Writing a front page story about how age isn’t a factor in the 2024 presidential Race, the New York Times has all but endorsed 80-year-old President Joe Biden for reelection. Touting his legislative record, the Times ignores Biden’s abysmal track record on the economy and foreign policy. Pages of verbiage talk about how Democrats are resolved to giving Biden four more years. Yet not one mention of the disastrous Ukraine War, no mention of Biden’s Sept. 23, 2022 promise to send U.S. troops if necessary to defend Taiwan. No intellectual honesty from the Times that seems to back Biden’s warmongering. Recent comments by 77-year-old Brazilian President Luis Ignasio Lula da Silva talk about Biden’s warmongering completely ignored, watching a slow motion train wreck in Ukraine. No mention of French President Emmanuel Macron refusing to follow the U.S. lead.
All the years of the Times slamming 76-year-old President Donald Trump’s foreign policy for cozying up to dictators has now been replaced by Biden’s war mongering, ending the United States moral high ground on the global stage. Trump had no inflation and no foreign wars during his presidency, something you’d think any reasonable person would appreciate. No, to the Times, they’d rather see the country in WW III, even nuclear war, that acknowledge that Trump kept American prosperous and peaceful for his time in office. So now the Democrat Party and press ignore the biggest issue of 2024, and it’s not abortion or immigration. If the Ukraine War goes on much more, it could spread to the European Continent, dragging the European Union [EU] into WW III. Biden decided unilaterally that he would fund a proxy war against the Kremlin using Ukrainian soldiers.
Where’s the coverage of the most deadly war in Europe since WW II? Why are Democrat control broadcast and print outlets consumers with abortion and LGBTQ rights, not whether civilization as we know will exist in the future. “We need stability,” said Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.). “Biden provides that,” not admitting that Biden maintains a war-like status quo. When Bowman talks of “stability,” he’s referring to Biden’s progressive agenda dictated by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-N.Y.). Progressive ignore completely the billions of U.S. tax dollars going to fund Kiev’s bankrupt government as war with the Russian Federation. Democrat National Committee member Maria Cardona says there’s no one else but Biden in the 2024 race. Democrats complain that he might be too old,” Cardona said. “But then, when they’re asked, ‘Well, who?’ there is no one else.”
Biden’s Executive Branch, with thousands of employees, have not intent of surrendering power, whatever his age or disability. He could be brain-dead and Democrats and the media would still support his next four years. Whoever runs the White House, including Biden’s agenda, they’re content to pull the strings regardless of the adverse consequences to the country. What do Democrat think is going to happen when Biden pours billions into Ukriane, claiming he’s fighting to European democracy? No one at the EU believes that the Ukraine War is about preserving European democracy. EU members know that NATO, not Ukraine, is mandated to protect EU democracy from the Russia Federation or any other hostile power. Yet Biden’s and Ukraine’s 45 year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky tell Congress and the EU parliament that Ukraine protects EU democracy.
Democrats and their friends in the press think the 2024 contest will be a repeat of the 2020 presidential election. Republicans have no consensus yet on whom they want to run in 2020. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced yet but will present unique challenges for Trump and Biden in any general election. While Democrats and press will deomonize DeSantis the same way they do Trump, it’s going to be much harder because of DeSantis age. General election voters don’t see much difference between Biden and Trump but they see a big difference with DeSantis. Like former President Bill Clinton, DeSantis would be 46-year-old if elected president, a major contrast to electing 82-year-old President Joe Biden. Biden’s problem isn’t age per se but his horrific decision-making trashing decades of cooperation with Russia and Communist China. U.S. can’t afford a war with Russia and China.
Democrats and the press hope that Trump prevails in the GOP primaries. All indications point to Republican voters seeking a fresh face in 2024. Whether admitted to or not, Democrats want someone new in 2024.but can’t dislodge Biden from seeking a second term. In a match up against Trump, Democrats think they can duplicate Nov. 3, 2020, beating Trump because of his baggage. But when it comes to DeSantis, Democrats and the press aren’t sure that Biden can stop independents from jumping ship. A recent NBC poll showed that a majority of Democrats, if forced, would live with Biden, but up to 51% would prefer and younger candidate. DeSantis would throw Biden for a loop, exposing his age in dramatic fashion. Trump on the other hand contrasts on ideas but not much difference in terms of age. Republicans haven’t had a youthful candidate since former President George W. Bush was elected at age 54.
