Refusing to testify in the House Judiciary Committee today, 68-year-old Atty. Gen. William Bar echoed the sentiments of 72-year-old President Donald Trump who said, “enough is enough,” since the March 22 Mueller report found no Russian collusion and no basis for charging Trump with obstruction of justice. Since Barr released his four-page summary March 24, then followed it up with a full, redacted report April 18, Democrats have gone wild, moving full-steam ahead with multiple investigations, demanding Trump release his tax returns and looking into his past business practices. Barr spent five hours testifying April 30 in the Senate Judiciary Committee, where Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Ha.) called him a “liar,” for past statements that didn’t exactly add up. On the job as attorney general for six weeks, Barr got baptized-by-fire in Washington’s partisan mosh-pit.
Democrats hoped that Mueller found Trump guilty of collusion and obstruction to help their chances in the 2020 election. When Mueller found Trump guilty of neither, Democrats decided to move ahead with their own investigations in Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-Calif.) House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Jerold Nadler’s (D-N.Y.) House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings’ (D-Md.) House Government Oversight Committee and Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) House Finance Committee, all of whom committed to impeaching Trump. Barr looked at what he was in for in the House Judiciary Committee and decided to pass. “It’s simply part of the administration stonewalling of Congress,” Nadler told reporters. Forget about the fact that Trump allowed Barr to release a full, redacted Mueller report without asserting executive privilege, something the president could have done.
Nadler wants to turn Barr’s decision to not testify into a “cover-up,” when Mueller said there’s nothing to cover up, since he found not once person in the Trump campaign or anywhere else guilty of Russian collusion. Nadler knows there can’t be any obstruction because Mueller established there was no underlying crime. Whatever Trump’s attempts to change personnel, including Mueller, were not attempts a obstruction but frustration over false accusations investigated by the FBI for alleged Russian collusion. Trump knew he was innocent but watched Democrats in Congress, former Obama officials, the FBI and media accuse him of treason. Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe told host Scott Pelley Feb. 20 on CBS’s “60 Minutes” that Trump was a “Russian asset.” McCabe knew that Trump was not a Russian asset when he made the charge.
Getting to the real reason behind Congressional Democrats’ inquiries and McCabe’s obvious smoking blowing, the FBI’s in damage control mode, trying to counteract the damage that could come from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation. Former FBI officials like Director James Comey, MeCabe, Agent Peter Strzok, FBI attorney Lisa Page and others face potential criminal charges for abusing the nation’s national security apparatus to sabotage Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign to elect former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Barr’s refusal to submit to more hazing by the House Intel Committee is not about the Mueller report, it’s about Democrats’ strategy to keep the conspiracy going into the 2020 election. Democrats’ despise Barr because he’s made a compelling case why the two-year Mueller investigation ended without benefiting Democrats.
Not one Democrat on any Congressional Committees investigating Trump want any part of Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Barr or IG Michael Horowitz’s probe into unlawful spying by former Obama administration DOJ, FBI and National Security Agency [NSA] officials. Mueller’s report provides the FBI cover against what could be the worst abuse of the agency in U.S. history. Former FBI Director James Comey and McCabe have practically stood on their heads to cover-up the FBI’s conspiracy to sabotage Trump’s presidential campaign, then his presidency. Mueller’s highly unusual decision to not charge Trump with obstruction of justice but leave the question open to Congress inserts his attempt to cover-up the FBI’s covert role in sabotaging Trump’s 2016 campaign. Barr said openly that Mueller breached DOJ protocol passing the obstruction issue to Congress.
Democrats and former Obama officials at the DOJ, FBI and NSA have done everything possible to cover-up their conspiracy in unlawfully spying on the Trump campaign to help Hillary get elected. McCabes’s Feb. 20 statement that Trump was a “Russian asset,” continues to cover-up that the FBI had probable cause to use the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] Court to wiretap key Trump officials. Comey said the FBI had probable cause to open up a counter-intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign other that Hillary’s paid opposition research AKA “the dossier.” Graham and IG Horowitz are looking into the FBI role in “spying” on Trump and his campaign. Comey acts incredulous when asked if he spied on the Trump campaign. Calling the FBI’s activity lawful surveillance, Comey’s one step closer to being outed for illegally spying.
