Washington Post, one of the prime Russian-hoax propaganda papers, called out China for helping Russia with disinformation and propaganda. In an astonishing break with reality, the Post disowns over four years of reporting with un-sourced or anonymously sourced stories that former President Donald Trump was a Russian asset, a danger to U.S. national security. Today, the Post goes rogue, accusing China of the exact same thing it did for years to discredit the Trump presidency. What happened to all the front-and-back-page stories about Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin? Now that Russia clamped down on its media outlets during its war with Ukraine, the Post now says China continues propaganda on American social networks, claiming to disseminate sweeping lies about the Ukraine War. So the Post sees the potential for WW III with Russia, now wants to extend it to China.
Whatever disinformation and propaganda comes from Russia and China, it pales in comparison to the so-called credible news stories coming from the Post. Take senior editor Bob Woodward, for example, his 2020 book, “Rage,” designed to discredit Trump’s 2020 campaign, claimed that Trump knew everything Jan. 28, 2020 about the evolving Covid-19 pandemic. Trump knew everything according to Woodward, when the World Health Organization [WHO] didn’t announce a global pandemic until March 11, 2020. But to Woodward, working as a covert Democrat operative, it’s OK to blame Trump for the pandemic, when, on Jan. 28, 2020, not one person in the U.S. had died of Covid.-19. If that’s not disinformation and propaganda that what is? Because the Washington Post enjoys a rich history doesn’t mean the paper hasn’t been hijacked by Democrat operatives.
Russia and China, like most countries disseminate fake news, much like the Washington Post and New York Times, all regarded by themselves as respected news organizations. But neither the Post nor the Times has accounted for how they produced countless stories about Trump’s ties to the Kremlin or Russian President Vladimir Putin, without naming sources but relying largely on former Hillary Rodham Clinton’s fake “Steele dossier.” No one at the Post or Times has explained how credentialed news organizations can publish pure rubbish for over four years. When it came to Trump, anything goes, the most egregious propaganda, far worse than anything coming out of Russia or China. When respected news organizations hide behind reputations, it makes the fake news far worse because no one suspects the lies. Woodward’s book, “Rage,” was egregious political rubbish.
Looking at propaganda coming from China and Russia, no one denies that both countries give their own slant on the news. When it comes to the Ukraine War, Russia and China have blamed the U.S. and NATO for encroaching on Russian national security, prompting Putin to invade. No one at the Post and Times has asked why President Joe Biden refused to meet with Putin for several months to discuss new security arrangements in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Putin was complaining for years about NATO encroachment, all ignored by the White House. In the lead up to the Ukraine War, Putin stationed over 100,000 troops inside Russia near the Ukraine border, prompting Biden to accuse Putin of getting ready to invade. No one at the Post or Times says a thing about Putin’s requests for new security arrangements, only that Putin found any excuse to invade.
Where’s the honesty or fairness in reporting when the Post and Times only gives White House talking points to their readers? Biden claims the war was “unprovoked and unjustified,” when, in fact, Putin warned Biden Dec. 24, 2021, that if the U.S. didn’t work with Russia on new security arrangements, he would have to take “military-technical measures” to resolve the threat posed by Ukraine. Post and Times reporting said nothing about the Pentagon and NATO arming Ukraine with lethal weapons over Putin’s objections. All they reported in the lead up to the Feb. 24 war was that Putin massed troops on the border and considered invading. No mention of Ukraine becoming a U.S. arms’ depot against Kremlin objections. But to the Post and Times, it’s only Russia and China spewing propaganda. U.S. news consumers know to doubt anything coming from Russia or China but not U.S papers.
Washington Post correctly called out China as serving as a propaganda outlet for Russian media. It doesn’t call out itself for doing the same thing when it has a hidden agenda to discredit Trump. When it came to getting Trump out of office, how many stories did the Post and Times run about Trump’s alleged ties to Moscow or, for that matter, his ties to white nationalist groups? When you talk about propaganda, no one does it better than the Post and Times, especially on the Covid-19 global pandemic. Even though China clearly originated the virus in a bioweapons’ lab in Wuhan, the Post and Time only reported WHO propaganda that the virus occurred naturally. So when it comes to trusting anything from the Times and Post, the public beware. It’s easy to sell readers on the idea that Russia and China spew propaganda but also easy sell readers that the Post and Times tell the truth.
