President Joe Biden’s, 79, failed Ukraine strategy was on full display announcing early this week that he would deliver Ukraine more advanced mid-range rocket systems, admitting he wanted to give Ukraine an advantage at the eventual peace table. Well, if you ask Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky or his 40-year-old Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, more advanced U.S. weapons can help turn the tide on the war, something they’ve been saying for 14 weeks. Since the began Feb. 28, Russia controlled 7% of Ukrainian sovereign territory, seizing control over Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk in 2014. Now that Ukraine’s prosecuted the war with U.S. cash-and-weapons, Russian now controls at least 20% of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, a amateurish gambit by Zelensky and Biden, taking the battle to the Russia Federation, something destined to humiliate the U.S. and Ukraine.

Today’s air strike in Kiev confirms what Putin warned that if the U.S. supplied Ukraine mid-range missile system, Russia would start hitting key Ukraine’s targets. White House and U.S. press fake narrative had Ukraine winning the war, highlighting Russia’s war losses in terms of personnel and military hardware. Yet after 14 weeks, the fact remains that Ukraine has lost 13% more territory but it’s most strategic Black Sea coastline. Speaking to TASS, Russian State news network on Rossiya-1, confirmed that the delivery of new U.S. missiles systems would make Ukraine pay a draconic price. Putin informed Washington and Kiev that delivering new missiles systems would result in Russian hitting new targets around the country. Washington and Kiev boasted that Putin was driven out of Kiev. Putin didn’t surrender Kiev, he pivoted to spend his time on capturing the entire Black Sea Coast.

Zelensky and Kuleba are either too naïve or just spewing bravado about Putin not capturing Kiev. Both know Putin has the air force and missiles to level Kiev at any time if he felt like it. “If it now comes to rockets and they are supplied , we will draw conclusions from that and employ our weapons that we have in sufficient quantities to strike those facilities that we are not attacking so far. So, Biden decides to supply Ukraine more lethal weapons for what? Biden claims it give Ukraine a better bargaining position at future peace talks. Biden has weakened Ukraine’s bargaining position, just like he has during the 14-week old conflict. Ukraine’s amateur leaders have made every mistake under the sun deciding arrogantly to take on the Russian Federation. What was Zelensky thinking when he decided he was going to pit his inexperienced Ukrainian army against the the Russian Federation?

All the fervor from Ukraine and Washington hides the dismal reality of the Ukraine War, that the White House and Kiev are losing their shirts. Zelensky and Biden don’t like to admit that they’re losing the war badly, surrendering nearly the entire Black Sea coast. Every new weapons system given to Ukraine by the U.S. and NATO has made no difference at all in defending Ukraine’s sovereign territory. Putin offered Zelensky a way out of the conflict two months ago, telling Kiev they needed to recognize the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk and accept Russian sovereignty over Crimea. Had Zelensky agreed to Putin’s conditions0, which took nothing away from Kiev, Zelensky would have spared his country the thoussands of deaths, 12 million refugees, widespread devastation and loss of the strategic Black Sea coast. All Zelensky had to do was go the bargaining table to end the conflict.

Zelensky, armed with Biden’s cash, arms and fantasy, proceeded to wage war against the Russian Federation. Ukraine has lost mightily trying to compete with the Russian army, far more experienced in fighting wars of attrition. Ukraine has been spurred on by Biden, supplying Ukraine with unlimited lethal weapons and cash to fund the Kiev government and the war. “We believe that the delivery of rocket systems by the United States and some other countries is related to making up for the losses of this combat hardware. There is nothing new about that and this actually changes nothing,” Putin said, serving notice to Biden that the strategy won’t work but actually makes things a lot worse for Ukraine. Biden’s best advice to Zelensky would be to go to Istanbul and work out a ceasefire deal before its too late. Every day that goes by, Ukraine loses more sovereign territory.

Putin’s warning to Kiev and Washington should be heeded but won’t be because Biden and Zelensky won’t admit that they’ve already lost the war. Keeping the war going indefinitely would bankrupt the U.S. Treasury already pouring $40 billion in the war effort. Putin wasn’t threatening the White House and Kiev, he was saying that he will counter new missile systems with hitting strategic targets all over Ukraine. Watching missiles strike Kiev today, Ukrainian elected officials were horrified, no knowing how Russia could hit the capital. Zelensky knows that Putin could level Kiev at anytime but has shown considerable restraint trying to prosecute the war. Giving Ukraine medium-range missile systems offers no advantage to Kiev but emboldens Putin to start hitting new targets over Ukraine. Biden and Zelensky need to urgently recalculate their strategy before losing more ground.
