Condemning Brazil’s uprising on the steps of Brasilia’s government, 80-year-old President Joe Biden compared the riots to Jan. 6, 2021, blaming the mess on 67-year-old former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. “I condemn the assault on democracy and on the peaceful transfer of power to Brazil,” Biden said yesterday. “Brazil’s democratic institutions have our full support and the will of the Brazilian people must not be undermined,” Biden said, knowing little about Brazilian politics. Latin America has tried leftist government in the past, looking a the failed state in Hugo Chavez’s, now Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela. Biden, who’s moved the U.S. government more left than any U.S. president since WW II, has massively over spent U.S. Treasury resources, first on pandemic relief and now on infrastructure or public works projects, creating the worst inflation in 40 years.

Any look at the Oct. 30, 2022 Brazilian elections shows a closely divided government much like the Nov. 8, 2020 U.S. election. Brazil’s leftist 77-year-old President Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva got 50.9% of the vote to former President Jair Bolsonaro’s 49.1%, a closely divided election. So when Biden says protesters should respect the will of the Brazilian people, roughly half the population disagrees with Lula’s socialist policies. Biden likes to take a swipe at anything that involves 76-year-old former President Donald Trump who had close ties with Bolsonaro. More importantly, Trump had a good rapport with 70-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin and 69-year-old Chinese President Xi Jinping. Biden’s relations with Russia and China are the worst since WW II, with Biden saying Sept. 23, 2022 he would commit U.S. troops to defending Taiwan, a clear violation of the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act.

When it comes to Latin American relations, Biden contemplated over the summer buying Venezuelan oil, all because gas prices went through the roof before the 2022 Midterm elections. Biden made a wasteful trip to Saudi Arabia July 15, 2022, asking 37-year-old Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to pump more oil. When it comes to the Ukraine War, Biden decided to join Ukraine’s fight against the Kremlin, now convincing Capitol Hill that his proxy war with the Kremlin is good for U.S. national security. Biden’s abysmal decision making on Ukraine has drained the National Treasury, driven up the national debt and created the worst inflation in 40 years. Biden refuses to admit his proxy war using Ukrainian troops, pouring unlimited cash-and-arms into Ukraine, has damaged the U.S. and world economy. Biden’s proxy war would never happen under Trump.

Trump has been reluctant to condemn in the strongest possible terms Biden’s counterproductive proxy war against the Kremlin. It’s accomplished nothing in the way of protecting democracy in Europe. Putin didn’t threaten other European countries, he invaded Ukraine to stop the unlimited U.S. and NATO arms flowing into Kiev. Democrats and the media frequently criticized Trump for having close ties to Moscow and Beijing, claiming Trump had inappropriately relations with both countries. So that Biden’s destroyed U.S.-Russian relations, joining Ukraine’s war against the Kremlin, the U.S. press says nothing. What more inappropriate wrecking U.S. diplomatic relations with Russia and China or Trump having pragmatic cooperative relations? How ironic that Democrats and the press back Biden’s proxy war with the Kremlin even if it harms U.S. national security.

What’s happening in Brazil should not be Biden’s chance to take another cheap shot at Trump. It’s undeniable that there would have been no Ukraine War, at least for the U.S. government, against the Kremlin. Trump would have continued to build solid relations with Putin to avoid any Kremlin invasion, help Ukraine and Moscow resolve their differences. But no, under Biden, the U.S. spends close to $50 billion on another unnecessary foreign war harming the U.S .and world economy. Biden feels right at home working with Brazil’s new leftist government, in a closely divided country. When Biden talks about supporting the Brazilian people, he pays no attention to 50% of the population that supported Bolsonaro. “Canada, Mexico and the United States condemns the Jan. 8 attacks on Brazil’s democracy and on the peaceful transfer of power. We stand with Brazil as it safeguards democratic institutions,” read a joint statement.

Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the attacks on the Brasilia government. “Let’s be clear: This was an obvious and clear attack on a democratic process,” Kamala said, showing confidence in newly minted Brazilian Amb. Elizabeth Bagley. Kamala said she has confidence in Bagley’s ability to restore peace in the region. What can a U.S. ambassador do to meddle in the internal affairs of any country? Kamala makes zero sense talking how Bagley can restore order in Brazil. When it comes to U.S. foreign policy, it’s clear that Biden has put the U.S. behind the Eight Ball when it comes to U.S. national security. Whatever happens in Brazil, it’s not up to the U.S. or any other country to figure out. When it comes to Ukraine, Biden has set back U.S.-Russian and U.S.-Chinese relations for decades. Biden needs to let U.N. peacemakers work on ending he Ukraine War before it’s too late.
