Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), 59, chairman of the House Ethics Committee, requested documents from the Department of Justice related to the Aug. 8, 2022 FBI raid on 77-year-old former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.. Trump was indicted June 9 by 54-year-old Special Counsel Jack Smith for removing classified docs from the White House after leaving office Jan. 20, 2021. Jordan wants to know the nature of the docs removed from Mar-a-Lago and how they relate to Smith’s 37-count indictment. So far, DOJ has refused to release documents citing the ongoing criminal investigation. Jordan wants the documents before he interviews former Special Counsel John Durham (R-Conn.) to discuss his 300-page report on the origin of Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI’s counterintelligence probe led by 62-year-old former FBI Director James Comey into Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin.
Democrats and the press fear Jordan’s interview with Durham, exposing what Durham called irregularities in the FBI’s policies-and-procedures to investigate Trump. Comey relied on former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s paid opposition research AKA the Steele dossier, discredited as a compendium of fabrications by 58-year-old former British MI6 agent Christopher Stele. Comey denied that he only used the Steele dossier as probable cause to investigate Trump but never produced any other sources to justify the probe. Jordan wants to establish that the same corrupt DOJ now indicts Trump on so-called classified docs stored in boxes at his Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago estate. Smith told the press June 9 announcing his 37-count indictment that Trump threatened U.S. national security. How ironic that worthless old docs threaten U.S. national security.
Special Counsel Smith wants no part of the undeniable corruption at the Department of Justice and the FBI. Whey should Trump—or anyone for that matter—trust Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland when he has an ax to grind against the Republican Party for denying him his appointment by former President Barack Obama to the U.S. Supreme Court. Former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) blocked Garland’s approval hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee. So, when it comes to Trump, the most hated man in liberal circles, there’s nothing the Democrat-controlled Congress would not do to retaliate the former president. Trump’s presidency was an attempt to blow up the status quo, or, as Trump likes to call it, drain the swamp, something so filled with Democrat-leaning bureaucrats, they exploit government agencies to retaliate against Republicans.
What is Smith thinking telling the drive-by media that Trump threatens U.S. national security? Surely Smith knows that 80-year-old President Joe Biden threatens peace and security around the planet backing a multibillion dollar proxy war against the Russian Federation. Telling the public that worthless old classified docs in boxes at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate threaten U.S. national security shows, for all to see, Smith’s extreme Democrat bias against Trump. What national security is Smith talking about? He must be talking about the security of deep state government agencies to protect their fiefdoms. Surely, Smith knows that Trump keep the country safe for his four years in office, keeping the world at peace and U.S. economy strong. Now look at how Biden upended world peace and the world economy.
Jordan wants Smith to turn over all documents related to the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation of Trump, and, more recently, the government’s files found at Mar0-a-Lago that allegedly threaten national security. Watching the U.S. press declare Trump guilty of all the DOJ’s charges shows extreme prejudice against the former president. Democrats and the press deny Trump due process, the presumption of innocence, showing the kind or rush-to-judgment seen in third world countries. What’s the U.S. trying do denying Trump due process for such serious charges? Democrats and the press can’t control their euphoria over Trump’s indictment. Where’s the objectivity and political neutrality in the U.S. press? First Amendment used to mean something for the land of the brave and home of the free. Watching Democrats and the press denounce Trump shows undeniable media bias.
Denying Jordan the requested documents on the 37-count Mar-a-Lago indictment shows that the DOJ has much to hide in its latest witch-hunt against Trump. Deputy Atty. Gen. Carlos Uriarte, 50, says he can’t release any documents related to Smith’s probe of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago classified docs because it would compromise and ongoing investigation. Uriarte won’t give Jordan any docs used against Trump because it would expose widespread corruption at the DOJ. “Judgments about whether and how to pursue a matter are, and must remain, the exclusive responsibility of the Department,” Uriarte said, giving Jordan the typical party line. Smith’s 37-count indictment involves the fraudulent claim that boxed classified docs threatens U.S. national security. Only Biden threatens U.S. national security with his reckless proxy war against the Kremlin and threats against Communist China.
