When CNN ran 24/7 coverage of the anniversary of Jan. 6 Capitol riot, their ratings tanked to the lowest Nielsen Ratings in modern history. Whatever the scandal with primetime host Chris Cuomo, CNN ratings tanked because of the extreme Democrat partisan nature of the once respected Cable News Network. But the public has grown weary of hearing every CNN anchor call the Jan. 6 rabble rousers “Trump supporters,” equating the Jan. 6 riot with a carefully orchestrated “insurrection” designed to overturn the results of Electoral College. But now Democrats see the handwriting on the walls, with Biden’s abysmal approval ratings, now about 42.6% aggregate. Democrats blame Biden’s low approval ratings on the Omicron variant but it’s much more complicated, involving failure with the economy and a disastrous foreign policy pushing the country to war with Russia and China.

Democrats think that if they keep former President Donald Trump front-and-center they have a better chance of selling the public on continuing Democrats in the House and Senate. But Biden’s abysmal approval ratings are a far bigger problem for Democrats going forward, no matter how they hope to turn Jan. 6 into the next Watergate Scandal. Democrats led by 70-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Cali.f) and her former impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) hope to keep the Jan. 6 Select Committee hearings in the public’s eye. But it CNN latest failure on the Jan. 6 anniversary is any guide, Pelosi’s politically charged hearings could backfire. “We are going to do everything we can to subpoena all the information we need and to enforce our subpoenas,” Raskin said, saying he’d turn the Jan. 6 hearings into the next Watergate, something highly farfetched.

Pelosi and Raskin are hoping for a Watergate-like spectacle because they know the states at the November Midterm elections. Saying he’s going to “blow the roof” off the House in terms of explaining to America what actually happened in the attack on our Democracy,” Raskin doesn’t get CNN already tried and failed to make their point. While Pelosi and Raskin hope to pin the Jan. 6 mess on Trump, the situation is far more nuanced with many right wing militia groups playing a far bigger role. Pelosi and Raskin mentions nothing about the Jan. 6 Capitol attack as a backlash against the months of rioting, looting, arson and anarchy by essentially African American groups, Pelosi and Rasking want the whole thing pinned on Trump. CNN found out that most America is polarized in their views on Jan. 6, don’t think it was an “insurrection” designed to overthrow the U.S. government.

When Pelosi and Raskin lost their Feb. 13, 2020 impeachment bid in the U.S. Senate, they vowed they’d redo the impeachment trial in the way of a House Select Committee, placing former President Trump in double-jeopardy. Today’s House Select Committee has become a political spectacle designed to salvage Biden’s abysmal approval ratings. Pelosi and Raskin hope that they can keep Trump in the headlines for the purpose of salvaging the 2022 Midterm Elections. Republican objections to the House Select Committee’s subpoena authority stems from the political nature of the proceeding. Democrats think that future House Select Committee hearings will put Trump back in focus, helping Biden recover his lost approval ratings. Democrats’ strategy backfired on CNN when they headlined Jan. 6 anniversary coverage, actually watching their ratings tank.

Biden’s abysmal approval ratings stem from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, especially with the lack of self-antigen tests, leaving the public unable to confirm Covid-19 diagnosis. Biden ran in 2020 on the platform that Trump had botched the Covid-19 crisis, when, in fact, he worked feverishly to create the vaccines that have saved millions of on lives. With over 880,000 U.S. deaths since the outset of the pandemic in Feb. 2020, there’s no end in sight to the mayhem, especially with the Omicron variant, once though more mild but health officials realizing it’s creating unprecedented levels of hospitalization and severe illness. Therapeutics have improved in their availability since Oct. 2, 2020 when Trump himself was diagnosed with Covid-19. When hospitalized at Walter Reed, Trump was given Regeneron’s monoclonal antibodies, Remdesivir’s anti-viral treatment and dexamethasone to restore breathing.

No new therapeutics are accessible to treat severe Covid disease today, with dexamethasone, by far, helping patients with Covid pneumonia. Regeneron’s monclonal antibodies haven’t proven effective with Omicron, not has Remdesiir worked effectively against the new Omicron variant. When you add all those problems up for Biden, he certainly doesn’t look to be any more effective in managing the Covid-19 crisis than Trump, despite Democrats’ effective job at discrediting the former president. When you add to that Biden’s abysmal handling of Russia and China, it harms U.S. national security. Add to that the U.S. economy wracked by the worst inflation in 40 years, the public has lost confidence in Biden. Exploiting the House Seclect Committee to save Biden’s approval ratings hasn’t worked. Public has figured out that the aging president isn’t getting the job done.
