Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland, 68, lashed out at 75-year-old President Donald Trump, whose Justice Department under 74-year-old former Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions gave prosecutors the right to subpoena journalist records suspected of leaking to the press. Trump’s Nov. 3, 2016 election was never accepted by Democrats and journalists bitter over former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton losing the election. Hillary, Democrats and the press blamed her loss on Russian interference in the 2016 election, only recently making a fake claim that 68-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Trump elected to damage the United States. Today’s U.S. media is corrupt to the core, with Democrats controlling the U.S. press, spewing disinformation and propaganda with impurnity. Today’s decision by Garland guarantees the press remains unaccountable to any criminal conspiracy.
Trump’s four years in office was characterized like an anti-fascist resistance movement, where the press, because Trump was in office, played the role of spoiler, seeking anyway to get him out of office. Hillary’s fake Steele dossier was spread all around the U.S. intel agencies including the CIA and FBI, launching illegal investigations of Trump and his 2016 campaign. But to Garland, who was a D.C. Appellate Court Judge at the time, was robbed by Trump and the Republican Party, especially former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), of his Supreme Court nomination by former President Barack Obama. So now that Garland’s in charge of the Justice Department, he’s giving Democrat friendly journalists free rein because they’re unlikely to go after 78-year-old President Joe Biden. Garland banned federal prosecutors, from going after journalists’ records.
When Trump was in office the so-called “deep state” leaked constantly to the press, generating endless fake stories of Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin, compromising U.S. national security. All the bogus articles featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, on CNN and MSNBC, all reported phony stories about Trump’s ties to enemy regimes, painting Trump’s lover of dictators, including himself. Garland’s decision to extend journalists more protections speaks volumes of how things have changed with Democrats and journalists all selling Biden’s domestic and foreign policy. On a domestic front, Biden’s runaway spending, driving the national debt through the roof, has raised serious concerns about inflation, but, more importantly, an endless recession, leaving 2021 U.S. Gross Domestic Product [GDP] down 22%, down from the the 2020 pandemic 32% decline.
Federal prosecutors, under Garland’s new order, are limited to seeking journalists’ personal records only if U.S. national security is involved or potential sex trafficking cases. Yet Trump spent four years in office with career DOJ officials leaking utter rubbish to the press to concoct the most vicious, distorted, twisted and perverted stories lacking proper journalist sourcing. Garland’s latest change gives Democrats absolute control over the U.S. journalism, with only a handful of independent or GOP-friendly news outlets left. “The attorney general has taken a necessary and momentous step to protect freedom at a critical time,” said Bruce Brown, the executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. As it stands today, the press is able to make up any lie, demonize any citizen, use fake news to hound responsible politicians out of office or destroy reputations of ordinary citizens.
Garland takes great pride in lashing out at Trump and the GOP for denying him his confirmation hearing in 2016 to the U.S. Supreme Court. Picking Garland, a senior appellate court judge, was not the right pick for Attorney General, especially at his age. Biden should have tapped 52-year-old former U.S. Atty. in the Southern District of Manhattan Preet Bharara, a far more up-to-date, skillful prosecutor. Garland’s now rubber stamping Biden’s wishes to keep a stranglehold on U.S. journalism, where an credentialed journalist can fabricate sources, make up stories and push a Democrat political agenda at the expense of elected officials and private citizens. What’s the need for leak investigators when the Democrat-friendly journalist community has no intent of going after Biden. Biden can get away with murder and major news outlets will do everything to cover it up.

Garland’s decision has nothing to do with preserving the First Amendment or journalistic freedom It has everything to do with the monopoly the Democrat Party has on U.S. journalism. Harvard’s Shorenstein School study showed that U.S. press coverage against Trump was 95% negative, making it impossible for him to develop positive approval ratings over his four years. “This historic new policy will ensure that journalists can do their job of informing the public without fear federal government intrusion into their relationships with confidential sources,” said Brown. Garland’s decision does the opposite: Guarantees fake news forever.
