Battling bad publicity over the possible Ukrainian bombing of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline Sept 26, 2022, 68-year-old House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) rejected 45-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invivation to go to Ukraine. McCarthy is well aware that Zelensky invites forging officials to Kiev for one reason: Assuring more cash-and-weapons. Foreign officials the gullible press has been buffaloed by Zelensky’s charm since before the Feb. 24, 2022 start of the Ukraine War. Whether he’s competent as a leader or not, he’s capable of selling ice-to-Eskimos when it comes to pitching the Ukraine War as a battle to save democracy in Europe. No one questioned Zelensky’s sincerity until know when he’s potentially fingered for the undersea bombing of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. McCarthy, along with a handful of GOP elected officials, don’t buy Zelensky’s sales job.
Democrat-Controlled media has bought lock-stock-and-barrel Zelensky’s sales pitch to the West, trying just about everything to convince government to back h is war against the Kremlin. Zelensky told Western leaders 70-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin was trying to ethnically cleanse the Ukrainian people, wipeout the entire population. He then sold the invasion as an attempt to conquer Ukraine, setting up a puppet Russian government. Then Zelensky told foreign governments that Putin was committing war crimes, insisting he be tried in the Hague’s International Criminal Court. Only recently, Zelensky thought of inviting Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kiev to sell him on the evil Russian empire. Zelensky now wants McCarthy to visit Kiev so he can quell a growing minority of voices, mostly Republicans, saying that the U.S. government should not give Zelensky a “blank check.”
McCarthy resisted Democrats and the media mob pressuring him to jump on the Ukraine bandwagon, whether or not it leads to WW III or nuclear war. With the U.S. and world suffering from runaway inflation and slow growth, if not recession, the public has not made the connection to the Ukraine War. Boycotting Russian oil and slapping Putin with the most severe sanctions in history, Biden’s approach to the war has backfired, with primarily European countries backing his proxy war. Biden can’t fathom that Putin has largely circumvented U.S. and EU sanctions, selling his cheap crude oil more than ever to China, India, Brazil and South Africa. Biden has threatened to sanction China if Xi dares to back Russia militarily in Ukraine. Beijing questioned the hypocrisy when the U.S. sells plenty of weapons to Taiwan, a potential flash-point for a future war with Taiwan.
Zelensky, and his PR team, are wholly dependent on U.S. government largess to run the bankrupt Kiev government. Any suggestion that the spigot could get turned off promotes panic in Kiev. Zelensky isn’t worried about Russian conquering Ukraine, he’s worried about losing U.S. funding. “Let me be very clear about what I said: No blank checks, OK? So from that perspective, I don’t have to go to Ukraine to understand where there’s a blank check, or no,” McCarthy said today. “I will continue to get my briefings and other, but I don’t have to go to Ukraine or Kiev to see it. And my point has always been, I won’t provide a blank they for anything,” McCaruthy said. Zelensky gets that sinking feeling when he hears the U.S. could turn off the spigot. Ukraine has every reason not to settle the conflict, go to the peace table and negotiate and mutually beneficial settlement.
Zelensky set a 10-point peace plan that is unrealistic, almost laughable, like prosecuting Putin and Russian officials for war crimes before going to the peace table. Zelensky demands, before any talks, war reparations from the Kremlin. So, as long as Biden gives Zelensky a “blank check,” he has no reason to go to the peace table. Peace to Zelensky means a loss of billions in U.S. aid. “He has to come here to see how we work. What’s happening here, what war caused us, which people are fighting now, who are fight now. Ane then after that, make your assumptions,” Zelensky told Wolf Blitzer on CNN, the cable network that treats war like a Democrat political campaign. Why would any news network take a position pro-or-con about a foreign war? Should news networks or papers report the facts and let viewers or readers draw their own conclusions. Not CNN and other Democrat-controlled media.
Democrats have so demonized Republicans, it doesn’t matter whether it’s former President Donald Trump or any other GOP officials. Only war hawks that back the Ukraine War like 67-year-old Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) get invited on Democrat-cotrolled news shows. Or, if you happen to have a vendetta with Trump, like Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Ut.), you also get invited to the anti-Trump party. Zelensky can’t stop selling the war not matter whether it leads to WW III or nuclear war. He’s asked but denied NATO and European Union membership, Zelensky came to a joint session of Congress Dec. 21, 2022, to tell elected officials that Ukraine is not a charity case but an investment in European democracy. Rubbish like that passes off as valid, when the Democrat-controlled press wants to promote war with Russia, all because it validates Biden’s reckless agenda.
