Putting 80-year-old National Institutes of Health [NIH] chief of Allergy and Infectious Disease Dr. Anthony Fauci in the news, the Democrat Party has used the venerable old public servant to make the case against 74-year-old President Donald Trump’s handling of the Covid-19 crisis. Democrats built their 2020 campaign on the over 220,000 deaths, blaming Trump, but not saying what, if anything, 77-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden would do differently. Biden says nothing other than telling voters to wear masks, something that’s been said ad nauseam but won’t stop the novel coronavirus as it ravages the U.S. Trump has done everything possible short o shutting down the U.S. economy for a second time, something that proved disastrous when he did it in April and May. Biden keeps saying that Trump should do something but has no clue what.

When Trump talks about Operation Warp Speed, to produce a vaccine in record time, Biden and his 56-year-old running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) tell voters the vaccine can’t be trusted. Biden and Harris have frightened citizens without merit into believing that an FDA-approved vaccine would be a bad thing. Biden has said, among other things, that the economy can’t get back to normal unless there’s an effective vaccine. Yet when talking about the Herculean efforts made by Trump to get a vaccine in record time, Biden and Harris say it wouldn’t be safe. Both know that no vaccine would hit the market from any U.S. or foreign drug maker unless it was scientifically tested and approved. Biden and Harris can’t have it both ways: Criticizing Trump for doing nothing then rejecting a vaccine once its approved. Any vaccine approved would be safe-and-effective.

Democrats drag Fauci into the fray thinking that they can use him as a foil against Trump. But when asked what, if anything, the White House could do differently, Democrats and Fauci cant’ say. Everyone knows that wearing masks, washing hands and social distancing are the best practices to control the virus spread. But they also know that it’s impractical to consider shutting down the economy for a second time. Everyone knows that it’s beyond the time that more shutdowns would do anything to slow the spread of the virus. “People are tired of Covid,” Trump said. “People are tired of hearing Fauci and these idiots, all these idiots who called it wrong,” referring to forecasting think tanks that have gotten the numbers wrong. But more that anything else, neither Fauci nor the Biden campaign has any idea what to do differently to slow the spread of the virus other than shutting down the economy.

Fauci put himself out there on national TV and radio stations urging citizens to continue wearing masks, washing hand and social distancing. There’s nothing knew from Fauci or anyone else in the public health sector about what to do more to stop the spread of the virus. Biden and Harris tell voters that Trump’ opposed to masks, something that doesn’t accurately express his position. Trump has no problem with masks just wants the public to know that it’s not going to stop the spread of the virus. Neither Biden nor Harris can say what they’d do differently, other than criticize Trump for not doing enough. “Coronavirus infections are spiking across the country, but President Trump decided to attack Dr. Fauci today . . . instead of laying out a plan to beat this virus or heeding their advice about how we can save lives and get our economy moving again,” Biden said in a campaign statement.

Hyping Covid-19 cases, Biden hope to scare more voters into voting for him and Harris, both have said nothing about what they’d do differently. What more plan can Trump offer after contracting the virus Oct. 1., spending three days at Walter Reed Medical center getting state-of-the-art treatment? Trump plan is to provide advanced therapeutics then get a new vaccine at the earliest possible time. Trump has pointed out that our economy, as measure by corporate earnings and the stock market, has done everything possible to jumpstart the economy. Wrangling over a new stimulus bill, Democrats led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) have worked in overdrive to come up with an acceptable stimulus plan with more money for Covid-19 testing. But whether there’s more money for testing or not, the Covid-19 crisis can only be helped by a safe-and-effective vaccine.

When you consider that neither Fauci nor the Biden campaign can come up with one thing the Trump White House can do differently to manage the Covid-19 crisis, it’s doubtful that there’s anything left to do other than get out the vaccine. “The American people have never backed down from a challenge,” Biden’s statement read. “But they need a leader to show the way and all President Trum has done is cower and wallow in self-pity.” Anyone knowing Trump knows he doesn’t “cower and wallow in self-pity.” Biden know nothing about what’s written and attributed to him. Biden and Harris give Trump zero credit for mobilizing the nation’s resources to build ventilators and produce more personal protective gear for first responders. Both have no plan other than using Covid-19 to win the election.
