Holding the second and last presidential debate in Nashville tonight, don’t expect 74-year-old President Donald Trump to go down without a knife fight. Like the first Fox News Debate with Chris Wallace Sept. 29, NBC’s Kristen Welker has done everything possible to sabotage Trump with her pro-Biden agenda for tonight. Welker, showing her transparent bias against Trump, selected soft-ball topics for Biden, part of his memorized talking points, including the Covid-19 crisis, racial relations, climate change and leadership, all of which set Trump up to look bad. How can a presidential debate not include a discussion about the economy or foreign relations? Because it’s all designed to get 77-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden over the finish line without a major gaffe. It Biden were talk about the economy or his long war-mongering track record on foreign policy, Trump would win hands down.

Can you imagine the so-called nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates approving the topics that come right out of Bidien’s campaign talking points? How pathetic that Welker, whose NBC and affiliate network, is as opposed to Trump’s reelection as anyone. So, when the media muses over whether tonight’s debate will be any more civil, you’ve got to be kidding. Trump will spend every minute of his time talking about the economy, foreign policy and the current headline news item about Joe and his son Hunter’s corruption. Expecting Trump to go along with Welker’s predigested agenda to help Joe get through without a gaffe is preposterous. Joe has already said openly his position on the New York Post story discussing emails found on Hunter’s old laptop implicating him in the Burisma Holdings scandal, where he landed Hunter a $83,000 a month job at a corrupt Ukrainian energy company.

Trump’s not going to let Welker filibuster what he thinks voters should hear before the election. Joe told the media today that the New York Post Story is a campaign smear, pure and simple. Joe says the whole matter has been discredited by authoritative sources yet he can’t name one. No one it his campaign has denied that the damaging emails recovered on Hunter’s laptop that show he met with a Burisma Holdings executive. Joe’s campaign insists that his calendar showed no meeting with Burisma Holdings but the email of Hunter from the Burisma Holdings executive confirms it. So Joe will get surly and categorically deny everything in the debate while Trump tries gets the fact out to the public. It’s obvious to all that the mainstream press and social media platforms have done everything possible to suppress the New York Post story, a flashing red light now on the campaign.

When Trump goes off topic to expose the New York Post story, he’ll no doubt get flack from Welker and Biden. They’ll admonish Trump for not sticking to Joe’s favorite topics handpicked by Welker, Covid-19, climate change, racism and leadership. Welker wants to make sure there’s no mention of Trump’s three recent peace deals, two with Israel and Gulf Arab States and one with Serbia and Kosovo, all three earning Trump two Nobel Prize nominations. Welker will do everything to prevent Trump from talking about Joe’s abysmal foreign policy record, voting for the Iraq War, backing the Saudi proxy war for eight years as Vice President causing 500,000 deaths and displacing 15 million to the Mideast and Europe, then, if that weren’t bad enough, toppling Col Muammar Gaddafi, flooding Libya with terrorism. No, Welker wants to talk about climate change and racism.

Trump was set up in the first debate by Chris Wallace, now finds himself, ambushed again by the Trump-hating press looking to take him out on Nov. 3. But for anyone watching the debate tonight, it will be every bit of the rumble seen on Sept. 29 then some. Trump’s last hurrah won’t show his obedience while the moderator and Biden pile on when it comes to Covid-19, climate change and race. What utter nonsense when the average American has no clue whether they’ll have a job or whether the economy will crash into another Great Depression. Biden has an economic plan but doesn’t want to talk about how he’ll raise takes, restore government red tape and kill whatever hope there is of an economic recovery. Biden’s already said he’ll listen to the “scientists,” whether or not to call for more economic shutdowns to deal with new spikes of Covid-19

Anyone expecting a quiet, dignified debate is kidding him or herself. Trump knows he’s been set up by Welker and NBC News, whose affiliate MSNBC is the most anti-Trump cable station on the air, only matched by CNN. Picking the softball topics, Welker hopes to get Joe out of the debate without a major gaffe, something that would confirm Trump’s narrative that Joe suffers from cognitive impairments. Look to Biden, like the last debate, to recite his memorized campaign talking points right into the camera. Other that cutting off Trump’s mike, it’s going to be another rumble, not a civilized, compliant, obedient exercise in futility. If Welker wanted it to be civil, she would have spent the debate on the economy and foreign policy, not letting Joe recite his campaign stump speeches. Look for more fireworks tonight with Joe denying that he did anything wrong in the Burisma scandal.
