White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, 43, continues the Biden White House hubris of using the Russian Ukraine War to bash China. Psaki demanded that China condemn the Ukraine War, knowing, that President Joe Biden, 79, his 59-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken and 45-year-old Jake Sullivan have destroyed U.S.-China and U.S.-Russian relations. So when the White House looked to China to dissuade 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine, China told the U.S. it’s not of their business. After accusing China of genocide and Muslim Uyghurs and boycotting the Beijing Winter Olympics, Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to hear nothing from the U.S. “This is not the time to stand on the sidelines. This is a time to be vocal and condemn the actions of President Putin and Russia invading a sovereign country,” Psaki told MSNBC.
Psaki should remind all U.S. citizens that the Biden administration has wrecked U.S. foreign policy and endangered U.S. national security. If Republicans controlled the House and Senate, Biden would have been impeached and removed from office for utter incompetence most likely due to cognitive decline. But Psaki lambasting China drives another stake into moribund U.S.-China relations, not an intelligent thing to do when the U.S. needs all the help with foreign policy it can get. Wrecking U.S.-Russian and U.S-Chinese relations, the U.S. under Biden has no leverage with U.S. enemies because of Biden’s missteps with Russia and China. So when Psaki asks China for help, she got to be kidding. “But there ‘s also important steps for the Chinese leadership to look at themselves and really assess where they want to stand as the history book are write,” Psaki lectured the Peoples Republic of China [PRC].
If the Biden White House wants to stop burning bridges and start repairing damaged relations, Psaki and other White House officials need to stop insulting foreign leaders on whom they’d like to count on for support. When Blinken and Sullivan met with China for a get-to-know-you summit March 18, 2021 in Anchorage, AK,, they accused China of genocide against Muslim Uygurs, cracking down on pro-Democracy activists in Hong Kong and intimidating Taiwan. With a start like that, relations with China went south. So just when the White House would like to see China help in an urgent world crisis, China turns its back on the U.S. Psaki, her boss Biden, Blinken and Sullivan have no clue when they’re insulting foreign leaders. Beijing doesn’t back the Ukraine War but they sure won’t help the White House after the abuse by the White House all in the name of “human rights.”
What kind of human rights are now violated in Ukraine because Biden refused to talk, discuss and negotiate with Putin a better security arrangement in Ukraine an Eastern Europe? Putin and his 72-year-old Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov asked Biden to sit down and discuss new security arrangement, including prohibiting Ukraine from joining NATO and stopping U.S. and NATO shipments of lethal weapons to Ukraine. Speaking today on CNN with Fared Zakaraia, 56-year-old former Ukraine President Petro Porshenko made a public pitch for NATO membership, the exact issue that caused Putin to attack Ukraine. If there’s any chance of ceasefire and eventual peace deal, Putin will need assurances that the Ukraine will not longer pose a national security threat to the Russian Federation. Putin and Lavrov view Ukraine as a “puppet” U.S. regime on the Russian border.
Biden takes zero responsibility for challenging Putin and pushing him over the edge to invade Ukraine. For over six weeks, Biden said Putin would invade Ukraine “any day,” “any time,” when he had no intention of invading until Biden rebuffed his attempts to work on a new security architecture in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Biden told Putin that all his ideas were “non-starters,” boxing Putin into a corner, knowing his security “red lines” were completely rejected by the White House. White House officials have promoted the idea that Putin is insane invading Ukraine, when he now views Ukraine as a puppet U.S. state on his border. Watching the U.S. and NATO supply Ukraine with lethal weapons crossed the line for Putin who took action to defend the Russian Federation. If Biden showed more responsiveness to Putin’s requests, the whole war could have been avoided.
Psaki and the White House crew continue to make Ukraine’s situation far worse by insulting Putin and not making overtures to work on a new security arrangement that meets all party’s requirements. But, no, Biden had to reject Putin’s security requests, essentially telling the Russian leader to pound sand. “Putin will be a pariah on the international stage. Any nation that countenances Russia’s naked aggression against Ukraine will be stained by association,” Biden said referring to China. Biden has wrecked U.S.-Russia and U.S.-Chinese relations for the remainder of his term in office. U.S. adversaries will out-survive Biden, showing his selfish myopia, leaving the repair to future generations of American leadership. Watching the Ukraine War is a sickening reminder about how poor leadership, bad communication, and utter hubris endangers U.S. national security.
