LOS ANGELES (OC)Playing the European Union [EU] for a fool, 47-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proved President Donald Trump 100% right that he’s the greatest salesman he’s ever seen.  Trump figured Zelensky out early, refusing to let Zelensky gaslight the U.S. for one more minute after former President Joe Biden fell right into Zelensky’s trap.  Zelensky told Biden that his war with the Kremlin defended European democracy, something so preposterous it’s hard to believe the EU bought Zelensky’s claptrap.  Zelensky can’t defend his own country from his ill-advised decision Feb. 24, 2022 to go to war with the Kremlin.  Zelensky didn’t like it Feb. 28, 2025 in the Oval Office when Trump told him he didn’t have the cards and should cut his losses and end the war.  Zelensky accused Trump of supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin, denouncing Trump to the EU.

Facing millions of draft dodgers and deserters should tell the EU the whole story about backing the Ukraine War.  Zelensky wants to continue the war to collect as much cash-and-arms from the EU that he can get. Spending billions of borrowed money on the war has been a colossal blunder for Zelensky, losing in four years some 25% of Ukraine’s best sovereign territory.  Zelensky refuses to tell the truth to the Ukrainian people that he’s done nothing but destroy Ukraine and lose territory since opting for war with the Kremlin Feb. 24, 2022.  Trump offered Zelensky Feb. 28m 2025 in the Oval Office an off-ramp but he refused to take it.  Even when Zelensky realized that the gravy train was over with the U.S. he still refused to accept Trump’s peace plans for ending the war.  Zelensky went to the EU telling they that Trump was selling Ukraine down the river.

Ukraine’s new defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov told Ukraine’s parliament that that millions of draft-eligible citizens have deserted and evaded the draft entirely, posing serious problems for arming the 600 mile frontline where Russia continues to push into Ukrainian territory. Fodorov complained about bureaucratic red tape making it difficult for the military to replace deserters and draft dodgers.  “We cannot fight a war with new technologies but an old organization structure,” Fedorov told the parliament.  Fedorov, 34, rose from the rands, heading up Ukraine’s technological warfare dividion, rapidly creating a drone warfare branch to fend off Russian attacks.  Zelensky continues to reshuffle his government, only recently appointing his former chief of military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov to chief of staff.  Budanov said the Russian military was near collapse.

Budanov claimed when the war started Feb. 24, 2022 that President Vladimir Putin suffered from a terminal illness and the Russian military was near collapse.  How can anyone in the EU believe a word Zelensky says when he’s consistently gaslighted the U.S. and EU when the war has gone very badly.  Only Trump knew the truth about Zelensky from Day One, that he was looking only for cash-and-arms but not peace.  Only the EU hasn’t come up to speed, handing Zelensky recently over 100 billion euros. Zelensky tried to convince the EU to confiscate frozen Russian assets to give to him as war reparations.  Zelensky was told that it would create chaos in the EU banking system to take Russian assets without legal justification.  Zelensky didn’t care about EU liability only about getting the cash.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen showed how she’s been duped by Zelensky confirming the EU has funded Zelensky for the next two years.  Why hasn’t von der Leyen signed on to Trump’s peace plan and saved the EU billions of euros? Fedorov now says the military is running deficits, prompting Zelensky to ask the EU for even more cash.  Fedorov talks about how much Ukraine has developed its arms-manufacturing sector, especially for drones.  Whatever Fedorov says the fact remains that Ukraine’s military already runs deficits despite the cash infusion from the EU.  Zelensky has no plan to sign on to Trump’s peace plan to save his country from more carnage and destruction from Russia.  No one in the EU has any peace plan, other that unacceptable talk about a post-war security force, totally prohibited by Putin and the Kremlin.

EU leaders have been utterly duped by Zelensky refusing to compromise with Putin on ending the war.  Putin made a reasonable offer to Zelensky, the same offer he made in March 2022 shortly after the war started.  Putin offered to end the war if Zelensky recognized the independence of Donetsk and Lunhask, the same offer  he’s mae recently to end the conflict.  Trump knows exactly wat Putin needs to end the war.  Given Zelensky refusal to compromise, Trump should move on to deal with other foreign policy challenges, especially Iran and Greenland.  Trump wants Demark to sell Greenland to the U.S. or hinted he’ll go the “hard way” to take over the country.  When it comes to Iran, Trump has notified the Ayatollah that if he continues to slaughter pro-democracy proterstesr, Trump will consider a range of options to stop the massacre.
