LOS ANGELES (OC).–Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) complained that President Donald Trump’s recent attacks calling her a “traitor” and “wacky” have resulted in death threats against her and her 22-year-old son, Derek. “President Trump’s unwarranted and vicious attack against me were a dog whistle to dangerous radicals that could lead to serious attacks on me and many family,” Greene wrote on X. Rome, Georgia police, Greene’s residence, “in reference to the threa of Assassination to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s son,” said a police report. Anyone making death threats on the Internet or anywhere else should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. “I am going to assassinate MTG’s son,” read on email picked up Rome police. Trump needs to tell anyone who makes threats that he doesn’t condone violence against anyone, regardless of what he says about certain people.
Trump’s recent feud with Greene stems from her appearance on ABC News “The View” where she agreed with hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin calling for full disclosure of the Epstein Files. Trump has called the Epstein files a Democrat and fake news hoax, designed to distract the public from improvements in the U.S. economy and foreign policy. Green complained that Trump called her a “traitor,” “puts blood on the water and creates a feeding frenzy. And it could ultimately lead to a harmful or even deadly outcome,” Greene said, wanting Trump to tone down the rhetoric. Asked whether or not Greene’s life was in danger, Trump said he didn’t think anyone cares about Taylor Greene. “I don’t think her life is in danger. I don’t think, frankly, I don’t think anybody cares about her. Trump wants to paint Greene as a former Republican gone rogue.
Greene has morphed herself into an anti-Trump Republican, once a loyal acolyte in his first term in office and, more recently, winning the 2024 election. Green spoke more to “The View” about the Epstein files but was critical of Trump’s health care policy, where his July 4 Big Beautiful Bill cut $1.5 trillion out of Medicaid and Obamacare funding. Republicans have wanted to sabotage Obamacare since in came out in 2010, spending 15 years complaining about the program but doing nothing to fix it or change it to something better. Now that the real damage is six weeks away where Obamacare premiums are due to skyrocket by year’s end, Trump has some difficult choices. It’s too late for Republicans to fix Obamacare or propose alternative legislation, requiring Trump to extend government subsidies for at least one year. Trump has run out of options other than extending benefits.
Speaking to CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union,” Greene expressed regret if she ever contributed to toxic political atmosphere. Confessing to Trump-hater Dana Bash, Greene has gone to the dark side as far as Trump is concerned. What is Bash trying to accomplish getting Taylor Greene to confess on CNN that she was wrong to ever back Trump. “Dana, I think that’s fair criticism, and I would like to say humbly, I’m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics,” Greene said. “It’s very bad for our country. And it’s been something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated,” Taylor Greene told Bash. What does Taylor Greene think she’s accomplished confessing her sins to Bash, that she wants her constituency to know she’s reformed herself, now that she’s apologized on national TV for once backing Trump.
CNN has been in the forefront of bashing Trump, everyday, every minute since he became president for the first time in 2017. Trump’s second term has been no different with a changing cast of characters continue to rip Trump daily. Getting one of Trump’s biggest supporters, Marjorie Taylor Green, to betray Trump on national TV was a big much for even Trump to take. If he called Greene “wacky” or a “traitor,” she deserves it and then some. When conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at a Utah college Sept. 10, it didn’t occur to Greene that right wing activists were not responsible. If Greene has anything to fear, it’s not right wing activists at all. When it comes to Bash, she supports any group that lashes out at President Trump, believing, like most at CNN, that he’s the personification of evil on the planet.
Marjorie Taylor Green has gone through a kind of breakdown, now slamming Trump for his various policies including deporting illegal aliens and clamping down on the border. Greene once slammed former President Joe Biden for his border policy, leaving the country threatened by an alien invasion. When it comes to Trump, suddenly Taylor Greene has seen the light on health care and on deportation.. Whether Greene’s fearful that she’s vulnerable in her own district, going to CNN to rehab her image is a sickening realization that she’s do anything to stay in office. When it comes to Trump, her sudden reversal seems so phony, especially when confessing to one of the worst offenders of Trump derangement syndrome, CNN’s Dana Bash. No one has promoted Trump’s impeachment and other high crimes more than Bash, looking for anyway possible to get rid of him.
