LOS ANGELES (OC).–French President Emmauel Macron, 48, ripped the United States for President Donald Trump’s recent actions in Venezuela, arresting 63-year-old dictator Nicolas Maduro and his 69-year-old wife, Cilia Flores.  Maduro was accused of narco-terrorism by U.S. officials, currently facing charges in Manhattan U.S. district court.  “The United States is an established power, but it is progressively turning away from some of its allies and breaking away from international rules that it protected until recently,” Macron said to ambassadors in Paris.  Macron has been convening European leaders to, once again, sabotage Trump peace efforts in Ukraine.  Macron and other EU leaders have pledged their loyalty to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the expense of Ukraine’s people. Trump offered Zelensky the best opportunity to end the war and spare his country more carnage and destruction.

Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer have given Zelensly a blank check to fund proxy war with the Russian Federation.  When Trump came to power Jan. 20, 2025, he was determined to reset U.S.-Russian relations after former President Joe Biden all but destroyed the relationship.  Trump saw quickly Ukraine went down the wrong track going to the war with the Kremlin.  Trump told Zelensky Feb. 28, 2025 he was badly out-gunned by Russia and was destroying his country with nearly four years of war.  Macron, Merz and Starmer have done everything possible to sabotage Trump’s peace efforts with the EU having no plan at all for ending the war. Yet Macron talks about international law and rules-based world order.  Macron talks of international law and the rules-based order while promoting war between Russia and Ukraine.

Macron undermining Trump’s peace plans does more to damage the international community and rules-based order than anythingTrump does to stop state-sponsored narco-terrorism in Venezuela.  Macron and the EU have done more harm to Ukraine by perpetuating the war with Russia than anything Trump has done in Venezuela.  Macron is flat-out jealous of Trump because he commands real clout on the world stage while Macron has become more irrelevant.  Slamming Trump shows that Macron doesn’t really care about European Security, fashioning a post-war securityarrangements that prevents Zelensky from ending the war.  Macron said he doesn’t want to cede any Ukrainian land to Putin because it would embolden him to expand future territory in the EU.  Putin has been clear and emphatic that he has no intention of expanding territory to the EU.

Macron told ambassadors in Paris that world powers try to “divide up the world,” accusing Trump of violating international law and the rules-based order in Venezuela.  But the day that Maduro got involved in narco-trafficking he lost his authority as a head-of-state.  Trump feels the same way about Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who’s be sponsoring terrorism in the Middle East .Macron doesn’t get that world leaders lose their authority once they engage in criminal activity.   U.S. authorities accuse Maduro of narco-trafficking, something that de-legitimizes his sovereity in Venezuela.  Maduro will get his chance to prove his innocence from the government’s charges in court. He’s no doubt paid a high-priced defense attorney to discredit the U.S. case against him.  How Macron has blinded himself to what he’s doing to perpetuate the Ukraine War is anyone’s guess.

Macron blames Russia, China and now the U.S. for violating international law and the rules-based order. But what violates international law more funding proxy war with the Kremlin or Trump arresting a narco-terrorist for exploiting his role as head-of-state?  Maduro’s arrest was long overdue, especially running Venezuela into the ground, causing some 13 million citizens to flee the country. Trump wants to revitalize the Venezuelan oil industry, returning it to its past glory with cooperative relations with the U.S. oil industry But what violates international law more funding proxy war with the Kremlin or Trump arresting a narco-terrorist for exploiting his role as head-of-state?  Maduro’s arrest was long overdue, especially running Venezuela into the ground, causing some 13 million citizens to flee the country. Trump wants to revitalize the Venezuelan oil industry, returning it to its past glory with cooperative relations with the U.S. oil industry.

When Maduro predecessor Hugo Chavez confiscated the assets of the U.S. oil industry in 2007, he cost the U.S. billions of dollars.  Trump wants restitution from Chavez piracy, costing the U.S. oil industry billions. It’s now up to newly minted Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez to make amends or pay the same price as Maduro.  Macron doesn’t look at himself when he likes to point fingers at Trump.  If anyone has harmed international law and the rules-based order, it’s Macron and other EU leaders now funding proxy war in Ukraine.  What doesn’t the EU get about ending the deadliest war on the European Continent since WW II.  Funding Ukraine’s war with the Kremlin harms international law and the rules-based order.  “There is a risk that our Europe will be weakened,” said Macron, pretending that he’s saving international law not destroying it.
