Creating another D.C. shockwave, a Deep State leak from the U.S. Supreme Court released to the liberal news cite Politico a draft of the Supreme Court’s legal opinion reversing the 1973 landmark ruling Roe v. Wade, legalizing abortion in the United States. Chief Justice John Roberts, 67, expressed his outrage over the political sacrosanct High Court getting struck with a Deep State leak. Whoever the leaker, it’s obvious they wanted to sabotage the expected ruling created a maelstrom before the Supreme Court announces their ruling before the Court convenes sometime in June. Pro-choice activists took to the streets to protest the expected Supreme Court ruling that could reverse nearly 50 years of legal precedent on the abortion issue, a cause celebre for the Democrat Party. President Joe Biden, 79, reacted today saying that abortion is a woman’s inalienable right.
Having a confederate, Deep State mole in the venerable Supreme Court shows that no one in today’s Washington is immune from the kind to yellow journalism that fills the pages of the New York Times and Washington Post, spreading to almost all broadcast journalism outlets. Whatever the First Amendment means in theory, the U.S. news media closes rinks with the Democrat Party to advance a one-party agenda for domestic and foreign policy. When it comes to abortion, the press is outraged by even the suggestion that on a matter of Constitutional law, the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling “was egregiously wrong from the start,” according to the draft released to Politico. “To the extent this betrayal of the confidence of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed. The work of the Court will not be affected in any way,” Roberts said in response to the leak.
Roberts was dumbfounded by the leak but really shouldn’t be that shocked because the controversial nature of the ruling on Roe v. Wade. Pro-choice groups around the country don’t care whether Roe v. Wade is Constitutional or not, they care only about the principle of women controlling their own bodies, their own medical care. Doctors and other health care workers assisting in a medical procedure, AKA as a dilatation and curettage [suctioning out the uterus], aren’t concerned about Constitutional issues, only doing their jobs. Horrified by the leak, Roberts doubled down on the High Court doing its job, much like Congress asserted its right to certify the Electoral College vote Jan. 6, 2021. With protests massing in front to the High Court, Roberts insisted the Supreme Court would not be influence by the mob. Whatever the final ruling, Roberts wants the public to know the High Court will do its job.
Like other federal bureaucracies, the Supreme Court carefully vets its employees, both short and long-term. Rogers announced that the Marshall of the Court would conduct and investigation to find the source of the leak. “We at the Court are blessed to have a workforce—permanent employees and law clerks alike—intensely loyal to the institution and dedicated to the rule of law . . ,” Roberts said, insisting the Court would find the leaker. Roberts confirmed that the draft published on Politico was authentic but added that it was a “draft,” not a final ruling. Written by 72-year-old Associate Justice Samuel Alito, the draft went into great detail about how Roe v. Wade was a flawed ruling from its inception, mirroring popular political trends more than Constitutional law. “Justices circulate draft opinions internally as routine and essential part of the Court’s confidential deliberative work. . . “Roberts said.
All the mass demonstrations in Front of the Supreme Court have no bearing on whether the draft ruling reflects the final ruling or even the final vote by the Justice who wrote the draft ruling. “Although the document described in yesterday’s reports is authentic, it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues of the case,” said Roberts. “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled . It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives,” said Alito in his draft published by Politico. With the High Court holding a 6 to 3 conservative majority, it’s conceivable that Alito and other so-called conservatives will agree with Alito’s reasoning. Associate Justices recently appointed by former President Donald Trump, including Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, may agree.
Whatever happens with the final rulings, Democrats will use the ruling to advance their political agenda this fall of keeping majorities in the House and Senate. Biden’s staffers raised the issue of galvanizing Democrats heading into the Midterm election to vote for pro-choice Democrat politicians. “It will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levers to government to protect a woman’s right to choose. And it will fall on voters to elected officials this November. At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law,” Biden said. What a great distraction for Biden now mired in the Ukraine War and hyperinflation wrecking the U.S. economy. Whether admitted to or not, ending Roe v. Wade could galvanize Democrats heading into the Midterm elections.
