Creating a hubbub at the White House, 78-year-old President Joe Biden finds himself often misunderstood, largely because he gets his wires crossed, a concern for Democrats when he ran for president. Biden’s had a long history of making gaffes but today’s Biden is more about age-related issues, than his past stuttering or propensity toward gaffes. Speaking to reporters, Biden said he would ask Atty Gen. Merrick Garland to determine whether as president he can order national vaccine mandates. Biden’s found it difficult to reach the 70% double-vaccinated level he promised by July 4, instead watching different parts of the country with more vaccine hesitancy. Biden said out loud it was “still a question” whether he could order vaccine mandates to the entire country, at least in the federal workforce. Reporters asked Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about Joe’s statement.
As the deadly India-originated Delta variant surges Covid-19 infections levels around the country, the 52-year-old Center for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky changed mask guidance, asking all fully vaccinated U.S. citizens from surging Covid-19 areas to wear masks at indoor venues. “A national vaccine requirement is not under consideration at this time,” said Jean-Pierre, trying clean up Biden’s more recent public remarks. “I don’t have any more to add,” meaning that there are no plans in the works to impose a nationwide vaccine mandate. Biden knows he has limited jurisdiction with the federal workforce but it’s not altogether clear whether he can order federal workers to get vaccinate before returning to work. Asking the Justice Department to look into the feasibility to implementing a national vaccine mandate threw the public and press for a loop.
Biden said federal employees and subcontractors would have to attest to their vaccine status, wear masks, physically distance and submit to weekly coronavirus tests, including adhere to travel restrictions. With the Delta variant surging in different parts of the country, some worse than others, the press wants to know if the White House is considering a new round of lockdowns, regardless of what happens with vaccines. Jean-Pierre tried to reassure the press that there were no new plans for lockdowns in the works anywhere in the country, at least with the federal government. “We have the tools in our tool belt to fight this variant, to fight this vaccine, and we are not going to head towards a lockdown,” Jean-Pierre said, making no sense. No one at the White House fights vaccine delivery, seeking to promote vaccines as the best way to achieve herd immunity needed to return to the new normal.
Biden’s White House says it will “listen to the scientists,” a dubious prospect since much the scientific community remains conflicted on vaccines and how to fight a new surge of the virus. Biden’s leading scientist, 80-year-old Dr. Anthony Fauci, is long overdue for retirement, someone who helped Joe defeat Trump in the Nov. 8, 2020 election. Whether admitted to or not, Fauci was a covert Democrat operative, spending much of his time in the 2020 campaign talking to the press, making Trump look bad when it came to managing the virus. Keeping the deadly Covid-19 infectious disease pandemic in the news helped defeat Trump. Fauci worked 24/7 giving interviews to the Trump-hating press, making the former president look bad all through the 2020 campaign. Fauci’s untold numbers of interviews made Trump look incompetent through the 2020 campaign.
Biden does a lot of listening to Fauci, who, for whatever reason, got caught in a sticky wicket, trying to deny that the deadly novel coronavirus was created by “gain-of-function” research in a Wuhan Institute of Virology [WIV] lab. With his colleagues at the World Health Organization [WHO], Fauci insists that the deadly virus occurred naturally in Wuhan, not leaked from WIV chief virologist Shi Zhengli’s bioweapons lab. Fauci at his friend New York-based EcoHealth Alliance CEO Peter Daszak has covered up funding “gain-of-function” research in Zhengli’s WIV lab. White House officials say they’ll listen to the scientists, even when they, like Fauci, spew Communist Chinese Party propaganda. If the U.S. press listened to Fauci, they’d believe the virus came from a Wuhan seafood or wet market. China’s Foreign Ministry says the virus was created in Fort Detrick, Maryland, then planted in Wuhan.
White House claptrap about listening to scientists has gone over the top. Would Biden follow scientists advice if it destroyed the U.S. economy or tossed more workers into unemployment? Biden says he listens to scientists to shut up anyone that questions the mercurial policies coming from the CDC or Food and Drug Administration [FDA] when it comes to mask and vaccine mandates or whether vaccines are safe-and-effective. ”This is a public health situation. This is not about politics at all,” Jean-Pierre told reporters. This is about saving lives. And this is what the president is all about,” repeating old campaign talking points. Biden and 56-year-old Vice President Kamala never gave former President Donald Trump one lick of credit for developing vaccines under his watch. Both questioned the vaccines before they won the 2020 election. Now they’re all about science if it helps their cause.
