Former four-star General David Petraeus, 69, once groomed to take over the Pentagon, told host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” WABC 770 AM radio in New York, that that the situation for Russian President Vladimir Putin looks “dire” in Ukraine. Petraeus’ resume reads like a who’s who at the Pentagon, former Centom Commander [2008-2010], eventually getting the CIA Director job under former President Barack Obama [2011-2012], until he self-destructed with public exposure of his affair to 49-year-old biographer Paula Broadwell. If the affair weren’t bad enough, Petreus exposed Broadwell to the CIA’s top secrets, prompting Obama to call for his resignation. Petraeus talked a good game but ultimately went up in flames because of his inappropriate relationship with Broadwell, demonstrating that Petraeus was not fit for duty with such incredibly bad judgment.

Today, Petraeus makes outrageous claims that NATO was prepared to topple Putin if he uses a tactical nuke in Ukraine, something he knows nothing about. Petreus had his security clearance stripped because of exposing Broadwell to the CIA’s top secrets, while recklessly betraying his government with his affair. “At the end of the day, the situation looks very dire indeed for Vladimir Putin,” Petraeus told Catsimatridis, completing ignoring the amount of land Putin has seized from Ukraine over the last seven months. While it’s true that Russian troops have re-deployed from Kharkiv’s north to
Donbas, it’s also true that Putin controls Ukraine’s entire Black Sea coast and all its strategic ports. “This is not going to produce well-trained, well-equipped, cohesive troops and units,” Petraeus said. “It’s going to produce cannon fodder,” referring to Putin’s 300,000 call-up.

Petraeus doesn’t believe that Putin’s nuke threats should be taken seriously, he told ABC t hat if he uses tactical nukes NATO would band together to topple his government. Petreus has no facts, only wild speculation about what NATO would or wouldn’t do in Ukraine Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday he would apply to fast-track his application to NATO, assuming that once a NATO member the trans-Atlantic Alliance would supply troops and a no-fly-zone to Ukraine. Petraeus evidently didn’t hear NATO Secretary-Genaral Jens Stoltenger comment about Ukraine’s fast-track application. Stoltenberg said today that NATO membership must be unanimous with all its 30 members. Without saying it, Stolenberg offered Zelensky no real hope of getting into the alliance anytime soon. Zelensky doesn’t get that NATO doesn’t want to fight a war against Russia on the European Continent.

Whatever opinions Petreus holds, he’s a shell of the man that was once Cencom Commander and CIA Director. After his affair with Broadwell, exposing the CIA’s top secrets to his biographer-mistress, how could anyone trust anything Peteaeus says? Petraeus acknowledged the obvious that Putin has local support in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia but has condemnation in the Western Alliance for seizing Ukraine’s sovereign territory. But Petraeus knows as long as the Biden White House has declared war on Putin, seizing sovereign land goes with the territory. “The United States national security adviser publicly has said that he has communicated, our government has communicated, with the Russian government that the response to any use of nuclear weapons would be catastrophic to them,” Petraeus said, repeating recent threats by 45-year-old Jake Sullivan.

President Joe Biden, 79, has been threatening Putin and the Russian Federation for months before the Feb. 24 invasion. Biden told Putin and the world that the Russian leader would face the most crippling economic sanctions in history. Well, in case Biden hasn’t checked, that didn’t stop Putin from invading Ukraine. Petaeus made as silly comparison to former President Donald Trump, Putin wants to “make Russia great again,” saying that it’s backfire, because Putin made NATO great again. But NATO wants no part of any war on the European Continent against the Russian Federation. Petraeus commented about Finland and Sweden joining NATO makes the alliance stronger but not admitting that both countries, while officially neutral, have always caucused with NATO. Petraues sees Putin doing damage to the Russian Federation, when in fact he’s fighting a war in Ukraine against the U.S.

Trusting anything Petraeus says as a private citizen is utterly meaningless because he was completely discredited by the Obama administration. What Petraeus did sharring CIA’s top secrets with Broadwell is far worse that anything did by Trump at Mar-a-Lago, yet he’s readily used by the press, much like Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, and convicted felon and convict, quoted often in the liberal press. Petraeus, with all his past expereience, has nothing more to offer the media that former Atty. Michale Avenatti, who once appeared nightly on CNN denigrating Trump, until he was convicted in federal court of extorting Nike Inc. Petraeus should be ashamed of himself hazarding opinions about current events when he gave away, while CIA Director, the CIA’s top secrets to Broadwell.
