Whether Democrats like it or not, recently released text messages between FBI Assistant Director of Counter-Intelligence Peter Strzok and his FBI attorney-mistress Lisa Page point to White House involvement in the spying scandal against Trump campaign officials. All the focus on former FBI Director James Comey diverts attention away from former President Barack Obama, his Attorney General Loretta Lynch and National Security Adviser Susan Rice. Rice testified Sept. 14, 2017 to the House Intelligence Committee that she “unmasked” wiretapped conversation between former Russian Amb. Sergey Kislyak and Trump campaign officials. With all the media focused on Comey getting a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act {FISA] Court to wiretap former Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page, it’s diverted attention away from Obama, Lynch and Rice.
Recent responses in the media by Comey suggest the FBI had every right to wiretap Page for his past dealings with the Kremlin, refusing to admit he used former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s paid opposition research AKA “the dossier” for probable cause to the FISA Court judge. Responding to the GOP memo compiled by House Intelligence Committee Co-Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the FBI and Democrats insist that the FBI used more intel than the so called “dossier.” Yet when pressed on the use of opposition research to seek FISA Court warrants to wiretap Trump campaign officials, the FBI admitted to seeking “the dossier’s author Christopher Steele’s advice. More information on how Comey used Steele directly to dredge up dirt on Trump raises questions about who gave the order to investigate Trump campaign officials. Strzok and Page offered to write the FBI’s talking points to Obama.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said Strzok and Page’s texts reveal Obama’s direct involvement in the spying scandal on Trump campaign officials. Strzok’s Sept. 2, 2016 text said Obama “wants to know everything we’re doing,” with respect to investigating Trump. Hillary was cleared July 5, 2016 on her email scandal, only two weeks before the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, by Comey and his chief investigator Deputy Asst. FBI Director Andrew McCabe. Strzok insisted Obama “wants to know everything we’re doing,” most likely referring to investigating Trump campaign officials. If Obama used the U.S. national security apparatus, including the FISA Court, to investigate Trump to help Hillary’s chances in the Nov. 8 election, it would be an unprecedented abuse of the national security system.
Text messages unearthed by the Inspector General between Strzok and Page shows they were committed to keeping Trump out of the Oval Office. “Questions about the type and extent of President Obama’s personal involvement in the Clinton email scandal and the FBI investigation of it,” said Johnson, shows that Obama, his Attorney General Loretta Lynch and National Security Adviser Susan Rice were deeply involved in investigating the Trump campaign. While all fingers point toward Carter Page, the real breaches of U.S. national security were happening by “unmasking” wiretapped conversation between former National Security Adviser Gen. Michael Flynn and Atty. Gen Jeff Sessions. Strzok called Virginians who voted against McCabe’s wife, “ignorant Hillbillies,” May 10, 2017, the day after Trump fired Comey. McCabe was acting FBI Director after Comey’s dismissal.
When you connect the dots about Obama’s interest in the FBI investigations into Hillary’s emails or Trump’s campaign, Susan Rice’s admission that she ordered the “unmasking” of Flynn and Sessions, and Lynch’s June 27, 2016 meeting with former President Bill Clinton on the tarmac in Phoenix, all adds to Obama’s involvement in the investigations. If you look for motives, it’s clear that putting the Trump campaign under FBI scrutiny would scare of voters come Election Day. Because Comey relied heavily on Hillary’s paid opposition research, including direct contacts with its author Christopher Steele, it shows the extent of the FBI’s attempt to keep Trump out of the White House. Strzok and Page referred to Trump as an “idiot” and “loathsome human,” showing, inside the FBI, a concerted attempt to sabotage his campaign. Both Stzrok and Page worked for Mueller’s Special Counsel probe.
When Mueller found out Strzok and Page’s text exchanges, they were relieved from duties on the Special Counsel staff. Strzok and Page shared their horror after Trump beat Hillary Nov. 8. 2016. “OMG THIS IS F***ING TERRIFYING,” Strzok texted Page late on Election Night. “OMG, I am so depressed,” Page texted Strzok. FBI officials dismiss the texts as simply personal opinions of agency employees. But when you add everything up, it raises disturbing questions about Obama administration involvement in the FBI’s use of the nation’s intel apparatus to sabotage Trump chances at becoming president. More than bias at the FBI, the text and testimony indicate that Obama gave his approval to former Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch and former National Security Adviser Susan Rice to do whatever it took to upend Trump’s campaign to ensure a Hillary victory.
