Hitting an 83% approval rating because of the Ukraine War, 69-year-old President Joe Biden can only ask himself what happened to his approval ratings now hovering at 40%. White House officials are in complete denial over Biden’s mismanagement of the economy, drivng inflation to nearly double digits, watching foreign relations with America’s adversaries hit rock bottom. Biden keeps seeking favors from China, India and Saudi Arabia, when relations under Biden could not be worse. Biden has been prosecuting the Ukraine War from the White House, asking the American public to jump on the bandwagon. Only problem for Biden is he can make the case why Americans should care about Ukraine. Biden spends most of his time demonizing 69-yar-old Russia President Vladimir Putin, telling the world press that the Ukraine War was “unprovoked and unjustified.”
If the American public agreed with Biden’s propaganda about Ukraine, they wouldn’t give him such abysmal approval ratings. White House officials want to deny that Biden’s sagging approval ratings are due to nefarious manipulation by U,S. pollsters. Yet Biden believed wholeheartedly in the polls when he ran against former President Donald Trump whose approval ratings hovered around 40%. One big difference, Trump had the worst press coverage of any modern president. Biden’s press coverage makes excuse-after-excuse trying to prop up his low approval ratings. When it comes to Putin’s 83% approval ratings, the White House is in disbelief, saying that Levada, Russia main polling organization, is totally corrupt. Biden’s about to find out how real the approval ratings when voters go to the polls in November’s Midterm Elections.
White House officials and friends in the press continue to show Russian atrocities in various war zones in Ukraine. Yet Ukraine, under White House direction, continues the fight, regardless of what the battle does to Ukrainian infrastructure and civilians. Branding Putin as a war criminal panders to the Western press, certainly not the press in China, India, Saudi Arabia and other states where they believe the U.S. caused the Ukraine War by encroaching on Russian national security. Biden can’t explain why China and India, the world’s two most populous nations, don’t agree with the White House view that Putin is a war criminal. China and India want the war to end but expect the U.S. and Ukraine to negotiate in good faith to provide Putin the security guarantees necessary to end the conflict. Biden pretends that the U.S. did nothing to provoke war in Ukraine.
When it comes to approval ratings, the contrast between Biden and Putin could not be more stark. Biden thinks he has the backing of the American public but knows that his approval ratings are at about 40%. There’s no awareness that all the demonization of Putin can’t hide the fact that Biden provoked Putin into invading Ukraine. If Biden didn’t arm Ukraine with lethal weapons, including supplying NATO advisers, Putin would not have invaded. Prosecuting the Ukraine War has been a complicated mess, with Putin enjoying air superiority, leaving many Ukrainian towns and cities in rubble. But Biden and Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymir Zelensky insist that they’re winning the war, with Putin making a flurry of military blunders. Yet the Ukraine landscape shows the country in ruins only after 38 days. Calling Putin a war criminal misses the point about the horrors of war.
Biden couldn’t get the backing for the Ukraine War from China, India and Saudi Arabia, largely because Biden accused the countries of human rights abuses. When Biden needed China, India and Saudi Arabia support, they all agreed that Putin had a right to protect Russia’s national security. So if Biden were correct that Putin’s invasion was “unprovoked and unjustified,” why do China, India and Saudi Arabia agree that Putin has a right to defend Russian national security? Biden can get the U.S., EU and U.K. to back his war against the Russian Federation but he can’t get consensus with the nation’s more populous countries. Putin recognizes that the Ukraine War is actually a U.S. proxy war against the Russian Federation. Biden said last week in Warsaw that Putin must not remain in power, recognizing that the White House Ukraine mission is to remove Putin from power.
Unlike Biden with a 40% approval rating, Putin enjoys an 83% approval rating, attesting to the fact that the Russian people back him is his battle against the U.S. When Biden said Putin should not remain in power, it was clear that the purpose of the U.S. war in Ukraine was to remove Putin from power. Whatever destruction and carnage is seen in Ukraine, it’s Russia battling the United States, not just Ukraine. Without the U.S. and NATO supplying arms to Ukraine, they would not risk war with the Russian Federation that now threatens to destroy the entire country. Yet if you ask Biden and Zelensky, they are winning the war, something not matched by the facts on the ground. Biden sees Putin’s war a failure because he didn’t topple Kiev in the first 48 hours. Putin’s soaring approval ratings prove that White House propaganda isn’t the only narrative on Ukraine.
