LOS ANGELES (OC).–,–Playing a tough rooster with President Donald Trump, 48-year-old French President Emmanuel Macron flexed his muscles, saying Europe was united behind Demark and Greenland dealing with Trump’s threats to take over the Arctic Island. But beyond Greenland Macron gave away the role he plays in sabotaging Trump’s Ukraine peace plan, equating him with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Responding to opposition in the EU to Trump’s request to Denmark to buy Greenland, Trump said he would apply 10% more tariffs on France, Germany, U.K., Demark, Sweden, Finand and other EU countries opposed to his attempt to take over the Arctic island. “Taruff threats are unacceptable and have no place in this context,” Macron said, Marcon wrote on X Europe was “united and coordinated.” Macron establishes himeslelf in the EU and Trump’s enemy.
Trump has big problems with Macron who, like German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, opposes Trump’s peace plan that asks Ukraine to cede sovereign territory to the Kremlin. Forget about the fact that Ukraine hasn’t controlled eastern Donbas, including Donetsk and Luhansk, since 2014, the time of the Maiden Revolution when Kremlin-backed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was chased out of Kiev. Marcon was responsible for sending a small contingent of EU forces for Arctic training in response to Trump’s warnings about taking over Greenland. Macron has become a thorn in Trump’s side opposing his plans in Greenland, but, more importantly, opposing his peace plans in Ukraine. Macron and the EU has no peace plan in Ukraine, only perpetuating a destructive war that wrecks Ukraine by the day.
Macron has taken on the leading voice in the EU opposed to Trump’s policies in Greenland and Ukraine. “No intimidation and no threat can influence us, neither in Ukraine, nor Greenland, no anywhere else in the world, whe wer are confronted with such as situation,” Macron said. Macron including Ukraine is a clear sign that, along with Zelensky, he opposes Trump’s attempt to surrender sovereging territory to Moscow in exchange for peace. Macron agrees with Zelensky that any peace deal must have Putin pull out of Ukraine entirely, something so fartetched, so unrealistic that it doesn’t deserve discussion. Trump has only good intention with Greenland, wanting, unlike Denmark, to make a substantial economic commitment to the Arctic island to boost tourism and overall business. Macron acts like Trump wants to set up a fascist state in Greenland.
Trump has worked feverishly for months to come up with a plan to end the Ukraine War closely coordinated with Putin. What his Macron done to promote peace> Macron and his EU colleagues came up with a post-war plan that would place NATO troops in Ukraine, something viewed as a deal breaker to Putin. Yet Macron acts like he’s protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty when he’s doing everything possible to continue wrecking Ukraine. Macron knows that Ukraine, with all the EU weapons-and-cash, cannot defeat the Russian Federation. Yet Macron pours all his energy into an unending war with the Kremlin. What’s Macron trying to do: Destroy what’s left of Ukraine or drive even more military recruits into desertion and draft-dodging? Trump wants to end the war to stop the carnage and destruction. Macron has only promoted war with the Kremlin.
Why does Macron object so vehemently to the U.S. annexing Greenland, to develop the country economically and protect its sovereignty? As it stands now, Greenland could be easily taken over by Russia or China, whether or no they’ve show any interest in do so. Most foreign policy experts think the Arctic region has become more competitive with countries mining for rare earth minerals and oil. Trump politically opponents in the U.S. want him to keep his hands off the Alaska wilderness that contains all the rare earth and petroleum geology to keep the U.S. energy independent for generations. Trump now battles with the same progressive politics in Europe that would rather see Ukraine destroyed and lost sovereign territory daily to battle the Kremlin. Trump wants to end the war so Ukraine can stop the carnage and begin rebuilding its battered infrastructure and economy.
` Macron accuses Trump of intimidating Demark, Greenland and the EU. “ No intimidation and no threat can influence us, neither in Ukraine nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the wolrd, when wer are confronted with such,” Macron said. Trump isn’t trying to intimidate anyone, he’s trying to talk some common sense into Demark and Greenland. Greenland gets little or nothing from Demark that doesn’t have the resources needed to pour resources into Greenland. No one in the White House wants to erase the Greenland culture, only to improve their economy and standard of living. Macron gave away his motive dragging Ukraine into the discussion. Where does Macron and the EU think they’re helping Ukraine by perpetuating a war with the Kremlin that destroys Ukraine, and, at the same time, destabilizes the European Continent?
