Kicking 74-year-old President Donald Trump while he’s down recuperating from a bad case of coronavirus AKA SARS CoV-2 or Covid-19, news from Washington Post turned Democrat political hack Bod Woodward indicates Trump didn’t have time to talk March 19 with 80-year-old Dr. Anthony Fauci. Woodward insists Trump told him that he didn’t have much time to talk to what the press calls “the nation’s leading expert on infectious disease.” Fauci gladly takes the title, whether it’s accurate or not, of the nation’s leading authority on infectious disease. Woodward’s book “Rage,” quotes president saying March 19 “he didn’t have a lot time to talk to Fauci.” On March 19 there were about 3,000 novel coronavirus cases in the U.S. and three deaths. Woodward said in his book Trump that “downplayed” the virus, didn’t take it seriously because he didn’t call a national emergency.
One January 28 when Woodward accused Trump of withholding the real facts from the American public about the novel coronavirus, there only a few cases and no deaths, yet Woodward accused Trump of not taking the virus seriously or declaring a national epidemic. When Woodward told the media Trump “downplayed the virus,” he didn’t say how many cases existed in the U.S. at the time. Two weeks before Woodward interviewed Trump Jan. 28, World Health Organization Drictor-General Tedros Adhanom said Jan. 14 there was no “human-to-human” transmission in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the novel coronavirus outbreak. Yet Woodward and the Democrat Party adopted preposterous assertions about “downplaying” the virus to discredit the Trump presidency. Thanks to political hacks like Woodward and a corrupt U.S. press, Trump probably won’t get reelected.
There’s nothing wrong with stating facts for public consumption, there’s something very wrong with Woodward violating the truth for politics. Trump may not get reelected but it shouldn’t be because he didn’t due his duty to protect the American public. When Trump banned all flights from China Jan. 31, Tedros rippedTrump Feb. 5 in Geneva for interfering with China’s sovereignty.. Democrat nominee former Vice President Joe Biden said at the time Trump was “xenophobic” for banning flights from China. Running with the Woodward narrative, the Democrat Party isn’t concerned about truth, they want Trump out of office as soon as possible. Democrats tried to impeach Trump from before day he took office, claiming he had corrupt ties to the Kremlin. When that was debunked March 23, 2019 by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Democrats found another reason for impeachment.
Now Trump’s infected with coronaviurs getting every know treatment but facing the unenviable prospect of continuing his campaign hobbled by a stubborn virus that isn’t likely to disappear. Even if Trump gets back on the campaign trail, he’s already too far behind in the polls, now asking voters to give him a second chance. Watching the president and many of his staff get coronavirus plays right into the Democrat narrative that he hasn’t taken Covid-19 seriously. When he held a Rose Garden ceremony Sept. 26 announcing Judge Amy Coney Barrett as his pick to replace the late Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, there wasn’t much social distancing or mask wearing. Now that numerous attendees have come down with the virus, it makes Trump look foolish, including his Communication Director Hope Hicks and Press Secretary Kaleigh McEnany and Senior Adviser Kellynne Conway.
Getting out Walter Reed Medical Center today, Trump hopes to get back to business as usual but confronts an uphill battle before the Nov. 3 election. With 61-year-old Vice President Mike Pence debating 55-year-old Democrat VP pick Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) Oct. 7 and Trump scheduled to debate 77-year-old former Vice President and Democrat nominee Joe Biden Oct. 15, there’s little time left before Nov. 3. Harris will no doubt hammer Pence about what happened in the White House Rose Garden Sept. 26, demonstrating the White House disregard for following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. Pence can only hope he can switch topics away from the Covid-19 crisis, something on all Americans’ minds heading into the Nov. 3 election. Whether Trump likes it or not, coronavirus is the only issue on voters’ minds in 2020.
Whatever the propaganda about the coronavirus crisis, it doesn’t help Trump’s cause that so many at the White House have been hit with the virus. It’s no accident that holding the packed ceremony for Barrett contributed to the current White House outbreak, leaving voters with a bad taste less than a month before Election Day. With early voting already taking place, it’s going to be difficult for Trump to change the narrative before the election. Democrats, with National Institutes of Healing Dr. Anthony Fauci by their side, can say “I told you so” between now and the election. Trump’s lost control of the narrative—and the election—getting infected himself, now trying to convince voters to ignore reality. When Biden starts piling up Electoral College votes Nov. 3, there won’t be much talk about a disputed election, with a clear victory for all to see.
