Today’s defamatory anti-Trump New York Times story about 76-year-old former President Donald Trump reveals the complete hypocrisy of the liberal press.. Once Trump became president, he was demonized on the left as an arch conservative, the nemesis of the American left, something the Times new wasn’t true, since he liked a good laugh, like everyone other liberals, on the radio with Howard Stern. But the demonizing narrative by the Times against Trump was the world’s most rabid conservative along the lines of the late Rush Limbaugh. Trump was called out by his GOP conservatives on the campaign trail as a New York liberal, a narrative the New York Times changed after his Jan. 20, 2017 inauguration. Now the Times reports Trump had private reservations about the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, proof of Trump’s supreme phoniness.
New York Times writers like Maggie Habberman have zero credibility, turning anything into a story to attack Trump. Ask Habberman how she likes gas prices or her 401 {k) under 79-year-old President Joe Biden? Even the most liberal are starting to question the advisability to funding a proxy war against the Russian Federation. Habberman finds it astonishing that Trump privately held reservations about the High Court striking down Roe v. Wade. To the liberal press, Trump is the enemy, not a human being, whose presidency did more to help the U.S. economy and foreign policy than anything done by the current incumbent. It’s sacrilegious for the Times to criticize the Democrat incumbent, despite the damage he’s wreaked on the U.S. economy and foreign policy. Trump says that ending Roe v. Wade could help Democrats heading into November’s Midterm elections.
Trump knows the polls about the American public’s attitude about Roe v. Wade. Whether citizens like federal abortion legislation or not, the vast majority would have left it alone because, at the end of the day, it doesn’t hurt anyone, other than, as pro-life groups say, the unborn child. But to the average person, they’re more concerned about their 401 (k) or stock portfolio, gas prices or home affordability than whether the government guarantees abortions. For the Supreme Court to reverse 49-years of legal precedent, it shows the kind of misplaced priorities plaguing the country. Citizens should be more concerned with 79-year-old Biden’s decision to fund the Ukraine government and war against the Russian Federation. Soaring gas prices and runaway inflation has hurt every working American, not affected in the slightest when someone seeks an abortion from her doctor.
New York Times fights a twilight war against Trump, not because he represents the conservative movement but because he makes the incumbent president look bad. Biden’s approval ratings are at the lowest level recorded with full U.S. press backing. Trump never had any backing from the mainstream press, continuing to write hit pieces against him. But Trump isn’t the one who declared war on the Russian Federation or who has alienated China to the point of breaking off diplomatic relations. Where’s the moral equivalence with the New York Times reminding the public that Trump once backed abortion rights? Trump’s private comments about ending Roe v. Wade reflect that fact that suburban women, who backed Biden on Election Day, would be offended having their abortion rights taken away. Trump’s concerns about ending Roe had to do with losing suburban housewives.
Trump is blamed, once again, for appointing three conservatives, including Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kamanaugh and Amy Coney Barret, on the High Court. Instead of asking the associate justices to explain themselves, Trump takes the heat for ending Roe v. Wade. All three justices in their Senate confirmation hearings said they respected settled law, yet voted, at the first opportunity, to reverse Roe v. Wade. Trump refused to comment whether his appointments were responsible for ending 49-years of federally guaranteed abortions. “ I never like to take credit for anythings,’ Trump told the New York Times in May. Times accused Trump during his four years to taking credit for the economy and the fact the nation was not at war. Well, what’s wrong with that? Trump left the country in peace and prosperity, not hyperinlfation and an ongoing war, wasting precious U.S. tax dollars.
New York Times personified Trump as the nation’s second coming of the late Rush Limbaugh. But the truth is Trump was a live-and-let-live politician, not putting his name of controversial causes. It was no accident that during Trump’s four years in office, the U.S. was not at war with any country. While Trump had his spats with North Kroea’s Kim Jong-un, they developed an unusual friendship, far closer than any other president. Under Biden, the U.S. lost its relations with Russia and China, leaving both countries ready to go to war against the U.S. Democrats no doubt will used today’s Supreme Court ruling to vilify Trump, not ask questions about the justices that ending 49-year-od settled federal law. New York Times should look at itself for why a sizable body of the electorate agrees with the Supreme Court ruling to end Roe v. Wade, regardless of 49-years of legal precedent.
