Democrats found their best friend in Sen. Mitt Romeny (R-Ut.) who despises everything Trump, now dismisses Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-Iowa) investigation into 77-year-old former Vice President and Democrat nominee Joe Biden and his 50-year-old son Hunter for activities in Ukraine between 2015 to 2019. Johnson and Grassley have accused Joe, while leading former President Barack Obama’s anti-corruption task force on Ukraine, of engaging in corruption. Democrats dismiss any possible impropriety as Russian disinformation trying to smear Biden in the 2020 presidential election. But any cursory look at what Joe did for Hunter in Ukraine raises red flags. When Joe was VP, he landed his son Hunter, who has zero experience in energy, a $83,000 a month job in corrupt natural gas company, Burisma Holdings board.. If that doesn’t raise red flags, what does?

Romney accused Republicans of playing politics during an election years, reciting Democrat talking points. Romney continues to be a thorn in Trump’s side, joining the most partisan Democrats to get back at Trump and help Biden get elected. Democrats hoped that before the first presidential debate Sept. 29 they could resolve any outstanding questions about how Joe helped his son land a lucrative job in Ukraine at a corrupt energy company. Romney would do anything to see Trump defeated. Helping discredit the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee probe into Joe and Hunter would be a positive step. But, unlike Romney who joined Democrats to help elect Joe, some people really want to know whether Joe engaged in his own corruption while running Obama’s anti-corruption task force. Democrats worry how Joe will respond when Trump brings it up in the debate.

Biden has refused to take any questions from the press about Hunter or his time working on Obama’s anti-corruption task force. President Donald Trump, 74, was impeached by the House for asking 41-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about Joe and Hunter Biden in Ukraine. While Trump was acquitted in the Senate Feb. 5 after a brief, perfunctory trial, questions linger about how Joe landed Hunter an $83,000 a month job on Burisma Holdings board. Romney and his Democrat friends insists that it’s all Election Year politics, claiming Joe or Hunter did nothing wrong. “I’m fearful that comments made in the media recently have only confirmed that perspective,” Romney said, referring to Democrat-media reports that investigating Joe or Hunter is all about politics. Romney had no objections when numerous Democrat House committees investigated Trump for Russian collusion.

Romney only objects to the appearance of conflicts-of-interests or political considerations when it comes to Joe Biden. When it came to House Committee accusing Trump of treason, dereliction of duty, conflicts-of-interest, Russian collusion, etc., Romey had no problem as long as it helped impeach Trump. Mitt’s hatred to Trump is so extreme, he joins any anti-Trump group, no matter how corrupt and anti-American, to get rid of the president. “Stay tuned . . . we’re going to learn a whole lot more of [former] Vice President Biden’s fitness for office,” Johsnon told GOP activists Sept. 14. Unlike Romney that joins Democrats looking to discredit Johnson’s investigation, some people want to know if a man who wants to be president has been corrupt. Even Hunter admitted to ABC’s “Good Morning America” Oct. 15, 2019 that it was probably bad judgment to have accepted the Burisma Holdings job.

Biden’s campaign is deathly afraid of Joe reacting defensively if challenged in the debate about Joe’s role in landing Hunter his $83,000 a month job of Burisma Holding’s board. “Now, for the second time in two days, Johnson has explicitly admitted the true purpose of this sham to bail out Donald Trump’s re-election campaign,” said Biden spokesman Andrew Bates in a statement. Bates didn’t say that Joe did nothing wrong getting Hunter his lucrative job, only that it could be used against Biden’s campaign. Finding anything corrupt or out-of-the-norm could, of course, hurt someone’s campaign but not only for that purpose. Democrats spent the last four years insisting that Trump has a personal relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who’s actively working to get him reelected. Democrats have no proof of the accusations, making the unfounded charges to damage Trump’s credibility.

Romney’s interested in one thing: Getting Joe elected president. “It’s not the legitimate role of a government for Congress or for taxpayers expense to be used as an effort to damage political opponents,” Romney said. Romney had no problems using tax payer-funded Congressional committees to investigate and accuse Trump of high-crimes-and-misdemeanors. Romney has no problem with Biden landing his son Hunter an $83,000 a month job on a corrupt Ukrainian energy company. Maybe Mitt would do the same for one of his sons, so it’s not a big deal. But for everyone else, the public has a right to know if Joe used his office and clout to land Hunter a lucrative job in Ukraine. No matter how you slice it, Hunter said it best when he admitted Oct. 15 on “Good Morning Amreica” that it was probably a bad idea to take the job. Hunter also confessed he wouldn’t have gotten the job without his father.
