bookkeeping errors to harboring worthless old classified docs in moving boxes. Jeffries worries that an impeachment inquiry could harm Biden’s chances of a second term. Jeffries knows all about the recent AP-NORC polls that shows 77% of voters think Biden is too old to run for a second term. Democrats could easily plug in 55-year-old Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom as Biden’s replacement, something that irks 58-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris. Jeffries would, of course, like to see Kamala run for president even if it costs Democrats the White House. Kamala has historically low approval ratings as Vice President.
Jeffries must promote the idea that Trump controls the Republican Party, when, in fact, many in the party despise Trump. Republicans like former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) think Trump cannot win a general election against Biden. But Ryan doesn’t really know voter preferences in 2024. It’s doubtful that Democrats can use the same arguments about Covid-19 or George Floyd’s death to sink Trump’s campaign. Trump can make a good case the country was better off during his presidency than Biden. Democrats and the press minimize the damage done to ordinary consumers from hyperinflation, started when Biden imposed a Russian oil embargo shortly after the Feb. 24, 2022 start to the Ukraine War. Biden hasn’t leveled with the U.S. public about how his proxy war against the Russian Federation f fuels inflation, making it more difficult for consumers to spend hard-earned cash.
Jeffries wants the public to believe that Trump manipulates the country for his own selfish ends, including going after Biden for his overseas business dealings, camouflaged by using fake names and bank accounts. Jeffries is the first to say that Jordan and Comer have nothing on Biden because they don’t know his private bank account into which Huter was funneling millions of dollars. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said he’s seen plenty of evidence to open up an impeachment inquiry on Biden’s foreign business dealings, something he claimed he knew nothing about. “So, if you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy said, prompting Jeffries to blame in impeachment inquiry on Trump. Jeffries knows that Biden’s smokescreen can last forever.
